Mass Effect 2 -.-
It's a lovely game, but it didn't have the same mystery that the first one did. The combat was fun and all, but nothing kept me truly wanting to push deeper into the story. The first one revealed a fair deal of the mystery which is not a bad thing, it just made the second one less interesting for me.

Desert Bus...no that's too obvious.

Yeah I'll agree with Jakko on Final Fantasy 13.
I triple that, i just couldn't get into it and this is from a long time fan of final fanatasy and JRPGs in general.

L.A. Noire was boring as hell I stopped playing it it was so boring
It felt like work... Worse, it felt like work crossed with that dream where you're in a car but can't drive, and can't convince people that that's the case no matter how many pedestrians you hit.
The first couple of cases it felt fresh and new and all that, but then it just started wearing on me.
Yeah, after the homicide desk (which had a dreadful climax) it seemed pointless and I just didn't wanna play anymore.

Dragon Age 2

Run around in the same enviroment over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over...

It got old fast and not even the broken combat or lame story could keep me interested.

Forza Motor Sport 2.

When I first got a 360, I went to IGN or some review site to see what the highest score game was for the console. Sure enough, FMS2 was up at the top. So I jumped to the conclusion that high scoring = good game, and bought it. Played it for an hour or so and was impressed by the pretty car graphics, but got bored soon after.

That's when I learned I didn't like realistic racing games, and should never rely only on review sites to make purchasing decisions.

would you like to play some triple triad with the rules from Galbania (have no clue if i'm remembering that name right) or can i interest you in this magic lamp? NO DON"T USE IT!! jk jk just being a douche you can bill me for the increase in stress at the mention of triple triad later.
ot the gta games always bore me all that happens is jump in crash a car kill some people etc.
also mmorpgs get tedious after the first few levels

I felt that... Played the demo of FM3 with much trepidation. FM3 is a lot more fun in my opinion. And that is the point of a game in my opinion. If it isn't enjoyable, what's the point?

CoD Black Ops. Played a couple of hours, dropped it. The singleplayer that is, I still enjoyed the multiplayer at the time. Just a shooting gallery. Nothing else to it.
Dude the campaign only lasts a couple of hours , like 5 max.

Metro 2033. I wanted to like that game so much. I really did. But god dammit man, its beautiful sure, but the 'stealth' sucks really bad. Every enemy everywhere knows exactly where you are if you crack a tiny twig under your foot and there is no hiding. I know it's supposed to be more immersive, but THE GUNS SUCK! It's like a WoW wipe if you get caught. There is no more point to trying so you just stand there until you die so you can try again.

It reminds me of that Battletoads sequence on the speeder bikes - you just have to do it over and over and try to remember the sequence of movements. Throw knife at guy 1, hide in corner, silent shot at guy 2 as he patrols by, turn corner left, throw a knife at guy 3 - DAMN should have hit guy 4 there, I'm dead AGAIN!

Also, I do not for the life of me understand people who like Oblivion. I think I've played it for all of like three hours. I just couldn't do it. I just kept thinking "but people love this game! I love RPG's, why does this suck so much?" and then i gave up and moved on. It's soooo ugly and sooooo boring! It's not Bethesda, I love New Vegas. It's just The Elder Scrolls.

You can't present that as a positive.

FALLOUT BLOODY 3.

It doesn't matter how much freedom you have if all you're getting is the freedom to do absolutely nothing of interest in the most hideous environment in the history of video games. I STILL don't understand why Fallout 3 was so accepted by the mainstream...

I downloaded the demo of Bodycount today, finished it and basically forgot about it 10 minutes later. Another game that comes to mind is Final Fantasy 7, it just seems you spend way too much time in Midgar at the beginning, so when I finally got outside I just couldn't be bothered to carry on playing it.
HERESY! BURN THE WITCH!

I know everyone says these things about they're favorite games, but FF7 is worth continuing. I know its long, it really is, but if you like JRPGs at all and you like a good story, FF7's story is amazing as it goes along. If you don't like that genre, then forget it, FF7 will suck the life out of you.

I think of it kind of like 'The Hobbit'. The first chapter of that book was sooo SLOW! Honestly people kept saying it was so good, but i couldn't get past the first shitty chapter. I re-read the first chapter like six times before i finally sucked it up and went further. It is now one of my favorite books.

I'm not excusing a slow start. The start shouldn't be so slow. That is a clear flaw, but in this case it's worth looking past.

Half Life 2 is terribly slow moving and boring, and for fuck's sake Valve, I'm pretty sure you can afford to put in some ambient music, it's so damn quiet.

Gears of War. Run to cover. Shoot. Advance.

Grand Theft Auto. Brown 'n' gloom.

The Witcher. If you can't make it good, make it grimdark.

YES finally another of my kind! Fallout is pretty good but Oblivion put me to sleep. The thing that bothers me the most about it though is that anyone I know that likes Oblivion will constantly tell me that I must have been playing it wrong and that I should try again.

Although I die inside a little every time someone trashes Oblivion, I have to sit back and remember that it can be a ***** to really get into. I think Fallout is a little more accessible because it does a little less of the whole drop you with no direction and a ton of crap to get acquainted.
