Those reviews are surprisingly good.

I still really don't want to buy it though.
Given the campaign is still only 5 hours long? Pitiful.
'The fuck you been looking at mate?

All across the board, people have said it's much longer than ODST. Most of em saying it's 8-10 hours long, which is average nowadays.

I know I'll be replaying the campaign over and over by myself, plus co-op campaign adds so many more replays.

And then there's all the multi-player.

And forge world.

DAMNIT I WANT IT NOW!!!
And firefight.
And verses firefight.
And jetpacks.

I'm staying away from it. On a side note, how many people want to join my anti-halo clubhouse?

They play on easy, to finish the game faster. Play on heroic, and it will be more like 10 hours.

Going to have to pass on Reach. It does look like the best Halo game yet, but I'm not into Halo so... there you have it.

Im going to the midnight release and collecting my legendary edition, once its unboxed and I've quit drooling over the statue. Im gonna do a quick run through of the campaign so my asshole friend can't spoil it for me. Then Im going doing a solo run in firefight and getting some easy achievments.

I pre-ordered from Newegg since it was $10 cheaper and provided free 3 day shipping. I should have it by Thursday at the latest.

I got two classes on Tuesday...I might go to my Math 243 but skip my Ethnic Politics class.

I might go to both.

I'm getting it in the morning then taking it into college, I'd rather not skip college just to play a game so I guess I'll be lugging the big legendary box around all day.

Not going at midnight thanks to school.
But from the looks of it, multiplayer is godly and the campaign isn't as good as HAlo 3
I'm psyched.

I unfortunately will not be able to head for the midnight launch tomorrow night. I'm broke until wednesday BUUUUUUUUT I managed to reserve the 'legendreh' edition before they ran out of orders at my local store.

Even though there may be a good number of 'halotards' at the event, the MW2 launch night led me to believe that the people who attend these things are a decent lot.

You know, not counting the little kiddies who are having the parents basically be their middle man for getting the game though. :p

Games Radar made an interesting point, that it feels more like a sequel to ODST than Halo 4, which is a little dissapointing to hear but as we know, the sensible thing is not to listen to critics and decide for ourselves.
I haven't read the review; though I have read reactions to it and heard comments from people who have already played the game. Apparently it's pretty much bullshit; especially as the "review" completely misses out Firefight [or so they said] and since ODST was an "add-on" to Halo 3, they should have said the game feels like a sequel to Halo 3, which, from the beta is, again, bullshit. Having said that it does seem like ODST was used to test some features for Reach so who knows? On a side-note; I haven't heard good things about the flying section(s?)...

Regardless I've pre-ordered the game, and will be pulling an all-nighter in an attempt to finish the campaign on legendary as soon as possible - might as well get it out the way; I don't play Halo for the campaign usually...

I'm not sure why people buy into the Mega Hype anymore, Halo has been re-m,aking it's self since Halo 3. Halo 3 felt a lot like "Halo 2 HD" for me. ODST was the same, it felt like Halo 3 part 2. I know they called it "An expansion" but they priced it has a whole new AAA title and it really only had a 5 hour campaign and halo 3's multiplayer with some neat tweaks, not a whole lot for your £40 - £45.

Halo Reach looks like a good game but that's about it. A good game. Another Haloish Halo game being Halo.
Question...

Did you play the Beta? their have been many changes to the game, not just the looks.

I don't really care for Halo any more, the first two were fun but it got boring by the third.

I dunno... I MIGHT go out and get it, once it gets a little cheaper. Or maybe I'll get it for Christmas, who knows?

Wait....WHY? IT HASN'T COME OUT YET! And what is wrong with a sequel to ODST, it was better then halo 1 and 2.

I really just don't like the Halo games. Never have enjoyed playing them, and this one looks no different. I may have to try Forgeworld though.
As an unbiased not-too-regular Halo player (I think I had something like 10 hours on the Halo 3 multi) who was never that into the series, I can tell you that Reach is faster, more visceral and more fun than any of the others.
Eh, I couldn't be arsed to play it for even 2 hours. I never got into it. The only fun I found was dicking around with the Forge mode with mates, not trying to do anything specific. Hence my attraction to Forgeworld.
