PETA really has a problem with ultimatums and absolutes.

Never really looking into solutions to problems, just looking to get themselves attention and to make more people become vegetarian through peer pressure and other juvenile tactics as well. Plus, children don't have the ability to choose what to eat for the most part and they NEED a lot of vital elements in their diet- especially things like adequate levels of protein and fat, within limits (which is, you know, your job as a parent to regulate)

You're being a horrible parent if you raise a child as a vegetarian- you simply cannot replace vital levels of protein, vital other amino acids not to mention Vitamin B12 with things like soy protein and wholly vegetable-derived products. Let your children become veg when they're young adults or when they're old enough to make that decision for themselves. Until then, it's your job to feed them a proper diet.

That has got to be the shittiest Photoshopped kid I have ever seen. Seriously, what the hell is up with the guys cheeks? His upper lip cuts off on the left, there's a strange green tint to it, if you look closely his right (on our left) eye looks like a pokeball or something, his head is like the shape of an eggplant or something, and I swear that font is Comic Sans.

Oh, and the message is bullshit to.

Dear PETA, this is what happens when you don't feed children meat.

Seriously are these guys brain dead or what?

...now i have a Weapon to Stop Vegans...Thank you

Time to show this to all my "Friends" who turned Vegan
I think that was an example of bad parenting and not just them being vegan... The media totally spun that out of proportion, no child can live on breastmilk alone.

That kid didn't die because it's parents were vegan, it was because they weren't very good vegans.
sorry i have been having Vegan Rage...ever since one of them Threw a Rock at my Window and Begging me to not eat meat...
See? Bad vegan.

Wow, PETA is wrong on this one.
Are they ever actually right, or even on the lighter side of the grey area but actually right?

I'm used to them spouting ignorance like its a desperately needed commodity.

As somebody who does not eat meat, even I think PETA are a bunch of idiots, mostly for their advertisements that portray sexism and incorrect information.

However, I do think that a parent who feeds their children meat are no more of a child abuser than somebody who doesn't. All the nutrition that you get from meat can also be obtained through other foods, and with the right dieting and nutritional planning, being vegetarian or vegan can be very beneficial for your health. I certainly do not look down upon anybody who eats meat, as it is their choice.

However, I am apalled at some of the comments in this thread. I plan on becoming vegan very soon, and I have several friends who are vegan (including my girlfriend). To suggest that somebody who has chosen an alternative lifestyle is stupid for it (or making any sort of "derp" comment) is both ignorant and insensitive.

Some people don't want to eat meat, and they want to raise their children that way. Fucking deal with it.
We are. By making fun of those people.

I believe South Park summed up in one single episode all that ever needs to be said about PETA.

I feel like I have to link this video of South Park:

Also, no I don't have vegetarians or anything like that, I just find that South Park funny and felt like sharing.

This is going to sound really weird: that might be the most truthful ad PETA has ever released.
Don't get me wrong, they're still hypocritical imbeciles, but obesity and availability of fast food are strongly correlated (same as obesity and soda, obesity and candies, obesity and sugar coated cereals, etc). If you can claim that allowing a child to become obese is an act of child abuse, which isn't too far fetched to be honest, then consequently you can claim that feeding said child fast food/sodas/sweet stuff/whatever is an act of child abuse. 'course, excluding all other factors with the exception of the one that fits your cause is still tremendously retarded, but not quite as stupid as trying to rename...some aquatic vermin to "sea kittens."

Blargh, PETA gives us vegetarians a bad name. They're about as annoying as the degenerates who claim meat is necessary...

Huh, where is the meat in that billboard ad? Does eating a sesame seed bun automatically imply you have some sort of meat in there or something? I can't see any image of meat in that bun PETA, all I see is lettuce poking out.

Well, that's a shame. I guess all those carnivorous endangered species PETA advocates are terrible, evil child abusers.

*sniff sniff*

What's that I smell? Could it be...hypocrisy?

...because then Fox news would be banned...oh wait...thats a good thing
Eh. Politics and dietary preferences live on two different strata. Plus, political fiction sells big, right?

These loons at it again? Well, while I disagree with what they say, I'll defend to the death their right to say it. On that note, here's this:http://haphappy.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/novegan-600x496.jpg
(a link was the best I could do)

P.S.: I'm eating pork as I type this.

Fucking brilliant, a concept (perhaps not a new one, exactly) that gets scarier the more you think about it.
