Gamecube hate?

I don't hate the Gamecube. I'd still have mine if I hadn't traded it in to get a Wii. I still play my Gamecube games on my Wii. It seems to play them a bit smoother than the Gamecube did too. If I ever have kids, unless someone comes out with a tougher and more reliable game console, their first game console will be a Gamecube. It had a lot of kid friendly titles and the system itself is so well made that it's about the most difficult to screw up of the disc playing consoles. The only thing I've seen that's tougher than the Gamecube is the Gameboy. That thing and its games are nearly indestructible.

My best friend's mom when I was a kid ran his NES over with an 80's station wagon. I am not joking. It still worked.

I liked my GameCube. In fact, I've still got it, and I still play some of the awesome games that came out for it.

Also, Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem was a GameCube exclusive, and that alone makes the GameCube awesome.

hello i just recently joined and happened to see this forum about game cubes. personally game cubes are okay i still got mine even thro i play it now and then (and besides the funny fact ive got a wii,dsi and that). i cant see why people could hate the cubes! they are pretty good lil cuby thingos so why does anyone hate them? i reckon the graphics on some of the games are okay- but some games are pretty crappy. only shame games like pokemon XD gale of darkness is very rare and extermly pricey at online shops like ebay and that crap.

The PS2 and Xbox hardly had any innovative games, maybe eye toy or some others, but most of PS2's stuff was "here's a gun, go shoot stuff" or "Here's a sword, go kill stuff". But gamecube had stuff like super monkey ball, f-zero, wario world, and others, and I think that many people are being put off the Wii not because of the console itself, but developers have had the brilliant idea to do FAMILY PARTY GAME AFTER F*CKING FAMILY PARTY GAME, along with such crap as "dora the explorer: the game", or, and this is the on that gets me, "Hannah Montanna: the film: the game. The wii isn't a bad console, but developers insist on cashing in on the whole party/family game franchise, and this has given the Wii a bad reputation, not to mention the crap adverts.

Gamecube gets loads of respect from people who owned them. I think the issue is the masses talk it down because it wasn't popular and sold poorly.

Mine is still set up - not that it gets too much play.

I'm pretty sure the Atari Jaguar was the worst. Did anybody have one of those and enjoyed a game that wasn't Aliens vs Predator?

Yes, it was the least powerful powerful console of its generation, but it was damn good fun with a few mates, Mario Kartouble Dash, The Mario Parties...etc.

I didnt hate the Gamecube. I hated the fact that, aside from a small group of standout titles, most of its selection of games was complete shit.

Sure, every console has its back catalogue of shit titles. But the gamecube seemed intent on reminding me that every time I went to the game shop to look for something new.

Meh I liked the Gamecube. It was my 2nd favorite console last gen next to the PS2. I mean it had the definitive edition of Twilight Princess, all of the best Sonic games, Smash Bros Melee, F-Zero GX, MGS remake, and so many more. Its games lineup beats that of Xbox and Dreamcast in my opinion.

I still have my gamecube hooked up, and regularly play the Zelda games. I can't understand the hate for it... and tbh I don't care.

It's the console that turned me into a hardcore gamer. I owned a Dreamcast, PSOne, N64, and an NES in my youth, but when I played (to my eternal shame, this is the game that made me what I am today) Animal Crossing, I knew that this is something special. Then I got serious, and bought Mario Sunshine (I don't understand the hate on this title: it's a good game), Windwaker (this one too, what the hell is there to hate?), Smash Bros., etc. etc. The console was great, and I'm bold enough to say that the Wii is too, but the GC has a very special place in my heart.

I didn't get a Gamecube until late in its run (had a PS2 like everyone else), but I was staggered by how many good games there are on it. Definitely an underrated console.

i love the game cube if your talking about bad systems the jaguar not bacause of its game but the system alone had a lot of problems.
