''Oh noes, we are feeding them proteins so they can grow up into working adults, ITS CHILD ABUSE!''

Humans are (what is the name for both plant, and meat eaters?) and the proteins from meat, is invaluable, for functioning kids.

OK, that was brilliant. Also, that picture was clearly manipulated in Photoshop. Secondly, hasn't PETA ever heard of a balanced diet? Sheesh.

Welp, it's their opinion. But remember, PETA are a group with an agenda - the complete "emancipation" of all animals. It doesn't matter if Meat is good or bad, they are duty bound to condemn it.

Yes, excessive Red Meat intake does raise the risk of Cancer and Diabetes (type II) and obesity. I would also point out that eating too many french-fries (which are made with Potatoes), can also do the same. Eat too much of ANYTHING and it can cause obesity (fruit included!).

If you eat meat responsibly, as I do, you won't be overweight. I'm certainly not! I'm 5'7 and I weigh 64 kg, which is exactly what I should weigh according to the doctors. I have eaten meat my entire life - mostly lean meat, and mostly "white" meat like Chicken and Fish, but I do eat pork occasionally. I have also drunk milk my entire life. And I'm not obese or suffering from any diseases (that I'm aware of).

PETA are liars. They know this much themselves. Once again, their agenda isn't to tell the truth. Meat isn't perfectly healthy, but EVEN IF IT WAS, PETA would STILL say it was unhealthy, because they have an agenda to push above all else. They are opposed to meat eating and animal-product intake on a philosophical level and believe me they are willing to lie through their teeth in order to scare people. I don't trust a damn thing PETA say because they've lied in the past, and they'll lie in the future.

For example, PETA and many other Vegan societies keep on insisting that Milk is bad for kids. Thousands of years of human civilization, eating habits and decades of scientific research prove otherwise - that Milk, taken in moderation like anything else, is perfectly healthy and safe. People have been drinking milk since the time where we learned to domesticate animals - if it truly was "so evil" then we wouldn't have drunk it for THOUSANDS OF YEARS! Milk is nutritious, contains needed calcium and is great for infants.

But PETA hate Milk on PRINCIPLE. Hell, even if Milk extended the human life span by 100 years and gave people the ability to fly, PETA would still say "No, it's evil!". And the thing is, this propaganda does damage. In Asia, PETA propaganda and lies have turned large segments of the Asian Population against milk, claiming that it'll make your kids fat like US kids! Some asian relatives of mine have taken their kids off milk (their kids are 1 and 2 years old) because PETA have told them that their kids will turn into fat little white kids if they drink too much milk! No, I'm not joking. Not only is that propaganda racist against Whites and Asians, it hurts kids who need to put on as much Bone Mass Density as possible in order to decrease the likelihood of osteoporosis.

PETA care only about one thing - the elevation of animals to the same level as humans. Hell, they'd give animals the vote if they could. In Australia, they recently came out against the swatting of flies. Again, I'm not joking. That's right - they are against the killing of flies now. They are one step away from the lunatic brigade. What's next I wonder - opposing Mosquito clearing techniques in Africa because "Mossies have rights!". PETA claim they want "equailty", but I just seem them as a bunch of animal worshippers who think Bambi, with it's talking deer, was a documentary.
Funny thing about the milk:you're naturally supposed to get lactose intolerant as you get older. It's just that some groups of humans have this mutation that prevents us from growing lactose intolerant. But I suppose that since we've obviously utilized this mutation adapted to drinking milk tot he point of becoming dependent on it, it is good for us.

Related fact: This mutation is most common in whites. In fact, at some point the Chinese referred to whites as 'milk people' because they could smell it on us.
Hey mate slightly off topic but are you being serious about the lactose intolerance as you get older, i mean i am white but i've been finding milk has often made me feel ill?

FUCK OFF! I'm a vegan and that's still fucking stupid. My God, Peta, what the fuck is wrong with you?

First off: For every animal that you don't eat, I'll eat three!

Second a fun lesson in history. I know most of you are like me and never had fun and history at the same time, but this is something that you'll laugh your ass off to. Hitler was a hippie. He was a vegetarian and showed films of mistreated animals to his guests to make them not eat meat. Sound familiar? He also used to live as a hippie before becoming a dictator and designed the Volkswagen Beatle (basic design was from the manufacturer, but he put in the final touches that made it look awesome).

In conclusion all hippies are neo Na'zi (mixed with Na'vi). No one should even listen to them, as most of you and I already don't.

Thanks for the info. Reminds me of Hipster Hitler.

They fail to realise/ignore the facts that it isn't just meat that's making our kids fat; its fatty chips, crisps, pizza, chocolate, sugary sweets and so forth; meat is a small part of the problem. Idiot vegetarians extremists/animal rights activists, they give the rest a bad name.
Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with vegetarians and I am against fox hunting with dogs and such, but these people seem to me to be a lot crackpots who are pushing their beliefs on others to make themselves feel better. Sorry, I'm human and therefore an omnivore; I like my meat and it isn't going anywhere. Maybe animals do suffer before they're slaughtered for meat, but in nature, do the animals kindly euthanise one another before they eat them? Orca most certainly don't, especially when they spend hours drowning whale calves. Komodo dragons sometimes bite their prey and leave them to die of infection which can take days, during which the prey animal will be in agony. Besides, what about the plants and veg? What about their feelings? :p

'Feeding kids meat is child abuse'? Then technically so is;
Making them walk to school; you must be a good parent and drive them because they deserve to get to school full of energy to learn! Who cares about the environment!?
Sending them to school; they'll be brainwashed by the government!
Allowing them to watch TV or play video games; they might stunt their creativity!
Let them play outside; they might hurt themselves!
Let them talk to anyone; they might be a pedophile! *gasp*

I could go on, but I feel I've made my point; they're arguments are baseless and therefore they should be ignored.

Oh, look at that. Another anti-meat campaign. What a shame. I guess that means the rest of us proper omnivores will get more protein in our diets, huh? *Urrrp...!*

PETA trivializing and mocking serious issues in a pitiful attempt to curry attention is, sadly, nothing new.

As per this

[link]http://www.jewishjournal.com/community_briefs/article/briefs_20050603/[/link]

Why they think this makes people want to eat less meat rather than, say, savagely beat PETA members is anyone's guess.

(I'm joking; please don't savagely beat PETA members.)

(Thoughtful, precision beatings will be far more effective.)

(Kidding!)

If they can link eating meat to obesity then they can make an argument. The last time I checked though eating meat isn't the the deciding factor in become overweight. I eat hamburgers regularly and yet I'm thin so obviously there are some other factors here.

I wonder if its ever occured to PETA that if WE dont kill them and eat them, something ELSE will kill them and eat them, quite mercilessly at that.

Thats how this shit works, survival of the fittest! and fat..juicy...delicious cow-meat-burger-tacos (excuse me, it would seem im drooling) aren't exactly the apex predator on land...

What do you think on the whole matter? Should it be taken down, or do you free speech should take priority here?
PETA have a very simple tactic, and it works brilliantly. Take as hardline a stance as possible and stir up righteous indignation, thereby highlighting people to your cause. Threads like this play right into their hands. Before people saw this thread, they weren't even thinking about PETA. Now they are. Therefore, PETA wins.

If you don't think it works, just ask Ark Music Factory about how much money can be made off of hatred.

Personally I think this is insulting to victims of real child abuse, by comparing their suffering to the mere act of eating meat.

Woha, that's the one of the most dumbest things I've seen. I obviously cause my child harm feeding her meat -_-

It's easy to say that not giving a child meat is cruel, but neither are, the child can be brought up healthy regardless of them being brought up as meat eaters, vegetarian or vegan.
It's all down to common sense and everything in moderation. Simples.
To be honest, I think PETA know this. It's just a controversial thing to gain attention.

im actully insulted as a guy who twists words and facts (for a laugh with mates soo much fun =D) it doesnt even make any good logic what so ever

this is how you twist facts

FACT: peta member are vegetarians

FACT: vegetarians do not eat meat(such as cows some still eat fish tho =/) and eat plants instead

FACT: cows and other animals produce methane gas which is a green house gas that causes global warming

FACT: plants reduce the effects of global warming (absorbing CO2)

and thus peta are responsible for global warming and climate change
thanks peta /sarcasm

now that makes much more logical sense than peta
