Er not sure about this one, I can see how it could be seen that way, but at the end of the day it's ONLY your avatar. I'm not familiar with the PS3's Home but this kind of thing usually can't be combated in games. It's equivalent to someone 'tea-bagging' a corpse in a first person shooter.

It's sexual harassment not sexual assault, but it's still only in a pretend environment so it's just not something I'm able to take seriously.

I see this happeing alot on HOME. In fact I made a female avatar just to see what everyone would do. And well beside's haveing a little more messages than usual I would run into the random idiot that would send a random sexual message or follow me around.

Home...gotta love it.

I'm going to have to agree with her that it's damn annoying when somebody does something like that, but it just seems some people are constantly looking for excuses to complain about things.
Agreed

This is why I don't use Home.

In fact I never bothered learning how it worked. I managed to get the avatar to walk around some shitty motel for a minute, than said "bother this nonsense" and left to play Armored Core 4.

EDIT: Oh, I mean I don't use home because people are retards who take the interwebz cereally.

For God's sake. That's nothing. I had two spam contacts randomly add me and ask me for my dick size. Know what I did? I ignored the questions and asked them how school was going. They seemed to get bored and left.

Talk with the idiots. It's amusing.

I...don't understand this. This is sexual assault? Really? It's just some guy being stupid. Nothing happened to her in real life. She wasn't violated, harmed, or anything.

It's like others have said. This is the same as saying that you were murdered while playing some online multi-player game.
Really, people? >.> This is the dumbest thing I've heard in a while.

This is good for fanboys. "You could tea bag on the xbox first" :D

But this is just silly. You dont file murder charges when your killed in a game, so why file sexual harasment charges for your game avatar.
Can you imagine the 999 call after a MW2 match?

Well, I CAN understand how annoying this is. I mean, anyone who's played online on any game has run into a huge amount of assholes. But really, sexual assault? Going to the press? Thats too far.
Maybe try to contact Sony and work with them to solve the problem, (and yes I know the chances of Sony actually listening are slim) but no one should be surprised. Besides, this doesn't seem as bad as some little 12 year old calling you every name in the book. Where the hell do they learn how to swear? I don't even know some of the words they call me!

So if this is considered sexual harassment, does that mean if I start killing people in games, I'm a murderer? What if I steal their stuff?

This is just like when kids get all upset when people insult them on social networks and forums. People flame them. They get pissed off. In some cases, we hear about their suicide in the evening news. People just need to grow up and deal with some of this shit rather than freak out all the time.

yes, anyone who follows you around in any virtual world should have their arms cut off and then be beaten with their arms.

The guy who was doing that is a jerk, and it'd be nice if there was the equivalent of an ignore button, but equating behavior like this to sexual assault is absurd and kind of insulting to people who have actually been victimized. The "roommate" (Yeah, right. You're a dude with a female avatar. It's okay, man) is correct in his assertion that allowing this to continue makes it a less female-friendly environment.

Unfortunately, the argument that Sony is losing money by allowing behavior that discourages females from using Home falls flat. Sony won't lose money because Home is hostile to females. They'll lose money on Home because Home is really stupid.
lol this is all so true.
