nah i dont think so ive been called a nerd, a geek and a ps3 fanboy but people at my school know im a big gamer and know im proud to be one. if anyone ever has tried that id probly laugh in their face. even when most people are calling me a geek or a nerd their joking around too cause theyre in the same stuff as i am so no
Nope. It is I who look down on others if they don't play video games and make a point to let me know. Maybe it's because of my highly competitive nature. No one has even called me a nerd or a geek (even though I am a self-proclaimed nerd), probably because I was a jock playing 3 different sports growing up.
You only should get called a gamer insultingly (i think thats a word :S) when u play WoW or Runescape
Not really, but when the time comes that people start using the word as an insult towards me, I'll just laugh. Or, I'll flip out and start shouting, "NO! You are not allowed to say that! That's OUR word!", then file a lawsuit shortly after.

I've been a gamer since the first time I laid my eyes on my dad's old Acorn Workstation that ran off cassettes.
That was when I was about two and a half years old.
Geek, Nerd, Gamer, these are all badges of honor I wear and wear with pride.
Being one of the go to computer guys got me into more girls bedrooms than most people believed, though it was only for fixing their computers.
Though I received both gratitude and money for my work, even if it's never gotten me laid directly... but I did get a girlfriend out of one series of incidents.
When my friends steal my phone they wonder why I have so many girls in my address book why there are pages of texts from said girls.
Nerds/Geeks are popular these days, cuz who are they gonna call to save them from the big bad viruses?

i dont think anyone cares about me being a gamer. ever. except my parents but they dont count cos theyre old. its sort of become an alright thing to do since more people have picked it up, so many that those chuckling dickheads who laugh at gamers are now the minority and have very few people they can call friends from all the people theyve alienated.

I'm in my mid-teens, and the term 'nerd' and 'geek' is tossed around more than gamer, because. Well. Most people around here this age play games at least on occasion haha. It's nothing to even remotely worry about.
