Favourite video game alien/fantasy race

hmmm...a three-way split for me between elves/eldar in W40K (my interest in elves varies by the mythology however.)and the Asari from mass effect and the Protoss from starcraft

I can't remember specifically where, but in some game I remember a race of beings made of pure shadow that could manipulate it...
Also, I'll go with Ewoks because of their fuzzy fury.

The Shu'halo / Tauren, everybody's favorite WoW cow-people.

Any that are those alien bug-mutant races in sci-fi. Like the Zerg or Tyranids. They just seem cool to me...

Those ones and the flood, Hence why my picture has always been an infected creature from one of these three races. I just love them. Makes me wish that the flood were a playable race in halo wars so i can 'zerg' rush the opponents... with the flood. (has to work right?)

Tyranids. These things eat ENTIRE PLANETS! Oh, and they almost slaughtered the Ultramarines, which gives them automatic points.

Hunters from Halo are pretty cool. I like them the most out of all the aliens in Halo.

I also like the Orks from Warhammer 40k for obvious reasons. Plague Marines are cool to, but I don't think they've actually been in a Warhammer 40k video game, so I'm not sure if they count.

Eldar. They're awesome. Nuff said.

Vortigaunts. They're like an entire race of Obi-Wan Kenobis, but better. They act very cryptic and wise, their behavior can be hilarious, they're wonderfully ugly and they have badass lightning magic! What's not to like?
Secondly, 40k's Kroot are also awesome with their genetic mutation and wooden guns.

Can we only say ones from video games? If not, The Race from the Worldwar series by Harry Turtledove and if so, I'm, gonna have to go with either the Zerg, or the vortaguants from Half-life.

Half-elves from absolutely any "Tales" Game. People hate them, but they're always the coolest because they can use magic.

The Gerudo from Zelda. They were always fun to fight.

Hmmm... I'm leaning towards the Turians, personally. They have a really cool look to them, and they are generally badass. Also, Garrus was one of my favorite characters from Mass Effect.

*EDIT* Oh, and I'm NOT going to forget the Dark Eldar. "WHERE'S MY QUARRY?! I LONG FOR THE HUNT!"

Eldar is my fave WH40k race no doubt about that, I used them for tabletop.

Haha, that made my day right there.

For me, it's probably the Turians for being badass or Moogles for being adorable.

Edit: not a species per se but Touhou girls are way more badass than the Turians. An average one can probably level a city by herself.
