PETA really has a problem with ultimatums and absolutes.
Never really looking into solutions to problems, just looking to get themselves attention and to make more people become vegetarian through peer pressure and other juvenile tactics as well. Plus, children don't have the ability to choose what to eat for the most part and they NEED a lot of vital elements in their diet- especially things like adequate levels of protein and fat, within limits (which is, you know, your job as a parent to regulate)
You're being a horrible parent if you raise a child as a vegetarian- you simply cannot replace vital levels of protein, vital other amino acids not to mention Vitamin B12 with things like soy protein and wholly vegetable-derived products. Let your children become veg when they're young adults or when they're old enough to make that decision for themselves. Until then, it's your job to feed them a proper diet.
