There was this game for Nintendo 64 in which you played chameleons. At the beginning of the game, you would pick one (they all had different colours, and I remember the yellow one having a sad look on his face).
You could do various things with your long tongue (no, not THAT kind of things), for example, attach it to a pole between two grounds, so you could swing around it and land on the other side.

Another game, also for N64:
I don't know what you played, but I think it was a worm or something alike. After loosing your memory and falling into a coma, the game begins with you walking around in your own head. Your head kind of was the game menu. Depending on how many levels you solved, there was an indicator for how smart you were, I remember being "As smart as toast" after finishing one. During those levels, you could also find something special to eat (I think it was popcorn) which made you a muscle man, basically.

Are you thinking of Earthbound (a.k.a Mother 2)?

What console what is on? Describe the main character and other features of the game.

As for me, it was a Spiderman game I think. For a very old console, and I distinctly remember the first bosses being 3 cheerleaders with hair they whip around and a larger (not giant, but absurdley tall) cheerleader after that who also uses her hair.

I swear I'm not making this up.
Spiderman: Separation Anxiety. I remembered this game as well, took me forever to find it, but I finally did. Yeah, those cheerleaders were really weird.

I played a demo of a game I really liked on my old mac. I think it was in the mid to late 90s. You moved around a creepy train station in a first person perspective. I think you had to click everywhere, so it was like Myst. It was done in that old timey Bioshock-esque art deco style and everything was clean and new looking, but there was barely anyone around. Eventually you find some old timey binoculars which then go into a briefcase that had a foam interior with outlines of all the other stuff you were going to collect. You eventually find a way to get on the train and the demo ends. Not knowing the title of the game is driving me nuts. I always wanted to try the full game.

There was this game for the PC that I played, god knows how long ago. It was kind of like an RTS, but you controlled a single hero directly, who was kinda like a summoner who built like altars to make more creatures, and then commanded them. The game wasn't 2d, and it was fairly difficult. All I remember is that your character is speaking from the future, telling a story to someone else, and there are these gods who you have to perform tasks for. During the missions you could be given the option to do the other god's bidding, and effectively switch sides for the mission. One of the defining features for me was that when you lost your character would suddenly stop the story from the future and say "But that's not what really happened."

After that the game would rewind to before the mission, and give you another chance to choose which god to work for. Unfortunately my dad got rid of the game because he thought I didn't like it any more (I was young so I wasn't very good at it, as a result I got frustrated and stopped playing), and to be fair to him, he was kind of right.

But yeah... that's mine.

I didn't read the other 7 pages so mine is either painfully obvious or rather obscure.

It was an arcade game around in the mid 90's. I think I used to play it a lot when I was on holiday in Spain. You controlled a little guy with a yo-yo and the artwork was similar to Metal Slug but bigger. As I recall, it was pretty much just a Streets of Rage style sidescrolling beat 'em up, the only difference being you did all your attacks with a yo-yo.

I've never been able to remember what it was called, but I imagine it was something stupid like Yo-Yo's Bizarre Adventure.

This one has been bothering me for years. It's an old PC game from back in the DOS days. Pretty sure it was an EA release.

The game is set in feudal Japan. You play as some low level nobility and start of with a small piece of land. You have to manage the resources on it and build up an army to either conquer the neighboring lands or intimidate them into an alliance. If you're having some trouble with one area you can hire a ninja to kill their leader. You actually control the ninja in a sword fight. If you win then taking over that land is easier as the leadership has been weakend but if you loose there's a chance for an instant game over if it's found out you hired a ninja. Various other random stuff to assist in taking over and ultimate goal is to rule all of Japan. It was very simliar to a game called Centurian: Defender of Rome.

What do you mean by animorph? Changing into animal form?

If so, Bloody Roar comes to mind.

Nope.

The abilities were magic, not psychic, and the battle screen showed both your party and the enemies.

Wasn't Chrono Trigger, either.

Yes! Thank you, I last played it in 2001, awesome game. Complicated in the control scheme, but now that I look back, I realize that I just wasn't used to it. Too bad it didn't do well commercially, I would have liked a sequel to see what it would become.

Oh man, about 5 years back or so my friend played this RTS where you were sort of underwater and there was three factions, some squidlike, human, and some other that were fighting to control mineral areas and whatnot under the sea. I'm not sure what the game was, or if that's even correct, but dang did my friend school me many times over in that game.

Submarine Titans might be a good bet for this one.

Dang! You are right! I googled it and the first image shown was a dead giveaway. Thanks friend. I may not play it since it's a little bit dated and I'm unfamiliar with it now, but it brings peace to that question. Also, nerf those squid creatures, they always beat me in that game.

Thank you!

The second one was an Earthworm Jim game? I remember the protagonist looking different... oO
But that's probably just my memory being screwed up.
Anyway, thanks.
