I get "wammo'd" (male warrior dance involves a pelvic thrust) all the time in Guild Wars. While it's annoying and childish I would not classify it as sexual assault.

Anyone who thinks a fictional character in a video game touching their fictional character = sexual assault, is an idiot. This is a slap in the face to the real victims of sexual assault. It's a despicable act when someone sexually assaults another human being in the real world, but pixels touching? Grow up!
If such a silly and trivial act really is sexual assault, imagine all the murders, homicides, and manslaughter acts which are carried out in games. Simply accidentally hitting someone in a racing game? Shucks, better pause the game and swap insurance details. Don't drive off to win the race, that's a hit and run.

...seriously? Having your pixels crouch behind someone's pixels is sexual assault?
I'd hate to see this woman if the avatars decided to have clipping issues!

How many people get this upset when people say things "I can't believe that guy just killed me in Halo." OF COURSE HE DIDN'T KILL YOU! IT'S ONLY A GAME! YOU'RE DISGRACING MURDER VICTIMS EVERYWHERE!

To those people who are likening this to being T-bagged in Halo or CS, you are missing the point. In Halo, your Avatar isn't a projection of yourself. This Avatar in Home likely was modeled based on the user, not a generic armor clad, helmet wearer. The second thing is likely that the user isn't an avid online gamer, and isn't used to some of the activities many long term users are simply accustomed to.

I'm not saying it isn't an over-reaction, in my eyes it is. In most MMOs or online games there is a way to report being harassed. Not being a user of HOME, I have no idea if you can do this, though likely you can, and she should have.

Stop Overreacting! Using this logic, I have been horribly violated by necrophiliacs hundreds of times playing really any shooter I have.

If it happens in real life, then it starts mattering. Home you can just leave. Stop whining. All it is is some douche trying to be funny.

Seriously? Are we to be accused of not separating from our avatars because we use "I?" I'm not as stupid as this lady and I refer to my avatar as "I." Psychologists are crap.

No, she's right! Action should be taken against everyone who's ever teabagged someone in a game. Action that involves time in Guantanamo Bay and making friends with Big Bob.

What did she expect? She's a girl, obviously a rare thing to the wild male nerd. The wild male nerd will see boobies, albiet game boobies, and will continue to follow said girl around.
Most likely, the wild male nerd is a virgin who tries the same stunts to women in the grocery store and fails.

...
But seriously. I have my super hero, VanityGirl as my XBL name, and I catch shit all the time. I don't report it, I just laugh or ignore it.

Cause hey, at least I get laid.

Sexual assault is a very serious term to throw around, and this person is an absolute clown for using it. It's the sort of thing that can devestate lives, and I'm a little annoyed some fool has belittled the seriousness of it by using it in this context. The guy's an idiot.

Sexual assault? No, that would need some sort of physical contact.

I suppose it could be viewed as sexual harassment though.
