I think I've said this before but:

Anything in the Oddworld franchise; no-one seems to care about it any more so even if they screw it up, it won't matter and Oddworld are already kind of looking into films, I've heard that they've done a few adverts and have been outsourced by various companies for several projects.

Don't bother basing it on the games and their story lines, that is the road to ruin, just base it on the the planet that i'ts set on and draw your inspiration from there.

Please don't have any humans ending up there, that would ruin the entire point of the messages that Oddworld is trying to convey and completely destroy not only the subtext but also the verisimilitude.

Use canonical characters, non-canonical characters or even make up an entirely new species for the movie if you want; as long as it feels like Oddworld I.E.: has the same kind of humour and aesthetic, then go for it. People who aren't familiar with the franchise will see it as an entertaining movie about aliens with an interesting personality and people who are familiar with it will be more likely to get any references, wildlife, environments and/or characters you put into it.

Also, don't listen to the fans; we're idiots who don't know what we want.

Dang Ninja'd .

Anything From the Oddworld Franchise would be Awesome, they've already got a brilliant storyline, great characters that would work on screen. And they're funny as hell.

Assuming that the movie would be a faithful adaptation of the game that respected existing canon and catered mainly to existing fans (which is impossible) I'd like to see a Mass Effect or Halo movie.
This. The problem is to truly get it right, they'd either have to make each movie 4 hours long, or split each game into 2 movies. Which would never happen. And they'd have to try to refrain from making it into another stereotypical action movie, and actually focus on the galaxy and the characters. Which also, wouldn't happen.

Also, we need a Bioshock movie, that'd be coool.

A Knights of the Old Republic movie would be pretty awesome, as long as it was based on the first one. Yeah, instead of re-releasing the old Star Wars movies in 3D, make Kotor. Much better.

Honestly.. I think Homeworld could make a good movie, just cut out most of the spacefights and have show the life of the crew and the fighterpilots as the mothership hyperspaces its way to the homeplanet. Heck, it could even have a sequel about defending said homeplanet.

And Final Fantasy could probably become movies... Animated ones anyway.

Maybe Square-Enix could make an animated homeworld movie.. Win/win.
Final fantasy actually does have 2 movies (as far as I know) one is bad and the other is Advent Children.
Well yea.. I liked Homeworld hugely because of the very nice artstyle background and the awesome choice of music "Speccialy the Adagio for Strings" And since FF both have the soundtrack and visuals nailed i think Square Enix could make quite the thing out of it. Reminds me... Who does hold the rights to Homeworld?

Deadly Premonition. It would be hilarious and amazing and camp and pretty much a cult-classic from the get-go.

RE: Prototype

the fight scenes would be worth the Tom Cruise-soul sucking-death proking-career threatening line bile that would interupt them. Would be like neo meets carnage. Go on Alex, you throw that tank into that Geezers face!

Half Life.
The Purchase Brothers are on a secret project, maybe it's about doing that... (they already did a short film called "Escape from City 17").

i'd say make a Red Faction Guerilla movie.... oh wait, Syfy is already doing it...

There are quite a few games that could be made into movies; Mass Effect, Half-Life, Fallout, Bioshock, Uncharted, etc. Although none of them SHOULD. The problem being that Hollywood being Hollywood, they would end up butchering the source material and you're trying to convert a 12+ hour game into a 120 minute movie, which means that they'll end up missing some of the important details and characters which made these games so great to begin with.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: The Three Stones
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: The Hero of Time
Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

Can you say "trilogy" anyone?

The only good one would be Mass Effect because it just has such a detailed game setting and would make a f*cking awesome space epic if DONE RIGHT.

But tbh I'd just rather play and enjoy the game. Sadly I can see a Modern Warfare film on the horizon due it being more popular God, Allah and the Buddha combined.
