I agree with you there except I normally press the vats button only to discover a pouncing deathclaw right behind me when I was aiming for something else. But its more scarier for me if its in real time and I hear footsteps then theres something right behind me. But that mainly first person shooting games.Xanadeas said:I dunno, even with all my awesome gear I always wound up jumping just a bit when I turned around to see a Deathclaw nomming on my ass. And yes, I have yelled "baahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" when that happens.
I didn't have him pop up as often as I did one of the Russian astronauts. I don't know if this was a glitch on mine or what, he would just pop up and stand there, not doing anything. I couldn't talk to him, but he didn't affect my heart rate either.Lucane said:Oh yeah every time.theSovietConnection said:Oh god that game was always good for a scare. Which one did it for you? (Shudders)that fucking priest from the fisheries and the mine elevator, the way he'd shake the security camera if you moved it when he was around, and the way he'd block you from trying to run past him.
It didn't help that sometimes you could walk down corridors that are locked at the other end early on and come back and find the preist just popping up to screw with you once you clear the objective in the last area.
I didn't realize the black robes were apart of his uniform till I found his info thought he was a special demon/ghost sense he never stayed in one place.
First encounter with Gary was shocking. The following encounter with the other Gary(s) scary as hell.Gilbert Munch said:Meanwhile, in another vault...Insanum said:Fallout 3's vault with the drugs in the air scared me shitless, And im still jumpy in that game. Too many times ive turned around and...
'Gaaaary!'
Wasn't as bad as one time when Jauffre came up behind me to say something. I yelled and fell out of my chair. Caught me way off guard, which I guess is bad for a thief character.Andaxay said:I get really scared when travelling through Oblivion's caves, mines and forts. The first time Lucien Lachance from the Dark Brotherhood scared the crap out of me, too. I was too busy wondering why my character was waking up after only an hour's sleep, when the camera suddenly zoomed in on him, and I actually yelled.
At first it seems bad enough early on when the chainsaw-wielding generals come running headlong at you from around a corner... then the space marines show up.thegreatmilenko said:anyone ever played warhammer 40k : firewarrior for ps2? that game is scary

You`ve almost perfectly summed up what i was going to sayUnkeptBiscuit said:HT_Black said:Batman: Arkham Asylum. Those Scarecrow segments...yeck...The boss fights were just flat-out bad, but the parts before them were just creepy. The voices in the room during the first one would have creeped me out more if I hadn't spent like 10 minutes looking for the Riddler challenge. Seeing the Scarecrow after I left the room was unexpected. I loved the flashback before the second one, that was paced perfectly. And I personally freaked out during the third when the game looked like it was glitching and restarting, then my thoughts went to "What's going on?" then to flat out "WTF" when I realized my controller didn't have a middle stick. but yeah, those were good.
I do that a lot.timmytom1 said:You`ve almost perfectly summed up what i was going to sayUnkeptBiscuit said:HT_Black said:Batman: Arkham Asylum. I have him equipped in decent Power Armor and Power Helmet. I'm a low level, so it's the best I can get for him so far. But, alas, we are still an awesome team![]()
