A couple of games I once had on disc I've rebought on Steam as I convert what basically amounts to my entire collection to digital distribution. But three times? Can't say I've ever done that.

I've only ever bought a game twice at max. And that would have been Duke Nukem. Once, when I was a little kid, and the other when it came out on GoG.

I'm gonna have to buy Fable for the third time. The first when it came out, the second when The Lost Chapters came out, and now a third time because I lost my copy when I moved (was not happy to discover this).

Bejeweled. On every phone I've had I've been duped into buying that phone's version of it. Just because that game comes in handy on long bus rides or other occasions when a book is not available.

Though I do suppose I get my money's worth from those them. And my latest phone has Android OS so there were tons of free versions of Bejeweled or Solitare to go around that would occupy my time

I never repurchase anything, unless it's shoes and I've worn the soles out.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

1st I bought a PC CD with the first 4 title games, because I never owned a SEGA but I loved those games.

Then, I bought Sonic Mega Collection for the Gamecube.

Finally, I found a Old Genesis at a convention. Bought it and a copy of Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

That makes three.

I broke 2 copies of Radiata Stories in the span of 2 days, and went back to buy a third.

I also bought and traded in Champions of Norrath twice.

(Does buying a game twice count? I obviously doesn't, given the subject, but the other posters say otherwise.)

Team Fortress 2- Once for the Orange Box for the Xbox 360 and once for the PC because of the ridiculous $2.50 Halloween sale on Steam.

Borderlands(Loved it that much)- When my Xbox scratched my disk of Borderlands, I went out and bought a brand new one. ($40 at Target compared to $35 used at Gamestop, rather not take the chance)

Most I've ever bought a game was twice and that was Sonic Mega Collection. I lost the first copy, dunno how. I think a friend borrowed it and never gave it back... Anyway, that's all I got. Never done a three-peat

I remember buying the original Paper Mario twice, or maybe 3 times? I got it, and played it, and it was fun. After I had moved on, I sold it. A few months later I realized I wanted to play it again, and bought it again. I also think I might have lost it, and could have bought it again when I went around various Gamestops trying to buy up the last of the N64 games before they stopped having them en masse.

I bought LoZ: Ocarina of Time for the 64, the gamecube, and plan to buy it for the 3DS.

I enjoy that game far too much...

Yeah, only one game falls under this category for me:

Chrono Trigger.

My original copy on the SNES was "misplaced" by a friend of mine, so I had to buy a second one. Then then DS remake came out, and I was unable to resist.

I mean, this and Super Mario RPG kinda shaped my gaming tastes into what they are today, so I have many warm fuzzy feelings for them both.
