Silent Hill 1-4 - The originals are simply masterpieces. The later ones, not so much. But hope still lives on... somewhere.
Halo Series - For the single player campaign NOT the multiplayer. Don't group me with THAT lot!
Half Life Series - They really are just very, very good games. No two ways about it!
Star Fox Series - There's some good and bad here but the original games are still great fun.
Alan Wake - It's only one game and it has its flaws, but it remains one of my favourite gaming experiences.
Metal Gear Solid Series - Believe me when I say you'll never find another game quite like these, anywhere!

I don't feel like much of a fanboy of anything, but I'll mention Planescape: Torment. That game just sucked me in.

I'm a HALO universe fanboy (not just the games, books as well). I'm also an Oblivion fan boy. A Vanilla Oblivion fanboy. A Vanilla Console Oblivion Fanboy. The horror.

Kingdom Hearts :)
I shall defend the need to release games on the hand-held consoles that are sometimes almost necassary to understand the plot, even though the majority of people don't find the need to own a PS2, DS and PSP

Gears of War. FAN-BLOODY-TASTIC. Surprisingly deep (although not too deep) and with the BEST third-person gameplay out there. Ever. No arguments are allowed.
I like Gears of War for fun because it's so ridiculous in terms of the characters but is fun in the gameplay department. I call it Bros of War though.
Haha it so works!

easy, the my favorite game is DCS Black Shark because its such a realistic fight sim. Its the reward thats involved that does it for me. I also have a place in my heart for the IL-2 series. If you hadn't guessed by now i like flight sims, i dont know why.

Fallout, Mass Effect, Assassins Creed.

Fallout because theres nothing better in the entire world than a trek through the wasteland listening to Galaxy News Radio, meeting interesting people, nicking all their stuff and leaving a live grenade in their pocket.

Mass Effect because the story interested me enough to playthrough it again four times (with my level 51 or so Bastion) and enjoy it not just the achievements, it also made me buy Dragon Age: Origins which i also thoroughly enjoy, even if its easy to not know where to go.. (Borrow a compass from Fallout? The map is so immersion breaking.)

Assassins Creed because its a game for people who want an open world and an amazing way to traverse it, Assassins Creed was the first game i bought on the xbox and it was pretty harsh on me for getting "B" and "A" mixed up (years of pokemon / old habits) especially in combat, the final boss was incredibly difficult but i felt like i'd achieved something. Assassins Creed II however was easy and brought innovation (i.e. you were no longer water soluable) in a new area in which there were loads more towns and cities to explore in the fashion of the game. And then there was Assassins Creed: Brotherhood (2 1/2 wouldnt cut it apparently) a story that would tag right on to the end of Assassins Creed II but the real reason i like it is the multiplayer, Its my favourite multiplayer game at time of writing (at war with Six Vegas 2 but Brotherhood has an excuse for insta-killing you).

Thanks for reading.
