Gears 2 was a real slap in the face for me, i got really hooked on Gears 1, (maybe i was stupid or something) so Gears 2 really let me down overall.

Most other games i just couldn't get into enough to care, like Borderlands sure the ending was horrible but i didn't give half a shit just because i thought that game was good from just a pure gameplay standpoint.

I'm really surprised I haven't seen Shadows of the Colossus mentioned yet. I don't wanna make it my mention, though, since I think the ending is brilliant, and I was hoping to get into a debate with someone ^.^

Yeah... at the end of Myst 5 (spoiler warning) you pretty much fucked no matter what you did.
But... it kinda worked, actually...
You didn't get the REAL ending, did you?

That game only has 2 endings. And in both of them, you end up trapped on the Myst age.

Fallout 3's was kind of like that. I really liked the ending, story-wise, but it was sort of anticlimactic.
Damn ninja's.

I hated Fallout 3s ending mainly because you cant continue afterwards.
I hate Fallout 3's ending because even if you have Fawkes he wont go in for you, he says that its my destiny or some bullshit, you know what Fawkes?! **** my destiny!!

I despised Modern Warfare 2's ending. When the credits came up, I literally shouted out "Are you fucking kidding me?!?", because I wasn't expecting another Halo 2 ending. Also, are we really supposed to believe: Soap will survive that stab wound? Really? I mean he was stabbed in the stomach, I'm not sure that just closing it up would help the damaged internal organs. Actually, that whole ending sequence made almost no sense, a general of the US Army sets up his own mercenary army and runs off with them, and NOBODY notices? I mean, the first game was kinda unrealistic, but it pretended it was real, and didn't go to too ridiculous bounds. The second, felt like a damn James Bond movie, what with the snowmobiles and huge cliff jumps.

thats not the point dude, they weren't aiming for realism. The MW2 was the greatest ending ever and left it wide open for a 3rd installment
Thats crap, Call of Duty is supposed to be realistic, also how was Shepard able to survive a helicopter crash, get up, and beat the stuffing out of the 2 main characters?! Another thing, kill the bad guy while your wounded on the ground, sounds exactly like MW1 ending to me

Metal Gear Solid 4.
They really should have left Snake and Raiden, instead of contriving the world to make it a happy ending.

I always thought the MGS games always had horribly saccharine endings. To me, it was a case of "Pass the sick bucket!"

Batman: AA had the worst end boss ever.
After an amzaing game all it came down to was
joker turning around while you beat up some guys, you pull him off and hit him, he jumps up again and repeat

The Mass Effect 2 ending was designed to be epic but it failed to accomplish the feeling you get when you're actually in an epic final fight. The boss battle is by no means bad but it doesn't accomplish what, I think, was set out to accomplish.

I liked the original Fallout 3 ending [assuming you took the noble path that is] If Fallout 3 were a movie and had that ending, I'm sure many people would have appreciated it more ... Anyway

------

OT: Batman; Arkham Asylum had a cliffhanger ending and it annoyed me. Not as much as the Halo 2 ending and that just pissed me off.

Bioshocks ending felt weak after the main twist and most of the part leading up to the nding was also a little disappointing.

Especially:
The "become a Big Daddy" rubbish, not because the concept was bad, but because it didn't work. You didn't really become one, you just put on half the suit and still used your guns so presumably you cut off the arms of the suit or something.

Fallout 3's before Broken Steel was also awful as it was completely illogical

Not really. The issue was:
That you had two companions in the game who could have went into that radiation filled room to save the day (therefore there was no need to die) and yet the game forces you to do it if you want to be good.

Fawkes and the Ghoul were both immune to the radiation so there was no logical reason for why they couldn't do it. They just say it's "fate" which is bullshit considering it's an RPG based upon choices.

If those two companions didn't exist then yes, I imagine people wouldn't have minded as much (actually I would have thought it was very good).
