I got one.

I had it on the GB, but there may have been console versions as well. You controlled a submarine, and you moved horizontally through the sea. You could fire torpedoes and use your sonar. Your sonar was used to discover new areas. In these areas, you controlled a completely different type of water vehicle, and sometimes were just diving as yourself. Each vehicle had different weapons and such. The goal in each area was to collect all the oil cans (If I remember correctly) and then return to the entrance, where you would return to your submarine.

I remember it being bloody difficult, but it has been many years since I played it.

Mine was on the PS1.
It was a game similar to pokemon. Go out, catch monsters, make em fight each other. Except this had a good story and the monsters didn't suck(yes I went there).
It was all in 3d.
You could fuse the monsters you caught, making anything from pterodactyl turtles, to salamander cats
The story had something to do with your father leaving(i think) the village(which is located in a forest if I remember correctly) and you go out to search for him?
There is also a mysterious masked guy who kicks the crap outta you the first time you met him.
Man, I just can't remember the damn name!

Apart from the "turning into an older version of yourself", it sounds exactly like Mystical Ninja: Starring Goemon. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mystical_Ninja:_Starring_Goemon] it was one of the most awesome games for N64.
Excellent! That's the one alright. The "older version of yourself" thing must have just been a slight mishap in the memory...it was about 9 years ago when I played it. Thanks! Now I can look into attempting to a aquire a copy.

It was a demo I played on the PC, we're talking well over 10-15 years ago here. It was in 3D and it was set in like a Japanese village surrounded by water (if you went too far into the water you'd drown), your character was male, wearing a blue floor-length tunic and you had like a little black ponytail coming off the top of your head.

The village you started in had doors to the other levels, one of which was a haunted castle type level.

I also remember that it would rain in the level.

I know that it was a sequel cos I distinctly remember the '2' but can't remember the title. Anyone?

Okay so i remember this game very vaguely but i remeber it so vividly at the same time but anyways here it is.
You were like a Wizard guy or atleast you wore wizard robe. The very first part of the game i think is getting the robes which is in a house which is locked. and when you get the robes it's like the game starts. You are on an island i think or atleast close to the sea my memory goes blank here. I think you find a way of there and end up in the desert some how. I remember clearly though that you had this buggy which you could drive around in. I also mind that there was this room that was like all stars around you and no floor i got stuck there i think.
this game has cartoonish graphics possible game made early 21 century possible Before that not to sure PLEASE HELP
Thanks.
I think I just made a post about this game - was the main character wearing a floor-length blue thing with a black ponytail sticking out the top of his head? And he sort of skipped when he walked?

Alright, 2 games for your reckoning...

First was a space civ sim. You had your race and there were other races you could diplomacise with. I remember one of the other races looked a bit like a sandwich... I remember you could build ships, and you first decided the size of the ship, and filled up the ships slots with engines and weapons and shiz, so you could fill it full of engines and have it mega fast or have no engines and all weapons for a really slow gun platform style thing. Also the only way to travel between systems was by wormhole, but you could set up wormhole blocks or something...
EDIT: And it was turn based! I think. Well it might have been. Probably?
Stardock's galatic civ one or two maybe?

I have a game too
released for pc before 1996
you played as a ball
the objective of it was to travel between three lanes of platforms while the ball itself moved forwards
and it was set in space?

Man, I just can't remember the damn name!
For some reason this is making me think of Jade Cacoon. Or Azure dreams if the part about the forest is wrong (its in a desert).

Tiny Tank?

Mine is this game where you were in some sort of mansion. (psone btw) There was this guy chasing you so you had to set traps like boulders and arrows.

There was this one game that I played on the N64 for one night. I'm pretty sure it was an RPG. You woke up in a prison and you played in first person perspective. You had to escape by getting out through the gutters. That's all I remember, I played it for about an hour then fell asleep. My mom had to take it back the next day and I never saw it again. In hindsight, the beginning was almost exactly like Oblivion. Only it was for the N64.

Any ideas?

The only JRPG I only liked, because it was Pokemon, but than with Nightmare Fuel-like monsters.

You were this really annoying kid (JRPG, y'know...) who had to save the world from destruction (because, y'know... JRPG) by catching monsters (because... well... JRPG, y'know...) which you could subsequently and mysteriously morph with one another. You could train the beasties, and they'd get better and more powerful and, ultimately, you'd save the world. I vaguely remember there being a scantily-clad lady (JRPG.) who in the west would either be jailbait or 'totally asking for it (JRPG.)

I don't remember the name, nor was it that impressive. But man, to the little boy that was me, it was like Pokemon for... well... people who were no longer little boys. Of course, looking back it was vastly inferior to Pokemon.

Still, had some great times with that game. Oh, and the best critter (at least, it was in my memory) was the first critter you could catch (does that remind you of a certain anime based on a certain... JRPG?)...
Sounds abit like Jade Cocoon on the PS1

Whoops just read down abit nevermind

Anyway's my game i can't remeber the name of is... you play as lots of different toy's doing different missions (like one where you race, and another where you put out forest fires)and there where like 5 or 6 "chapters" and at the end of each one there was a boss fight that you could skip if you wanted and if you defeated the boss you'd get to use him in the final fight

Oh! I do remember two! I hope someone can help me find them again, because I do seem to remember they were a lot of fun.

The first one was this dinosaur game, for the PS1, where you control a little dinosaur (can't remember if it was scrolling sidewards or not, and you would run around eating smaller dinosaurs, and trying to avoid being eaten or shot by humans... Anyone ever played it?

(Also, if it is such an easy title to remember, like "Jurassic Park " I'll laugh)

The other one I was thinking of was this game on a handheld console, can't remember which, but I am quite certain it was not a gameboy, and you would control a dinosaur (again, with the large reptiles) or another monster thing (possibly a bear) and fight each other on a platform...

If you remember either, would you mind telling me the name and where to find it?

That second one sounds like Primal Rage. But it could have been a Godzilla game too.

Was the first one like a platformer or was it top down?

OK; It was a wild west arcade shoot'em up (rail shooter) from the 80's where you played the deputy and you job was to cover the sheriff.

The sheriff would walk through the area and you had to shoot what ever NPCs came at the sheriff; Eventually a boss would pop out and you had to shoot them and claim the reward.

I never got the name of it BUT it was my favorite for as long as the corner store had it!
When you say rail shooter, you mean with a light gun right? If so, sounds like Mad Dog Mcree.

I used to play a game when I was really young. It was on Windows 3.1 or perhaps even DOS.
I believe it was an Indiana Jones game, but for the looks it didn't really matter. You played as a 16(?) bit guy with a whip. You have to kill purple(?) dudes, flying flamepuking heads and bats while traversing ladders. In the 2th or 3rd level you have to ride a minecart in a insanely fast and difficult level. I always died there =(.

I wonder what that game was called, nostalgia's playing up.
EDIT: I seems it's an uglier version of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom for Arcade and NES.
