For me it was Carmageddon 2 When i was 8. Good times, Even though it was a demo.
Exactly the same as me. I remember going into the football stadium and running over all the players, definitely good times.

After that I played Mortal Kombat on a arcade machine in a Fish n Chip store and I remember knocking Raiden into the spikes below.

i was one of those kids with the whole "no M for mature games!" rule. The bloodiest game i had played b4 and when i was 11, was age of empires 3, and that was at other peoples houses. :p So on my 12th birthday, when my friend gave me his old copy of HaloCE it was quite the big deal. (found HaloCE custom edition too, which is still one of my favorit games, though no-one plays it anymore)

I think my very first violent video game was Halo: Combat Evolved. Now, don't immediately post me as a Halo nerd, but the Xbox was the first console that I ever owned, and I have come to enjoy playing both the classics and the new entries for the Xbox roster. Halo was something new that I had only ever experienced in movies before then, and it introduced me to the whole shooter genre. Although I hold true to my heart that the other two were a little bit of a let-down, the first was my gateway game that really pulled me into a more violent genre, and pretty much got me hooked on video games as a whole.

Mortal Combat(don't remember which one) I guess...in my early teens

I played Doom first but I don't consider it to be on the same level as Mortal Combat.
Doom is one of the only old games I can go back and play again though.

If you haven't tried Doom Legacy yet I recommend it.

(You need the main Doom or Doom2 wad file to play.)

Jet Force Gemini I believe. The only way that game got away with a Teen rating was because all the enemies were bipedal ants and none of the blood was red.

Does Castle Wolfenstein count? IF not then flat out over the top violence has to go to Mortal Kombat. Actually when that game first came out thats why we all played it. There was none bloodier.

Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg. PETA would be all over that game for the violence towards chicken fetuses.

Mortal Combat. I was 6 and at my moms brothers sons college. There was a big arcade game with Mortal Combat. I played a game, I lost and watched my character fall. Eventually, He was impaled by spikes with plenty of blood. Probably my first.

Mortal Kombat, however, I wasn't fond of fighting games, so Drakengard when I was... I don't know, about 12.
