Fox scares the crap out of me with the stuff they get away with. Also, I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that they get more viewers than any other news network in the states by quite a lot. It's unbelievable really.
Well really...Y-y-y-y-y-you are given the o-o-o-o-o-option to skip the c-c-c-c-c-controversial l-l-l-l-l-l-levels on the g-g-g-g-game if you find it o-o-o-offensive.
I have to say, I read this argument with growing amusement; the main reason being that Theapoc is clearly a troll (which is nicer then the alternative, which is a complete idiot). My reasoning for this?
TheApoc, although you do indeed raise several strong points to support your opinion that Fox News Network is more then a den of incompetent douche bags (I personally offer no opinion on this particular matter as this is not the point of my post and I am not trying to start a flamewar), you either fail, refuse, or pretend to see the point of this entire article.
Jim, on the other hand, who seems to have far less experience in this kind of debate, is again and again led into traps and interrupted by the host, whose bias opinion is clearly the same as Jon's.
If this entire charade isn't an attempt by fox to debase and devalue a piece of popular art through bias misinformation, then I'll eat my hat.
And this, my angry friend, is where the Fox News hate comes from, and why your own arguments (that everyone here is a moron who can't tie there own shoes because they fail to see that you are right because they are wrong because they haven't raised any good points to argue that you are wrong yada yada yada) are unfounded, simply because you missed the entire point! Instead of proving why this particular debate is NOT an example of underhanded, intentionally misinformed slander (which Fox seems to have developed quite a reputation for), you throw insults around to support your obviously circular logic.
Because your level of speech (as in you don't sound stupid) and your apparent intellect (despite your strangely childish arguments) Combined with your constant hate filled bashing of Escapists members, I deduce that you, sir, are a troll. I believe that you entered this argument with every intention of causing a ruckus, to make as many people as angry as possible. Or your a well spoken idiot. Either way, have you ever heard of /B/?

ok, fine, this is mostly true... except that the "Fair debate" was an obvious ruse. Jon, who debated that the violence was too much for kids, and who obviously has experience with this kind of debate, simply spouts the same lines over and over again, about how violent videogames are "Without a doubt" related to violence in children; the kind of stuff that anybody with half a brain knows that ultraconservative parents love to hear. I find Fox taking this line a little funny because they're the network that makes and airs 24.

why not tell the guy from CSM that the M rating on the box is there for a REASON, that there is a DISCLAIMER BEFORE THAT MISSION that flatout says that the visuals will be disturbing/offesnive and gives you to option to SKIP IT.

The problem with the world is no one ever wants to take responsibility for their own actions.
In my opinion though, the shit we see on the news is probably more likely to push someone over the edge than a fucking video game.
At least Fox News stays true to form by essentially ignoring the other side of the argument. And way to get the biggest blubbering idiot available to speak on behalf of millions of people. Millions of people who play video games and DON'T go out on murderous rampages afterwards, I might add.

He should have brought up that the story tries to bring real issues of modern warfare into the game, one of them being terrorism, and espionage.
No one banned Rambo for turning human beings into bloody hamburger meat, so why should we condemn this game?
