Paradise Falls in Fallout 3. It doesn't even really scare me, it just...disturbs me. I can't even approach it without feeling uneasy.
Great, solid shooter but not very scary. Especially by Monolith's standards.happysock said:Fear 2 *shakes head in dissapointment*
Aww I remember watching my brother run throught aht bit, it scared me too and I wasn't even playing. Things scare me much more when I'm actually playing.feather240 said:In oblivion when ever you're woken up earlier by someone, or when an enemy sneaks up on you.
In Metroid Prime 3 when you first meet the metroids. [possible spoiler]
You have to deactivate the power supply after walking by at least 30 tanks of Metroids. Than they rush out and you can see them swarming on the other side of the glass walls, also when they grab onto you you can see their pinchers and your HUD turns to static. The music is scary too.
i never found the gary's scary, I found it hilarious.cainx10a said:First encounter with Gary was shocking. In Final Fantasy VII when you've infiltrated the Shinra Corporations headquarters there's a part after you've escaped from the cells where you follow a trail of blood from Jenovas "cell" that leads upwards through the building. This combined with all the dead bodies that litter every floor and the disturbingly creepy music actually had me genuinely creeped out!
(And I played it the first time when I was 18!)

The first time Lucien Lachance from the Dark Brotherhood scared the crap out of me, too. I was too busy wondering why my character was waking up after only an hour's sleep, when the camera suddenly zoomed in on him, and I actually yelled.
of course then i found the way to make weapons that kill anything and that kinda took away from the scariness...
GAAAH!!! The horrible, horrible memories!!!AbuFace said:Maeshone said:Dunno if it really scared me, but it definately creeped me out...

I'm with you on that one, that level scared the shit out of me, no matter how many times I played it.w-Jinksy said:come the second mission you had to apprehend a serial killer after its believed he has a girl kept in his house, the briefing doesnt bode well for the mission as it describes in detail what he does to the girls he takes, on to the mission i decided to take the stealthy route and go through the garage the garage sets is a indication that the rest of this mission isnt going to be too pleasant for you, glass cages filled with dead rats were piled high in this room, i go through a door and break into his bedroom which is plastered with newspapers stating his killings and pictures of the ones he killed and to quote the black guy in the squad "holy shit man ive got a bad feeling about this", you then go into the room adjoined where there are more newspaper clipping s on the walls and theres mannequins and papier mache masks hanging from the cieling, and on a filthy bed is a woman restrained wearing what seems to be a porcelaine mask though it isnt the one your looking for, you then have to carry on into what seems like a makeshift tunnel into a iron box underground, as soon as you go through into the iron room you see the killer holding a shotgun to the head of the crying woman whos covered in blood and filth, i didnt kill the serial killer though i was doing shit by the books.
The only thing that made this worse was the fact his mother who was upstairs when the killings had happened kept repeating hes a good boy hed never hurt a fly. that mission scared me more than any horror game has in the last few years, probably cos murderers are real and monsters arent and that scenario has probably happened somewhere.
So what games that werent supposed to be scary scared the beslubber out of you.
