Kingdom Hearts. 1 and 2 at least, Chain of Memories was a bit pants and I haven't played Birth by Sleep enough to judge.

Golly, I hope they make a third. Y'know, a proper third.
oh, and you didn't mention 'Kingdom Hearts: practically a year', on DS... just out of interest do you consider that one sacred too? I personally felt that it wasn't as fun as i imagined it to be, but that was probably me being a fanboy over the organisation.
Never played it. They're apparent releasing another on the 3DS so, assuming there's backwards compatibility, I'll just get the new one and "Practically a Year" at super cheap price.

I know there are things you can criticise about it too, but Kingdom Hearts is one of the few games that makes me focus on the good parts, rather than only remember the bad. Thus my inner fanboy ignores the bad altogether.
Plus the constant whittering on about light, friendship, darkness in hearts and all that crap can get a little tiresome. It's a change from "There are terrorists! Go kill 'em!" though, I suppose.
Lookin' at you Call of Duty, being a culprit of my previous example.

Shadowrun: glicthy powers unbalanced races but man magic+swords&guns= pretty fun for a while.

Saints Row 2.

It's probably my #3 favorite game, but the top 2, Fallout 3 and Castlevania:SOTN, are pretty universally liked, so I rarely have to "defend" them.

Saints Row 2 divides people because you'll often find the GTAIV vs. Saints Row 2 argument, and I'm in the camp that thinks GTAIV sucks balls while Saints Row 2 is almost deliriously fun.
Same here on the Saint's Row 2 > GTA4 thing. Otherwise, there are a lot of games I would defend if given UNJUST criticism, otherwise I really don't care.
I agree. The chracters (at least yours if you chose male 1) are hilarious plus a gang of ninjas couldn't be any more funny.

Neverwinter Nights, including SoU and HotU. This occupied my early gaming years. I made so, so many characters, and I will forever miss the masses of multiplayer servers and RP availability, and the community made content. That thing got me through secondary school sane. (Has been and always will be a geek)

Sins of a Solar Empire. Don't you dare rip on one of the VERY FEW games that are literally holding up the entire space RTS genre. With Homeworld 2 being as old as it is (Not saying that's a bad thing) People tend to look for newer games. I know of three. Galactic Civ (Which is technically TBS) Haegemonia: Legions of Iron (Which came down to who can buy the most battleships fastest, and how do you pronounce it anyway?) And Sins of a Solar Empire. Granted.. it has no campaign. I will cede that point. But show me ONE game that is a better space RTS than Sins.

Mass Effect 1/2. Granted, there are little niggles. But... Mordin. Nuff said. Argument, invalid.

And above all else because it pretty much started my geekdom, was my childhood hero, and my first console/console game, and got me into gaming... Sonic 1, 2, 3 & Knuckles for the Sega Megadrive.
C'mon, say it with me... "Seeeegaaaaaa."

Super Mario Sunshine, Galaxy, and Galaxy 2. Especially about the "same game" rubbish.

Oh, and Earthbound/Mother 3. I mean, really now. That's just downright foolish.

Arcanium for me is what I consider a perfect game that built on the best features of Fallout 1 and 2 and set it in a wonderful Steampunk Fantasy world. And I don't even particularly care for the whole Steampunk aesthetic even!

Baldur's Gate 2. To me its just perfect, an RPG masterpiece that in my opinion has yet to be beaten. It even inspired a brilliant and still active moding community. The sad thing is that I don't think that an RPG as good as BG2 will ever be made again.

Okami. The art, story, atmosphere, characters - it was all amazing. (wouldn't have any tattoos if it wasn't ;P )

For Zelda its Ocarina of Time & Twilight Princess.

Oh, and Batman: Arkham Asylum. As a psych person I loooooved what they did with it, especially the old psychiatric ward accuracies and the scarecrow bits. Totally threw me for a loop at that one spot.

Where you get the game failure screen.
