Bioshock. I love the game, but it isn't as amazing as people made it out to be. I'm a sucker for atmosphere, and that's the best that it had going for it.

Call of Duty: Black Ops. So many people are excited for it's release and they aren't paying attention to all of the warning signs that it's going to be a bad game. Since Treyarchs ONLY achievement is that they made a good zombie mini-game instead of an actual good game, idfk, you'd think someone would realize that they just suck at making games.
I'm sick of hearing about how amazing and deep Silent Hill 2 is. Sure its inteligent in its design, but at the time of playing it I didn't recognise the monsters as sexual repression and loathing towards personal attachments etc, and I doubt that anyone but a few pompus port swillers did either. However it became cool for reviewers, journalists and the gaming community to pick up on these points and use them as credentials to prove there inteligence and impecable gaming taste, besides the fact they they only know the subtle messages because the next person in line told them it. Enough already. Silent Hill: The Room had a better story and Silent hill 1 was more frightning. Stop pretending to be a clever. You don't need a copy Jung's theory of primordial imagary to play a game. /rant
Fable 1, yes i know Fable was good, and Fable 2 was utter shit, and yes I've been told Fable 3 was more of the same, but retrospectively making something better than it is and was because something that came after it was shit doesn't make any sense.

I'm annoyed by this too. Have you noticed how everyone in this thread (well, almost) is nominating games like Halo, Call of Duty and Mass Effect... when they are hated beyond belief on these valve-worshipping forums? used to be bioshock, then it is mostly halo and world of warcraft. god, i hate that ************.
Most Final Fantasy games, they're good but not that bloody good. Yeah VII was excellent but the rest of them to me are meh.
