Final Fantasy 7, I just don't think it's good... in any way shape or form...

No it was NOT the best in the series. Infact, it was one of the worst I think.
And I am fed up with people calling FFX crap, the only argument they ever seem to say is 'His laugh is like a seaguls.' it was supposed to be faked!!! Weren't you listening to the dammed scene?!

Now, do tell why FF7 was one of the worst Final Fantasy's.
Modern Warfare 2 spent 3/4 of it's $200 million budget on advertising. From a financial viewpoint, it certainly worked.THEJORRRG said:Because they are marketed well.Mordwyl said:Popular games are popular for a reason.
Because combat was awesome, also Auron.Garak73 said:Tenth playthrough of FF 10? Now, FF7. FF7 was the first game I ever owned, I was one at the time. Do you know how long it took me to beat it? A week. I'm not even joking. The characters were unlikable and it started the whole emo protaganist thing that people say JRPGs are riddled with today. And the combat was infuriatingly bad and so easy. It's far from being the worst FF (FFX-2 takes that trophy) but it gets so much undeserving praise.
You get no world map to explore, it's on rails as much as XIII is.
You've gotta be kidding me. Zero replay value? That is simply not correct. Would you say the same thing, then, about every game ever that has an ending? "Why would I wanna play it again? I've already seen the ending."I.E.D. said:Mass Effect 1 & 2. Zero replay value.
Your words make me wonder if you've actually played the game. In FFVII Cloud had some problems, but in case you forgot they were COMPLETELY LEGITIMATE. Emo heroes are the kind that angst for no damn reason, not people who found out their entire life and memories are lies. Then there's the whole thing about how his friend/girlfriend got murdered, and really it makes sense that he'd be depressed. And the fact that, at the end, he still gets better is astounding. I won't comment on VII's combat system, merely point you at VIII's and say "That could have happened instead."Fallen-Angel Risen-Demon said:Now, FF7. Uh, he didn't hate his Dad he hated the fact he couldn't be as good as him. Have you finished the game? The last thing you see is Tidus giving his dad aCJ1145 said:Your words make me wonder if you've actually played the game. As for X, while you may not like Cloud I HATE Tidus for reasons beyond his laugh. First of all, his damn ugly mug. There's something about his face that just repulses me in every single way, and I don't know what. There's also his self-absorbed behavior; "This is my story" indeed, you freeloader. I also don't understand the total hatred for his dad. Sure he was a dick, but it sounded to me like Tidus would have cut the guy if he had the chance, and that baffles me.
Wakka was cool, but his accent was simultaneously offensive and poor. A waste of a good John DiMaggio if you ask me. Oh, and Seymour? The worst and most flamboyant of all Final Fantasy villains, somehow. I mean, it's not like there's a shortage of entrants to such a contest, but when you beat out Kuja you know you need to step back and take a look at yourself.
The combat was slightly better than VII. Slightly. But the plot was "meh" inducing and never made me feel as much as its predecessor IX.
