Evolution Worlds.

Good luck finding a copy though, I'm lucky to still have mine.

Fun game, gives me one of my favorite female video game characters and two of my favorite video game characters period.
I have Evolution: the world of sacred device on Dreamcast which is like one part of Evolution worlds.

Pretty good, but I haven't had the chance to really play it that much though (as i recently just got it when i was hunting for dreamcast games).

Im guessing that one of those characters you are referring to is Linear.

Because I really like her as well. :3

(on another note, i would love to have a copy of Evolution worlds if only for the second part and the VA's).

Lords of Chaos [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lords_of_Chaos_%28video_game%29] was a favourite of mine many years ago.

For something more contemporary I'd go with Sacrifice [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacrifice_%28video_game%29] or Warhammer: Dark Omen [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Omen], which are probably pretty unknown these days to any apart from strategy fans.
Dark Omen was a particular favourite, wasted many hours playing that to get all the items and upgrades.

OMFG! I remember having so many great memories of Warhammer dark omen as a kid, thank you so very much for reminding me of this great game.

Patapon. A great psp game for 20$. It is so fun but hard to describe. It is a mix of multiple genres.

I dont know if this is an "unknown" game but Shadow of Memories for PS2 and new revoiced PSP version (or shadow of destiny if u live in america) was enjoyable. Ur stabbed in the beginning, and throughout the game ur killed in different ways and each time u are, you have to find ways to prevent that death untill u reach the root of it all. It is a short game, (i was able to complete it in 2 hours) but still it is fun, and watching Ike (main Charecter) get killed over and over was quite amuseing....to compromise for the short gameplay, there are about 5 or 6 diff ending, im not quite sure, but all of them reveal more about the charecters and their origins. anyway i thought the premise and idea's were original.

Lunar Knights on DS.
I only know one other person who has played it and that's because I lent it to him
MGS gameplay+ Vampire Spaceship shooting sequences+ Throwing bosses into the sun to kill them. They should have kept the Boktai title, because Lunar Knights needs more love.

Also for the DS, Lost Magic. Draw the runes you pansy! I don't care if it's infinite enemies! You rally your troops and you draw some goddamn runes! One of the few stylus games I liked.

I'll have to revisit this thread after I finish Sharin No Kuni, after which I'll know if it counts as one of my favourite games.
God i remember this, i hated the "upper-half of a human body" things that would fall from the ceiling hung by there necks! Scared the shit out of me every time!

My own Choice - Lost Kingdoms 1&2 for the NGC! Real Time monster summoning card battling awesomeness :D

We're thinking of different games with the same name. Definitely nothing dropping from the ceiling, in fact it's mostly text based.

Seconding Psi-Ops. Could never understand why that game wasn't a big hit.

Also, Hacker for the Commodore 64. Now, there was an immersive game story.

Tomba! [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomba!] 1 and 2. I don't know how obscure these games were elsewhere, but I know that they were basically unheard of around here when they came out (and still are today).
WINNER! Tomba was a great game. I recently found out what the name was after having images of a pink haired guy fighting pigs in my head for years.

UNIRACERS! (SNES)

I know it's not appropriate in this thread, but this is my favorite game of all time. I spent way too many hours of my life finding the fastest lines on a track and the best stunt combinations. Roll Twist FTW!

As for mine, Omega Boost (1999, it's close enough), Kengo (think Bushido Blade with a near limitless moveset), Shadow of the Colossus (maybe not unknown, but not well known enough), and Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure (see SotC).

SotC is pretty well known (just not with FPS whores)

as for Whack and Sticky, yeah that one needs to be known more, but it was rated one of the 2 games to get for the wii that aren't nintendo (the other being No More Heroes)

...I still wish more people knew about monster lab

just think Pokemon + Custom Robo + Mortal Kombat

Indigo Prophecy. More of a movie than a game, and was made by the guys who brought us last years Heavy Rain.
Good sir and or madame, I have played and I own Indigo Prophecy, but I get where you are coming from on the "Unheard" scale.

If I am going to go into obscura gaming here, My goodness, has anyone played Harley's Humongous Adventure on SNES?

It's an atypical platformer, but with an imagination unlike any other. If you wanted Honey, I shrunk The Kids to have been a video game, you really had this, and it was badass.

But very difficult. I still can't beat it.

Vampire: The Masquerade ? Bloodlines

buggy as hell (Activision forced Troika to release it way to early), but there are good fan-mods for it.
Best RPG there is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vampire:_The_Masquerade_%E2%80%93_Bloodlines
