Games that have scared the Crud out of you

i played the game "SOUL" on my friends XboX."Soul" is a game on the XBLA.it started off pretty simple.don't touch the walls,avoid evil creatures,Ext.then near the end of a level i saw what i thought was a person.as soon as i passed it the this demon-type girl came on the game screamed and i nearly had a heart attack.you know those joke videos you get that say"look above the table to see a ghost"or"watch the haunted car"then something disurbing pops out and makes a loud noise then you jump up?well that what happens in soul.some time you don't even see the demon girl.

Trust me when I say this. Never play Fatal Frame at night when you are by yourself! You will scare the crap out of yourself.

System shock 2 scared the hell out of me the first time I played it. The things the hybrids would say just creeped me right out.

well, most of the "scary" games did not worked on me, for example, I was not scared by Dead Space (granted that is a great game, but it seemed mor like an action game). However, there is one that I simply had to stop paying, Fatal Frame III

The Department Store was so scary that I couldn't beat it...I'm ashamed of myself.

Startles scares don't count in my mind, otherwise I'd mention the foggy room segment from Bioshock.

Resident Evil Gamecube Re-make. I had it hooked up to my surround sound and in my room at night. Not the brightest thing to do.

AVP2 Marine Campaign. ARGH STOP CLAWING AT MY FACE! Also Abe's Odyssey freaked out to no end when I was smaller. Though when I play it now it's great stuff. Hmm the Fatal Frame series freaked me out to the point of not playing them due to freak out and the chance of me breaking something.

The typical sounds coming from my room at the time.

Both Condemned games had some genius moments...

The mannikin scare in part 2 was fucking terrifying too.. 'you're dead...

Then there was the locker room photo scene, the log cabin chase sequence, the torture chamber...

Awesome stuff.

And then the second half of the second game happened and suddenly it wasn't scary anymore.

Silent Hill 2 - Pyramid head, I was young and his showing up freaked me out.
Silent Hill 3 - a mirror scene in the hospital, I was uneasy about mirrors and bathtubs for a day or two after that.

Also, Silent Hill. Just Silent Hill. Almost the entirity of the first three, really (they're the only ones I've played).

Poison headcrabs in Half-Life 2 as well. They're just creepy. The noise they make is horrible.
