1)Yeah, and? I found the article amusing.
2)No, i don't, read some of my other posts in this thread.
3)...Problem?
Didn't notice the reverse sexism thread.xXxJessicaxXx said:The only reason I said it was becuase lately there has been many threads saying that sexism has turned in the favour of women. They are full of people who agree with the OP 100%...Rawne1980 said:Space saving snip
The fact that you all think this is hilarious after those threads end up being 10 pages long is slightly odd to me.
But I guess you all don't really think its true... You can't compain about men being treated as the clowns in commercials and suchlike if something like this, which is actually derogatry to men, is laughed off. I kind of find the fact that the boyfriend doesn't even have a name slightly horrific and I'm a woman.
You mean the game that teaches you that the path to a happy and fulfilled life is owning more and more expensive possessions?2xDouble said:Great...
Thankfully, most women I know would rather play The Sims.

I see it as a game for young Paris Hilton fans that simply don't know better,
and I can imagine trophy wives buying it for their daughters,
but intelligent beings should do all they can to talk them out of it...
what are you, an alpha male?
I didn't call him sexist, I just asked a question in return to his phrasingPhiMed said:Disliking a term doesn't make a phenomenon disappear from society.M-E-D The Poet said:"Trophy wives"Gulleko said:I'm laughing and being horrified at the same time. It is hilarious in its stupidity,

From time to time, unintelligent, uneducated, young, highly physically attractive women sometimes still marry rich older men. They then sometimes adopt a sense of entitlement, as if their husband's accomplishments are their own. Someone could go through all the description I just did, or they could just use the appropriate term... "trophy wife". If they choose option B, that makes them succinct, not sexist.

Although I imagine this "game" is going to be ignored by its target audience and tried by everyone else just for laughs.
Yes. I find it highly offensive. But since the game is already so sexist to women.... it's just generally a sexist stereotypical game that treats everyone like idiots.xXxJessicaxXx said:*Snippe*
Oh wow. I don't even know what to say... Actually having a boyfriend is not that much of a proof that you are independent, now is it? Quite opposite.what it is that makes a true, strong, independent lady: shopping, hairstyles, and having a boyfriend.
- Change my hairstyle, getting two "cool" pigtails in black.
- Buy at least one thing I like from a store in the mall.
- Rent my own apartment.
I'm well on my way to being good enough!
"You don't have a boyfriend at the moment! Visit the Club and go flirting, you might meet someone hot."
Shit, I'm incomplete on so many levels! No boyfriend?! So it's straight to the enigmatically named Club.

Why in the world do people still make games like this?
What are your responses?
What possible effect to you think this game could have?
2) Dont care since I am not twelve and its not targeted at me.
3) None. It is just another game in a sea of very similar ones that have been coming out for years and years. I can remember seeing things like this ten years ago so its not going to suddenly change things now.
If she liked dress up I would give her the sims 3 where she can be anything from a doctor to a hairdresser. Not a 'cookiegirl' whatever the hell that is.
I'm shocked more of you male escapists aren't completely offended by the boyfriend part tbh.
I object to them including Julia Louis-Dreyfus on the right side. She was independent and employed in Seinfeld. If anything, she was just one of the guys.Boris Goodenough said:This whole thing makes me think of![]()
Yeah, what on earth were they thinking putting an evil being with supernatural powers into such a girly setting?Pinkamena said:This can't be serious. What were the developers smoking when they decided to add a witch into this game?!
The evil witch has been hiding the Ghost city for centuries and no one has succeeded in breaking the spell yet. With every passing year, and with each of the thousands of unsuccessful attempts to break the spell, the witch becomes stronger and is now more powerful than before.
