Aquaman for the original Xbox.
On a side note I think that WH40K Squad Command was pretty fun, if they added more races, missions and better graphics then it could be a really popular game, but it seems like no one buys it.

Halo wars, my reasons are: not made by blizzard, console only, and its halo, they curbstomped any real point to that right after they finished the first game and book
Naruto: that series is mind wrenchingly shitty
barbie, my little pony, exploration games. self explanatory
gears of war 3 if they make it, will end up ruining the entire series if they are not careful
movie games and TV games: when havent they sucked?
LOTR games: overkill
anything not made by blizzard or has the name The Sims/half life on it in the computer games aisle not in the jewelcase section.
So no game is worth buying unless its made by Blizzard, Valve or Will Wright?

The games no one will buy are the games that no one will make.

I think even the worst game has the potential of at least one person thinking "Hey, no one else wants to give it chance, so I might as well" or "Maybe not for me, but my kid(s)/spouse/parent(s) might get a kick out of it" and thus resulting in that game selling at least one copy.
I don't get it, the thread isn't about games that have never sold one copy, its about games that you find bad enough that you wonder HOW they sell any copies. I realize the thread name is misleading, but read the first post at least.
My apologies for the misunderstanding. I don't pay much attention to all the games on shelves of the video game stores to really think about specific games that I doubt would sell.

But now that I do think about it, seeing all the movie tie-in games does make me think that perhaps the space could be better used for actual games, not wastes of space that double as a movie advertisement.

Apparently, I had no idea I was playing so many worthless games. (Extreme sarcasm)

Yep. Unless the developers actually tried, then it should be thrown in a ditch.

Well, I DO technically buy all these crappy games you guys keep talking about. Reason being that when a game at Gamestop doesn't sell for X amount of time, the price falls to $0.01 US. I know when they penny out, so I show up and buy them all. I have an endless supply of total crap to play. Not too bad for a poor college student who can't afford to pay for next gen games. And even one penny crap usually beats flash games.

Right now I have something like 6 random RTS games I've never heard of nor seen before waiting to be played. I'll report back soon.

Oh, but I do agree with FFX-2. I wouldn't buy it for one cent on principle alone.

Pokemon Pinball, not much to do with pokemon unless you just like seeing their pictures!

Bratz (the game), I have yet to find anyone who actually likes them and I they keep filling up the bargain bin!

Bingo. Except idiots keep buying millions of the exact same game, over and over again...
*Sigh*
This.

Also, any sports franchise game period.
I also look on the shelf at the Brain Age ripoffs and hope to god that they don't sell...

I see a game that no one will ever buy, but that they should all the time:

EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 2017

Most. Underrated. Game. Ever.

Bar none. I mean it. Bar fucking none. Its also hard to find depending on where you live.
EDF2017 was not that great.. it had like 3 maps that were beig constantly being reycycled, its controls we bad, and so was the story.

It had a lack of everything except for a bunch of GIANT FUDGEING FIREANTS!

But the boss batte of the mothership at the end was cool, just for the sheer scale of things. But again, retarded. Giant ants that pilot giant spaceships.. hmm were the DEVS on LSD when planing the game?
The beauty was in its simplicity. Go here, kill everything. Get better weapons. GEt more health. Go here. Kill everything. Get better weapons. Get more health. Repeat until you've grinded your way through Inferno difficulty. Its not a technical masterpiece, by any means.

I totally agree with you. Whats more boring than playing a game that you can play in real life yourself. Sounds like a waste of money and time to me.
I can get a club and a ball and head out to the links for a round of golf...but I'll likely never sink a hole in one at a par 3 at Pebble Beach like I can in Tiger Wood's golf.

I can grab a ball and enough friends to field two teams and play some football...but I don't have the skill to throw a tight spiral between two defenders to hit my man in the numbers for a last minute touchdown at the Super Bowl like I can playing Madden.

I could get my racket and whack a ball back and forth with a friend...but it's not the same as facing down an opponent at Wimbledon in Virtua Tennis.

I don't think the appeal of sports games is that hard to understand. But I wouldn't buy a new one every year.

on topic edit:

Those games marketed at young girls...Imagine stuff, Bratz anything. WTF is wrong with these people that they think that's an appropriate message to be sending to our children.
