Evolution Worlds actually compresses only the essentials of the first game and has the uncut second game in contact.Jazoni89 said:I have Evolution: the world of sacred device on Dreamcast which is like one part of Evolution worlds.LegendaryGamer0 said:Evolution Worlds.
Good luck finding a copy though, I'm lucky to still have mine.
Fun game, gives me one of my favorite female video game characters and two of my favorite video game characters period.
Pretty good, but I haven't had the chance to really play it that much though (as i recently just got it when i was hunting for dreamcast games).
Im guessing that one of those characters you are referring to is Linear.

Because I really like her as well. :3
(on another note, i would love to have a copy of Evolution worlds if only for the second part and the VA's).
Did you ever try Shadow of the Horned Rat? Came out a few years before Dark Omen and was very similar, but dear god it was fucking hard. Dark Omen was pretty tough as well, in fact I always used the infinite money cheat when playing it otherwise my unit sizes got smaller and smaller until battles became unwinnable.Jazoni89 said:OMFG! For something more contemporary I'd go with Sacrifice [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacrifice_%28video_game%29] or Warhammer: Dark Omen [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Omen], which are probably pretty unknown these days to any apart from strategy fans.
Dark Omen was a particular favourite, wasted many hours playing that to get all the items and upgrades.
Unfortunely no, the only other Warhammer game I played aside from Dark omen was Dawn of war, but it does sound good, i might check it out.Casimir_Effect said:Did you ever try Shadow of the Horned Rat? And the first playthrough of the game was impossible. If you lose the GrudgeBearers or the Red Wizard early on (and there's a good chance you will, thinking nothing of it at the time) then you're pretty much screwed. The wizard was awesome though. Nothing like teleporting around the battlefield casting Conflagoration of Doom on people.
So many great moments: that giant battle against the orcs where you relieve a siege, or being freaked out by the weird shit in Mousillon. If only the game still worked on modern OS and hardware. I tried it on XP once and got nothing but a black screen and crashing.
I'll warn you again that it's very hard, very obtuse, and probably near impossible to get running on a modern OS.Jazoni89 said:Unfortunely no, the only other Warhammer game I played aside from Dark omen was Dawn of war, but it does sound good, i might check it out.Casimir_Effect said:Did you ever try Shadow of the Horned Rat? I can't for the life of me finish Tomba 2. Not because it is bad, its because I have NO IDEA what to do next and I'm near the end of the game.acidtechnologic said:haha i was definitely going to mention Tomba. I absolutely loved the first one, but never got a chance to play the second. And since we're talking about playstation 1 games, i was the only kid in my neighborhood who owned monster rancher 2.Zeromaxx said:Tomba! [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomba!] 1 and 2. I don't know how obscure these games were elsewhere, but I know that they were basically unheard of around here when they came out (and still are today).
My bad, I intended to quote the guy who mentioned the suffering! Poor aim on my part.migo said:We're thinking of different games with the same name. Definitely nothing dropping from the ceiling, in fact it's mostly text based.Wahful said:God i remember this, i hated the "upper-half of a human body" things that would fall from the ceiling hung by there necks! Scared the shit out of me every time!migo said:I'll have to revisit this thread after I finish Sharin No Kuni, after which I'll know if it counts as one of my favourite games.
My own Choice - Lost Kingdoms 1&2 for the NGC! Real Time monster summoning card battling awesomeness![]()
I second Second Sight (c wut i did der?)BreakfastMan said:Does Second Sight count? It is pretty unheard of, I think. It is by the same team that made Time Splitters, except it is a Metal Gear Solid-esque stealth game, with one of the most surprising twists I have yet to find in a game.
I know. Thank god for karen travis. She did that series justice in the books and stood true to the storyline of the game. But she started a new series, Imperial commando, wrote one book, the left to write Gears 2 books for Epic.JIst00 said:Republic Commando was/is awesome! Was well gutted when I completed it, and yes it doesn need a sequel.nart_21086 said:Literally no one I've ever known has heard of this game.rangerman351 said:Republic commando for the original xbox. God I love that game. Whenever I mention it though,I sware that I can sense the ocean of "what" about to appear. I know alot of you guys haveplayed it, but in my perspective there ya go.
For a gritty FPS it really had me invested.
I shall spend the rest of my existence waiting for the very necessary sequel.
EXTRA:
This game taught us that "Blast" was a curse word.
I cant believe that no one's heard of it though, thats crazy.
I died a little on the inside when that happened then I was just mad in general about everything.the Revenator said:I loved that game!
