Games that just werent worth the effort

Some games are hard but you push through even after failing what seems like billion times. Then there are games that are hard but when push comes to shove it just doesn't seem like the effort is worth it.

My recent experience was Cy Girls for the ps2 while i knew the game wasn't that good it had some fun shooting bits. However i gave up on it when it introduced a timed jumping puzzle and add to that controls that clearly were not made to handle such precision. Now i could retry this again and again but as the title says it's just not worth the effort.

Left 4 Dead...I just kill zombies. Where's the sense of progress? At least give me some kind of minor leveling system. Little things like that help. The level unlocks don't have to be unbalanced, but say you unlock clothing for the ingame characters or something. Like "give Zoey mustache" or something.

Tom Clancy's HAWX certainly wasn't worth fifty fucking dollars. I beat it, even though it's fun flying around all the missions seem to be more or less the same.

Prince of Persia 2008. I was playing through it then I forgot about the game completely because it was so boring. I eventually found it, put it back in, finished it and actually said "well that wasn't worth it."

Oh I'm going to say TimeShift. I downloaded the Demo and rather enjoyed it but then my sis got me the full version and it was just a let down. Its was also the first game I had ever gotten that I could never beat because of how much I didn't like it.

Bio-Shock. Got my interest, and lost it. It was a rental luckily, so no skin off my nose. I just wasted the last 3 days of the rental.

Fallout 3, bioshock, dark void, prince of persia (the last one). Crap, i don't remember them all. All i know, i only go through 1 out of about 5 games i play. I went through bioshock though. Purely because i had no internet connection for 6 months and i was desperate.

Wet. I bought a used copy of it, which is hard to find in my hometown. It seems that everyone wanted to keep the game because they did not want anyone to know they had it in their collection. That should have been the tip off really.

Do not get me wrong: I love Ultra violent games, I love tits, and I love over the top action and Wet has them in abundance.

I was impressed by the game. Wet did the impossible and made all three boring as hell to play through. I think the turning point for me was the fight scene on the freeway. It caused me to wonder what the fuck. I know this is supposed to imitate a grindhouse style movie, but this stunt is far more elaborate than anything in those movies, let alone a summer blockbuster. The only thing that comes close is that stunt in the Matrix Reloaded. I am going to beat this game because I do not let games win, but as soon as I am done, I am going to get rid of it.

That being said, this game would make a better movie and if it ever comes out in theaters, I'll be the first in line. It really wants to be a movie and not a game.

it wasn't hard in terms of gameplay, it was hard to play because it sucked so bad
