hmm, Mass Effect 2, Dead Space 2, and going back a bit, Metal Gear Solid 4 (I had to wait until midnight for the early release) ^^

I had a pre-order slip for the oft-delayed Diablo 2 sitting in my wallet for a year and a half before it hit the shelves. I know I also bought Half-Life 2 on release day, and Batman: Arkham Asylum (that might have been the day after, now that I think about it).

Think that is all for pre-orders or launch day purchases. I buy all of my games on Steam or another digital distributor if Steam doesn't list the game, so I tend to wait until the prices drop. But those I just couldn't resist.
