You were like a Wizard guy or atleast you wore wizard robe. The very first part of the game i think is getting the robes which is in a house which is locked. and when you get the robes it's like the game starts. You are on an island i think or atleast close to the sea my memory goes blank here. I think you find a way of there and end up in the desert some how. I remember clearly though that you had this buggy which you could drive around in. I also mind that there was this room that was like all stars around you and no floor i got stuck there i think.

It was a demo I played on the PC, we're talking well over 10-15 years ago here. It was in 3D and it was set in like a Japanese village surrounded by water (if you went too far into the water you'd drown), your character was male, wearing a blue floor-length tunic and you had like a little black ponytail coming off the top of your head.
That's easy: Little Big Adventure 2: Twinsen's Odyssey.

Maybe it was Master of Orion [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master_of_Orion]? Or Star Control [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Control]?
Master of Orion Looked promising, but no it wasn't that. Good try though!
Could it be Ascendancy [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ascendancy_%28video_game%29]? It definitely had wormholes and blocking them and ohmygoditshuge 3d tech tree.
I think I love you in a non-rapist way ^_^ that's been bugging me for ages! Thank you!

Does anyone know a game for the PC like tron?
It was a 3D deathmatch style game set in a large multi room arena with different coloured bikes, each with different stats. The part I remember best was when, after some time had past, a blue wall of energy slowly closed in to the centre of the arena's ending the game. It looked like tron but the images I get when I search are not the same. Anyone have any ideas?
That would be Armagetron, we played over the LAN on all the camp computers... so fun. Sounds exactly like it.

As for the first page poster about the boy with the bubble gun thing fighting monsters, I remember having something like that for the PS1, it was one word... maybe N-something?
I'm afraid that's not it, thanks for trying.

The one big difference between Armagetron and the game I played, is the levels (Armagetron is on a flat plain where as this game had structures and was inside an enclosed space, separated into 5 areas like a cross). There were also powerups and the trail behind the bikes had to be activated for a few seconds. It's probably about 8 years old now.

I would be amazed if anyone knows what it is.

I had completely forgotten about that game! I fucking loved it! It was the first game I ever bought with my own money, and I could not tell you how many times I beat it.

Must...check....PSN...

In the mid 90's I played a sidescrolling beat-em up with mythological creatures, inspired by greek/roman/european mythos. You weilded a badass sword and the whole shebang. It was also pretty hard.

But there was a twist. Not only is it a sidescroller, but it has a Sim City/Civ section where you help restore the kingdoms and uncover dungeons and help the people clear the land and defend them from monsters (sometimes they kidnap people).

I cannot remember the name, at all, please, halp :(

Edit: It was for the Super Nintendo.

I have no idea about the OP's.

Mine is some game, I swear i know the name. It was some game, i only remember using the multiplayer, it wa son the old PS1. You took control over some sort of car/war machine and tried to kill the other guy... Thererwas something like a leveling system like Defcon 1/2/3/4 or something like that...
Did you have different teams, like army grunts, futuristic gimpy hipsters etc and each one had a different style of tank, they were alot faster than normal tanks though
you had like 3 weapons(laser, bullets and rockets if i remember correctly) and had to destroy generators?

Mine is a game i got with the Sega Saturn on the Demo disk, i think i remember tomb raider being on the disk too but im not sure, basically you were a wind up toy of some kind (think your a soldier) and everything was really big, those kids building blocks with the letters on were everywhere and you had to collect eggs or something
Edit:It was clockwork night, suddenly have the urge to buy a Sega Saturn

Think it was for the PS1, the character you played was basically Xena the Warrior Princess. Only thing I remember other than that is the first levels boss. Very vague details. Fighting a huge crocodile or something that was underneath a seaplane. I THINK that is what was happening, sime kind of huge seamonster...if anyone has any ideas then you would answer a question that has plagued me for years...

I remember playing a fantasy strat game. There were two maps representing two dimensions (faerie and the real world?), hero units, and a magic "tech" tree.

It did some really clever things, and I keep bringing it up whenever people in my circle start talking about strat games, but I can't remember the name.
Sounds like Master of Magic [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master_of_Magic]. There are very few "magical" strategy games and MoM is the one with two distinct worlds (Arcanus and Myrror), as opposed to the usual 'surface' and 'caves' layers, as seen in Age of Wonders.

There's this 2D side-scroller (Like castle crashers or battletoads) Where you are a guy in the jungle with a net trying to capture monkeys. (No, it's not monkey island... I don't think.) There's a chance for your net to break, and you can't capture monkeys anymore...

It's like a 2D version of Ape Escape for the PS1. WHAT WAS IT???

Does anyone remember an old top down RPG type game. All I can remember of it is that there was a tiny thumbnail of a girl called a Nymph lying on her front nude on grass. The other memory is that there was a crypt on the map that I traveled to to find Undead inside, then killed them.
The game was displayed in a top down view a lot like Heroes of Might and Magic III.

It was an old DOS game. I can only remember it vaguely. Okay, it was pretty simple. Just a royal blue-ish background. There was a small yellow (I think) ball which could only move forward/back and hop. You had to move across the screen to the finish. You moved over small thin white lines. I do remember there is one level where all the white lines are invisible and you have to just keep trying different things to move around. Anyone?

Okay, I made an account just for this thread. If you help me find it I will totally be your love slave forever. Me and my dad played this together when I was younger, It would mean a lot to me if you found it. What I remember about this game was it was on the PS, about graphics it had crappy PS1 graphics(I don't remember much about them). It didn't have that much of a story..more like escape to the end sort of game, but i'm not completely sure. Now about the things I kinda remember, it was a top down shooter. The characters you played were purple(first player) and green (second player). You used the triangle button to shoot forward/up and the X button to shoot back/bottom. You could shoot hostile vehicles and "become" them when they turn red.All I remember of the vehicles were tanks but there were plenty more. Besides the vehicles are hostiles there were these creatures. I remember one as a purple lobster sort of thing. And one level had a timer to escape after you had planted some bombs(I kept getting lost at that part and dying). That's all I remember of that game and as I said I would be extremely happy if you found it for me, sorry for all the grammar mistakes.

I once lended a SNES game from a friend. Top down, fantasy-ish setting. One of the first bosses was a swine of a boar of some sorts and if you defeated it an angel of some sorts would appear, and I believe one of the areas in the game was a mine. I never completed it before I gave it back, but it was pretty awesome. But I do not recall it's name! :(

Update: Found it, after a search through a SNES rom site with thumbnails. It was called 'Young Merlin'.

Alright, 2 games for your reckoning...

First was a space civ sim. You had your race and there were other races you could diplomacise with. I remember one of the other races looked a bit like a sandwich... I remember you could build ships, and you first decided the size of the ship, and filled up the ships slots with engines and weapons and shiz, so you could fill it full of engines and have it mega fast or have no engines and all weapons for a really slow gun platform style thing. Also the only way to travel between systems was by wormhole, but you could set up wormhole blocks or something...
EDIT: And it was turn based! I think. Well it might have been. Probably?
P
It sounds a bit like "Pax Imperia" which is a space civ where you can build your own ships. It isn't turn based though, but you can only move through systems true a wormhole and you could create your own race.

It was a PS2 rpg, about a boy I think being possessed by some shadow creature. It had a really distinctive art style.

Does anyone remember a game for Sega Genesis that had a blue ninja? I remember the first level the walls were blue stone and you jumped on to little ledges on the wall. Also, there were little lanterns that you collected and that helped you somehow. I have been trying to remember the name, but I'm at a loss. Anybody know what its called???

Played this game for like.. Atari maybe? I was this wall, and my friend was another wall, and we sorta tried to play catch with a pixel, and whoever couldn't catch it lost.

Don't remember anything else.
