For every one of their members we should eat 3 times more meat (veggies increase your milk, butter and egg intake), that way them having more members is increasing meat consumption. Them just being there would be making them bad people in their eyes.

Son now Peta say they care about the children when yelling "meat is murder"...
Personally Petas ethical standpoint seems more like a religious doctrine to me. It dosen't base itself much on reason or debate the problems with how ambigous the ethical question of speciesism is.

PS: When on the topic, if there where another sapient animal on earth and we decided to treat it different than humans. Would that be racism or speciesism?

I saw a hippi family of late 20 somethings in a restaurant about 2 weeks ago who were vegetarians.

The place is known for making custom burgers that are so big they cut them in 4. They got their kid a veggi platter while they both had light salads. I'm not one to say how to raise a child but regardless of your preferences I think kids should eat meat until they make it their own decision not to.

Interesting point of view, I would have appreciated it if my parents hadn't given me meat when I was younger before I realised just how morally wrong it is.
Eating meat isn't morally anything.

Some farming practices may be abhorrent to you and that is fair enough, but the actual act of eating meat is no better or worse than eating anything else.

except maybe if it is human flesh.

ot, peta are tards. meat is delicious, raise your own.

This is less a case of freedom of speech and more a case of false advertising. What this advert really needs as a clearly visible disclaimer, stating that claim is based solely on militant moon-bat logic and any science on the subject clearly contradicts the claim. Then it would be fine, just fine.

This has made me so mad that I need to abuse something. Who wants a Big Mac? with bacon? and a side of nuggets.

Somebody call the cops...I gave my roommate's niece a couple of my chicken nuggets earlier. I'm a child abuser!

I have an overwhelming urge to go barbecue meat at the nearist PETA office.
See, that's what I'd love to do, just organize a BBQ cookoff on a street outside their offices. Get the permits and everything, name it a street festival or whatever. And just to add insult to injury, keep one grill clean and clear with a box of veggie burgers and veggie dogs so if they want to join in they can cook there.

I am an individual of extreme logic so what does meat have it that is important to the development of the species homosapien from birth to adolescence and can an omnivore's digestion handle the amount plants needed to sustain its life healthily.

PETA kills more animals than most kennels and pet establishments, you know.
really? I thought they loved their animals :s
http://www.newsweek.com/2008/04/27/peta-and-euthanasia.html

[tt]The organization has practiced euthanasia for years. Since 1998 PETA has killed more than 17,000 animals, nearly 85 percent of all those it has rescued.[/tt]
Well I just learned something...didnt see that coming...
As did I, it's quite interesting that I've never come across this before.

PETA: confirmed idiots. They fail to understand the concept of "ecosystems" in which there must be "predators." Did you know in parts of America, deer are overpopulating and human hunting is actually good for the ecosystem on that count?

Anyway, I'd say things about having a barbecue in front of the PETA office, but they're not worth my time. All I say is EAT EAT EAT THERE'S A REASON IT RHYMES WITH MEAT!

Even if their primary motive isn't fighting obesity, they're aren't entirely wrong.
And why is it that whenever the topic of eating meat comes up, suddenly being concerned about animals is a bad thing?

meat has proteins in it that you cant get from other sources. PETA is just a extremist group, who believe animals have more rights then humans. If i had the choice to save either a human or an animal, id always pick the person.
