It was a good show, one which I will gladly watch again. I hope that the pilot will be taken up. I think that their manner infront of the camera will get better as the show goes on and I believe that there is some real potential in this show.

I chucked once or twice but this show isn't great great for actual gaming information. I'll stick with Good Game for now.

I'll never get aussie humour, it's far too "hur hur hur look at this and boldly state what's funny about it huuuur" for my liking. It also feels a bit too boys-in-the-basement-with-mum's -camcorder, but i'll put that down to it being a pilot.
To summarize
1: No sale. i'll watch ZP, but this just seems idiotic.
2: Who the hell cares?
3: You eat candy while sitting on your arse owning noobs. there. that's ten words for you.

well, it seems like the Top Gear of the video gaming world (don't tell jeremy clarkson)
1.yeah, mainly because of the above i do like it, although it would be good with some experiments a la top gear. For some rason the idea of subjecting a Wii to several hundred rounds of machine gun fire comes to mind.
2. yeah, he is a bit more than zero puntuation would lead you to believe
3.uuuummm

So my question's are:
1: What do you think of it? Is it something that you would be interested in?
2: Did you think that Yahtzee was slightly more socially awkward than you thought?
3: What do you think candy has to do with gaming, if it has anything to do with it at all?
1. I liked it, and will probalby continue to watch it. Yahtzee is far better st talking about games than he is creating them IMO.

2. Perhaps, but then again we didn't know much about him before (in terms of acting ability) - he sounded confident during the parts that showed footage over his voice - like his Zero Punctuation reviews.

3. Candy keeps gamers playing.

I enjoyed the two 'blogs' the one about physics in games and the 'death' of the point and click adventure game.

I've never been a huge fan of game reviews because they're always so... fleeting. Now commenting on gaming trends and culture is far more interesting in my eyes.

I'm only a quarter of the way into the "Edge of Twilight" spot, and already Yug's delivery is making me want to kick him in a very sensitive place just to get him to vary his tone a little.

When it comes down to it, this is just a half hour of watching three guys talk to each other about video games with some slightly decent skits. They also missed out that Edge of Twilight is coming out for PC.

I loved it!
That was absolutly brilliant! Only way it could be better is if it was on the Escapist instead so I wouldn't have to leave this site.

1. being that Yahtzee has that clever cynical awesomeness about him im willing to watch it and it seems pretty good.
2. Yahtzee is known as being that cynical ass about videogames so try putting on that persona in a LIVE video. plus its only a pilot i assume hell get the hang of it and it will only get better.

AND
3. Candy is delicious Gaming is awesome.... which only means Delicious Awesomeness.

Yahtzee is totaly not what I expected.
...Hat. Kays.
He's either really TALL or that doorway was really small.
Two words. Crotch Shot.
Don't know t'other guys, so, myeh.
The show? Spartan = funnies
Duke Nukem = kinda funnies (want the mugs)
Prize at the end = funnies
I'll keep an eye out for the show, maybe watch a few episodes but it's a bit too... detatched for my liking.

4. They should jack the format of the daily show. Open with jokes on gaming news, intercut with pre-produced segments/skits. Have a 5 minute interview with someone notable near the end.
Its Australia - where the hell are you going to find someone notable?

And down here, we just call that format "Rove".
Poor Australia. I guess I didn't think about that. They would have to move the show to somewhere in North America where it would be easy to attract guests. Or use a satellite, which is less appealing. And yes Rove does use a similar format, as do many talk shows.
