I've never found and RTS game or Fighting Game that hasn't irritated the bejeesus out of me.

Games ported to, rather than written for, the Wii.

And I *really really* want to like the Lego games but I can't for some reason... mind you I've only played them on a Wii so...

Alot of you have named stuff that I can't stand and I can't point to any one game in particular but I would have to go with games that are more movie than game. If I get 5 mins of combat and then 30 mins of movie every time forget it. Some of the Final fantasy's were like this and there are others that do it as well. I didn't buy or rent the game to watch a movie I bought/rented it to PLAY.

Karaoke Games (like Sing Star and other crap like that)

I mean, come on, public humiliation turned into a game? Seriously?

Also, I fail to see the point in Music games (like Guitar Hero... or whatever) in general. I don't understand the point of button mashing in the combination of standing like a kid with a plastic guitar ruining a perfectly good song.

Also, most games with turnbased combat deserve to burn in hell.

I would have to say any Star Wars game. Even the lego ones, altough fun are so stupid. Also i do not like Gran-turismo games, to much realist, i like being able to accelarate from 0-200 in 5 seconds.

Halo 3, Call Of Duty, WoW...
That's about it at the moment.
Worst. Games. Ever.

Edit: On second thoughts, WoW isn't all bad. I just had a bad time on it when I first played. I also hate that some people dedicate their lives to it, bit sad, but that's more down to the people than the actual game, I guess. One of my friends had his relationship destroyed because of WoW, which I find quite amusing and very very sad at the same time.

also, adding Mirrors Edge to the shitlist. Hate.

I hated Mirror's Edge with a passion when it was released; I ranted enough about it back then and then returned it to Gamestop.:p
However, I decided to rent it this week to see if my disappointment was just due to not getting my money's worth (it IS undeniably short) and also give the time trials a fair chance.

Guess what? I STILL hate it, and even more now. I found nothing new to like, the time trials made me realize just how small and limited the supposedly open and free levels really are and the "speed run" options of the levels have insanely unforgiving time limits, at least the two I completed.
Not to mention no checkpoints for the clock - one screw-up and you essentially have to restart which is great fun in a +10 minute level with some near blind jumps that mostly come down to luck due to insufficient controls.

Ah well, at least I managed to increase my gamerscore somewhat. I got 34 out of 44 achievements, so I *did* try quite hard to find some redeeming points.
I failed.:)

I dislike a lot of FPS games. And some sports games. I don't know if I have any outright hatred for a specific type of game though. Or any game for that matter. But that's probably because I can't think of any at the moment.

That is a simple question, that can be answered with three titles:

1) CoD4
2) GTA
3) WoW

And why do i hate them? CoD and WoW seems to make people who play them act more and more like they are in a kindergarten. CoD also brings out the worst in people, and they start cheating.
GTA is an ok game but i cant stand hearing from all the fans how awesome and absolutely good it is even if its only "ok".

I hate turn based games and I really don't think any amount of awesome story could excuse just how boring it is. Turn based games to me feel as if i'm watching a movie that has been broken up by random segments in which the main characters line up and shadow box with enemies. It feels like a genre that doesn't think i'm good enough to actually play because I might cramp its style by not being artistic enough.
I presume you mean like JRPGs, not like turn-based strategies, which are awesome. Like Civilization, X-Com, Space Empires.

Or poker.

I don't really like sports games. How many times can you milk a franchise that upgrades a player's stats by like a thousandth of a point? Turn-Based games, I don't mind much. I hate Final Fantasy though, again milking a franchise that is pretty much the same game with different story, characters, and maybe slightly different battle mechanics. They bore me to death. I don't get MMO's, the only one I like is Phantasy Star Online, but now it's only offline, but is still fun, mostly with friends. Realism, I just ugh, gross. I look outside, I see green grass, blue sky, houses that aren't gray. Realism: grey (which one's right?) and brown. Most fighting games, I liked SSBM, but I think Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat should stick to the arcades. FPS, if it makes an attempt to be different, okay. But Halo, was I supposed to get what's going on from just playing the third one all the way through at a friend's house? I guess you need to play the other games to get the story.

I usually hate turn-based combat in any game. For melee combatants, this usually comes down to: jump towards enemy, hit enemy, then (for some idiotic reason) jump back to starting position. For magic users this comes down to: select spell, wait, wait some more... wait some more, wait, wait, and now for something completely different, wait some more. This system of combat always struck me as unrealistic and BORING in video games because, take the magic user casting a spell for example; a magic user could start casting a spell, and the casting animation could take up to 45 minutes (I wish I was kidding). During which time, my opponents were sitting there, waiting patiently and obligingly as my mage was setting up to banish them to hell or whatever. I would have thought that my opponents would have had the presence of mind to try and stop me from doing this, or at the very least, to run their soon to be molten asses as far away as possible. Instead they just stood there picking their noses and ordering a pizza (which would have been delivered and eaten in the time it was taking my character to cast this bloody spell). So far, Fallout 3 is the only game that implements turn-based in a way that makes sense and is rather enjoyable.

Also, I think Halo sucks.

Call of duty 4 multiplayer, I SAID MULTIPLAYER..
Let me get this straight, Call of Duty 4 singleplayer is great. It has great drama and great gameplay. Now the multiplayer fucked things up. It's way too mainstream! Any person could pick the game up and after one week of playing be apparantly good at the game, it requires very little skill whatsoever. Also, the weapons you unlock way outclass the ones you start with, I'd pick the Barrett over the m40 any day..

That said, if it were to have at least a bit of difficulty and would reward camping a LOT less, it would be good. (And also tweak the perks!)

Pretty much any game that has been watered down for the mass of casual gamers that have fallen on the gaming industry in the last couple of years.

I think I like all genres. Not a huge fan of FPS, but I'm pretty sure that's more because I'm terrible at them than because they're especially bad. I guess what I don't like in games are tutorials that seem to believe this is your first game ever and most go over every excruciating detail for you. Worse still are the kinds of games that need these kinds of instructions. Keep this up for too long and odds are I'll turn the game off before the going can get good. But maybe one day I'll return to it. ... Or not.

I don't hate, baby.
