Dungeons & Dragons Online. After spending four years on WoW, free MMOs just don't cut it anymore. :(

Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom. My brother and I got it from Gamestop with little idea what it was because the employee there recommended it for multiplayer. We returned it within two hours.

Final Fantasy Tactics: Advance. Which is really, really weird, considering I love Disgaea and Fire Emblem to death. I can't even really think of a reason WHY I hated it... I just did.
Half Vampire...

You know the one...

Every JRPG i've ever tried.

KoToR (I mean, seriously? Pause the game so that i can tell my party what to do? Are you sure i don't need a diaper anymore, daddy?)

I could actually expand on this KoToR business: Not only is the problem that the game pauses when entering combat, but rather what that is an indicator of: that this game is designed in such a way that pausing the game to tell my different party members to throw 16 different spells at some boss monster and heal up is actually a skill that may come in handy at some point.

Thank you, but i could go be that guy who plays 30 characters at once in WoW if i wanted that shit.

I'm actually spent. I don't usually get games if i don't think i'm gonna like em.

Haze, the supposed Halo killer, one of the worse games I've ever played.

Oblivion, didn't exactly hate it but got bored of it in that time frame, something about the world and races just looked cheap and not very well thought out.

World of Warcraft.

My wow addicted friend wanted me to start playing as he would get tripple xp or some shit.
I made my dood and started running around. First thing i noticed was the slow and utterly horrible combat wich killed it for me.

''The game unfolds at lvl 80 man... don't stop now''
Uhm.. yeah i wanna do mindless and agonizing combat with rabits and wolves for 79 lvls... fuck that.

EvE Onøine on the other hand fielded pretty much the same mechanics. But it suited the game so much better. I stayed with that game for nearly three years.

Between the overcomplicated way to doing anything (we thought so, anyway) and the Japanese people with British accents...it was just bad.

I still hate that game, actually.
At the time this game came out I worked at a Walmart. One day the Sony rep(the guy from Sony) came in and told me how amazing this game was. The next day Walmart put it on clearance. I barely dodged that particularly horrible bullet.

OP: Final Fantasy X-2. Like/dislike X if you want, X had a story and the story ended: again like/dislike. Then X-2 came along, and what I thought was a good end suddenly wasn't the end. It was a truly bad sequel, a cash in, but I still wanted to know how the story "really" ended. After playing for five minutes I knew it wasn't worth it. After playing the entire game I kicked myself for playing it. I got a bad ending because I didn't know how to whistle.
Yeah that's what I said.

Years later someone invented Youtube and I saw the good ending and the 100% ending. They weren't worth the time I spent playing FFX-2.

Force Unleashed. As soon as I heard the name "Starkiller", I knew I was in for some serious suckage. A few minutes of gameplay later, let's just say I decided platforming elements don't belong in beat-em-up games, especially when the character jumps like he's on the end of the stick rammed firmly up his ass.

At least he could walk over the countless ankle-high ledges in the world geometry that are in EVERY level. Wait, what? You mean I have to jump over what a normal human wouldn't even trip over?

Worst. Sith. Ever.
I agree. Lucas Arts really fucked up with that one, story wise. That's why I loathe the game.

"HEY! HERE'S AN IDEA! How about we make a level where he pulls down a Star Destroyer!"
-"Uhhh... George, I don't think that's a good idea..."
-"SURE IT IS! OH! How about we make him stronger than both Vader and The Emperor?!"
-"What? WHAT!? That's a terrible idea! It will deface the entire series! You can't make an apprentice stronger than a Sith Lord!"
-"Well guess what *****? Star Wars is MAH PROPERTAH and I decide what is done with it!"

Fuck you George. FUCK. YOU.

Have you ever picked up a game, sat down with it for five or ten minutes and instantly thought "im not going to like this". Mine would be eve online. I did the combat tutorial mined some rocks and was pretty happy. Then i clicked "take me to next mission" 50 warp gate jumps later through the endless boring darkness of space past hundreds of other random cloned ships and I realise I hate the games basic mechanics with a burning passion. If the tutorial mission requires you to sit through 10 minutes of solid travel in a featureless 3d environment, and subsequently with no map, while i have no idea in hell where i am relative to anything.

Ever had a similar experiance? What specifically disagreed with you about the game?

If you want name a game you loved instantly and why, maybe one of the first lines a character said or an intro event.
How the hell did it take you through 50 gates? I've been playing for a couple of months, and I'm doing lvl 4 mishes tops 20 gates from the starting area.
50 WARP GATES?! Jesus, it take like 5 minutes just to do 4 of them!

Dududf, I played the trial and got up to owning 2 Cormrants, 1 Merlin and all the ships I got from the missions I was doing (Bantams and those useless bird things) Are there actually missions where you are part of a fleet and its a massive battle or is that just shameless marketing?

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Ugly controls I could never really grasp, and I knew that if I was having issues just playing as Darth Vader mowing down endless easily slain Wookies... this was gonna hurt.

That basically summed up my WOW play time. "So your telling me I have to buy the game, play for about 6 months of boring as hell grind, all the while paying $15 extra dollars a month(so about $150 at this point and god knows how many hours), just to get to the fun part? Yea fuck this I'm quitting."

Also half-life 2, for some reason I just couldn't get into it, I'm not saying the game is bad, just very very average.

Assassins Creed

In all honesty I've never been more bored playing a game before that one.

Divinity II: Ego Draconis.

My god, the things that were wrong with that game were overwhelming. Poor button mapping, horrible combat, annoying quests, uninteresting story and garbage graphics.
Yea. Might have been about 10 minutes because I wanted to see if anything would happen, but no.

Thanks for reminding me to cancel my account. About a month ago I was playing WoW and I happened upon a statue that not only told me that the big bad I was trying to kill had already been killed, but it showed me a cutscene depicting his end. So my getting to lvl 80 finally was meaningless. Lvl 80 man... I stopped then!

Lord of the Rings: Conquest.

Cheap kills (and I mean REALLY cheap), horrific voice-acting, a fucking COMMENTATOR yelling at me in a monotone voice every two minutes and the fact my character takes two seconds to react to any button I hit.

Waste of $30.

Section 8 - Played 10 mins of the campaign, hated the controls, weapons, everything
Felt like a really cheap Halo knpck off. Orbital insertion gimmick was crap.
Went online and that was just as bad.
Great game apart from that :p

Swat 4 - I'm really bad for making myself complete games 100%, and anyone who has played this will know how much of a bastard this game is in terms of 100% mission ratings.
Basically, you can't kill anyone, you have to tie up and report the locations of everyone you find/subdue, as well as pick up their weapons, your teammates can't be incapped, you can't be hit at all, and you have to send an update to command every time you do ANYTHING. I nearly cried.

I've never hated a game THAT quickly. It took me at least an hour to compile a complaint list for Psychonaughts. You know that uncomfortable feeling on your first week of a job or just being in a new place when you're presented with a few fistfulls of responsibilities you need to get done ASAP after a long period of boringly tranquil time, then you start to shake & your blood pressure goes through the roof & your chest hurts? That's Psychonaughts.

sorry but.......Bioshock
I know people have different preferences and all that, but how could not like/love Bioshock. The beginning was so fucking immersive and the combat was visceral fun. The story was absolute gold and it's a shame you didn't go through to the end

DARKSIDERS in extremely capital letters. A shitty hack and slasher with terrible platforming and puzzles

Oh, come on.
That is no reason to dislike a game.
At least dislike the game for the game actually being bad.
Not just the media.
