A few people have already mentioned superhero singleplayer RPG, and I support this.

You know, what would have been good with this game? High quality morality system. What I mean is that you choose your starting alignment, for example hero, villain or mercinary, but during the game your role may change due to your actions and/or some events.

For example hero loses his/her comrade, loses will to do good deeds and simply works as a superhuman for hire, or villain sees that even greater evil has risen and he knows that it will destroy him/her, so he/she unites with heroes to prevent this, but later in the story he/she softens up, sees good in humans etc.

Also, Marvel Super Heroes 2. Why not? It was a really good fighting game and the only thing they (Capcom) has to do is take UMvC3 Marvel characters, add some fan requests (Thanos, Juggernaut and Spiral pleeeease!), slow the gameplay down a bit, make a few balance changes and it's ready. Oh yeah, and add some decent story, for cripes sake!

I'm surprised Nintendo/Game Freak/HAL Laboratory haven't made a Pokemon game on the console in like the handheld games. It would make a metric fuckton of money.
I'm also really surprised by this.

Why didn't Weird Al have his own Guitar Hero/Rock Band spin-off?! Also, What the Hell happened to Rock Band Japan?!? One more: Dance Central only it has nothing but K-Pop songs. I would buy Dance Central if I knew I could dance to Gee, Marshmallow and/or Lucifer.

Republic Commandos 2
FUCK. YES.

That game, was the most badass thing to come out of star-wars ever.

But they settled for a book for a sequel..... What a fucking waste.
The books were pretty decent, but then there was a clash between the author and Lucas because the Mandalore in the CGI series overwrote what she has written and they wanted her to make the adjustment in her next book, which she politely told them to fuck off, thus cancelling her next book and declaring all 5 books non-canon.

A Scifi horror game set on a star ship that doesn't completely suck arse

Another Ghost in the Shell Game that's not centred around driving a tuchikoma

Stargate... X302b test pilot (but then space sims are kinda dead), something along the lines of SG1, the next generation. There is so much shit you could do with Stargate

Now it already exists kinda, but why isn't it better. A star trek game with the space combat of STO and the ground combat of halo. I want my United Federation Marine Corps (Military Command Assault Operations, ITS CANON!). Mater of fact they could make an entire game about the MACO, but they'd fuck it up and make it a COD/GOW clone, which would be fine but they'd forget to make the characters interesting and question what it means to be human. Still I kinda have this cool vision of a fire team doing a HALO insertion, dodging rocks of a planets rings by using Ion Thrusters strapped to their hands and feet, then moving to a wing suit when they entered atmo. And there is no reason why you couldn't fight Dinosaurs. Oh and they don't use tanks, they use bipedal mechs. And they could use the Valkyrie SSF, the most under used yet most awesome fighter of all time, but it would have to be the concept with the rudders on it as they are fitted for close air support. because of the nature of star trek you could create episodic content, and it could be wordy so as not to strain the developers too much. Oh, and the Marines say Oo'rah, ALL THE TIME

VIACOM, WHY U NO!?!

When I was looking to join up I thought about applying for an extra national application to the corps, just so I could say Oo'rah

Captcha; yes, sir

An Oban star racers game would have been great I used to love that show and still do.
There was suppose to be one for the DS but it just got forgotten because of artistic differences.
It was a tragedy that one never came out it would have been great.

HAN SOLO: THE VIDEO GAME

This idea was on cracked a while ago; imagine: You play as Han Solo, and travel the galaxy (pre-episode IV) with your wookie companion and spend time carrying out deals with various dangerous gangsters for about 15 hours.

It would be the best video game ever made.
I ventured into this thread to mention this. It's one of those ideas so simple, so obvious, but so brilliant at the same time. It seems impossible that nobody with the power to do something about it has ever thought of it.

Dead Island should fit your description. Your welcome.
Amendment: The obvious one is a zombie apocalypse sandbox that doesn't suck.
Amen.. Another that might count is dead rising but I think what we really need is a good emotional and realistic zombie game.... not chainsaw motorbikes...

A horror game set in a facility located deep in the bottoms of the ocean.

And I mean really deep.

Like fricking miles deep.

Where you battle deep sea monstrosities on land and in water. I'd like to play a game where you have to flee from like a Cthulhu type of monster in water and when you turn around you see it slowly closing into you and opening it's big mouth while you surrounded by the darkness and water.

Now that would be, in my opinion, awesome.

Like Bioshock... but Amnesia like scary with Dead Space style monsters as big as the Hive Mind.

A man can dream. :3

Edit: Some minor mistakes. :)

Kinda surprised we haven't seen a Robotech MMO yet, as long as we're busy talking about giant robots.
Reminds me of an old strategy game where the main fighting force was these giant robots where you picked their individual body parts and weapons to make a unique machine...Metal Fatigue, I think it was called. Man, I miss that game...

2. Republic Commando 2 would have to be Imperial Commandos, unless they don't want to use the remainder of Delta Squad or the given information of Karen Traviss', as the Mando/Commando culture was retconned for The Clone Wars.
Nonetheless, I would like to see another as well--it gave such an interesting output on the Star Wars universe.
Yeah, same here, a group of imperial commandoes, infiltrating and destroying rebel scum, showing them that stormtroopers actually ARE precise. ;-)

But I doubt we'll ever see that.
Damn, had almost forgotten about that game, and yes, that would be awesome, it had heart.

Anyway, I'd love to see Mass Effect, tactics. They already have loads of factions with unique ways in fighting and conflicts to centre their plot around, plus loads of weapons and armours. Just make it like the old Syndicate game with missions and equipment, add some fallout tactics gameplay and a give each race a small campaign, add multiplayer maps and you would have a badass game. (I would play the Asari or Quarian campaign first, followed by the Batarian.)

A little bit off topic but, I want to play a game where you build armies conquer lands manage resources. You know like a real time strategy game but it must be very similar to the total war series with almost the same formula with epic battles where you can see all the little soldiers battling it out. But here comes the interesting part at any given moment you can switch to any of the little soldiers or warriors and control them in first person view. Like you can control a warrior on the front lines, fighting with sword and shield while you cut the enemy down with first person melee combat like dark messiah's combat. Something like mount and blade but just with better and more fluid combat crossed over with the total war series. That will be awesome.

And then there have to bee a sequence where dinosaurs attack and there have to be a particular part where a T-Rex is after you and you have to run away really fast before the thing devours you. And then it cuts to a horror survival game where you have to survive by finding food water and a secure place to sleep at night with first person melee combat and spaceships, aliens, magic and dragons and you have to ability to build things and mine resources all the while building a harem with hot chicks as sex slaves with air battles in flying spiders.

sorry but my imagination just ran away with me again and I luckily stopped it before it went to far. But man a game like that will be awesome............. or a great big cluster fuck.

I always wanted to have a realistic Zombie sandbox game focused on survival. Doesn't even have to be zombies, just "monster in the dark". I imagine A very open world game where you have to search buildings and scavenge, where you have to eat and drink (not like in F:NV Hardcore mode, that was a good try, but didn't succeed well) and find a safe place to sleep. Where you could meet other survivors, but you're not sure if they're friendly or not. It would rely more on atmosphere than action. I don't know how they would make it so that it doesn't become boring and/or repetitive.

And yes, I have tried S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

I already mentioned a morality system. Last post of the previous page.

I didn't include a "Neutral" morality, though. Just because I wanted to be kind to the hypothetical programmers.

I don't think that this is hard: "I don't care about your goals, just pay money for the job."

Me and my friend have an awesome game idea we hope to make in the future. (He's studying game production and I'm studying game art). I won't give away too much, but it involves pizza deliveries and zombies.

A Pokemon MMORPG. Not because i'd be interested in this kind of game but because it seems like the kind that would seem like a good idea to pretty much everybody. I mean Pokemon begs practically to be made into a online-game. I'm sure it'd be absurdly successful.
