I don't hate the Gamecube. I'd still have mine if I hadn't traded it in to get a Wii. I still play my Gamecube games on my Wii. It seems to play them a bit smoother than the Gamecube did too. If I ever have kids, unless someone comes out with a tougher and more reliable game console, their first game console will be a Gamecube. It had a lot of kid friendly titles and the system itself is so well made that it's about the most difficult to screw up of the disc playing consoles. The only thing I've seen that's tougher than the Gamecube is the Gameboy. That thing and its games are nearly indestructible.
