Games you've bought 3 times?

I bought Zelda: Spirit Tracks twice, gifts for two people

The only two games I can think of that I've bought three times or more are Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 and the original Sonic the Hedgehog. I really have to admit, I never thought it would be those two games.

Fallout 1.
First time off a friend who hated it. (I know, right?)
Second time because the disc broke in a cat climbing shelves incident.
Third time because it came with a Fallout bundle pack.
Never once regretted any of those purchases.

Half-life 2 and Episode 1 twice, but only because of The Orange Box (and actually i got HL2 and EP1 as a gift so i guess it doesn't count)

technically I didnt "buy" it 3 times, but I have owned 3 seperate copies of elder scrolls 4. first two discs came scratched to hell which was unusual since I bought the second one new (first was pre-owned so yeah)

Portal, but once it was free so it doesn't really count. The other two times where The Orange Box and on XBLA.

But really, my answer is Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire, starring Dash Rendar FTW.

Bought it once. Traded it to a friend with a couple of games for something or other.

Later traded Perfect Dark to some idiot for Shadows of the Empire and Ocarina of Time.

Then traded it in for Paper Mario 64...Then I bought it again last year for ten bucks.

That game got around more than something that gets around.

There's a few I bought twice.

King's Quest V & VI I had when I got them again on a compilation.
Ocarina of time I have on the N64 and Gamecube
Majora's mask I have on the N64 and Wii
Tekken 5 I bought NTSC and PAL (the second for my son)

I've bought some games more than 3 times, though the only one that was 3 exactly was Mass Effect 2.

On the same day.

Which was release day.

Long story.

Now I'm curious.

No, never. I have bought Warcraft III: Frozen Throne twice, but only because I only broke the first one. Well, also because I loved that game. I spent so much time on battle.net playing custom games.. My brother and I once bought NBA 2K9 on the same day... Communication helps. Don't waste that $49.99.

I purchased Riven six times by accident...

...and the third, fourth, and sixth "purchases" ended up GIVING me money. So I technically got it for free.

It's a longish and stupid story involving the worst debit machine evar.

Nope, as I have only one platform. It would be kinda dumb to re-buy a game for the same platform when I already own them.
But one game I would gladly buy 10 times would be The Void.

I own 4 copies of Thief, the Metal Age.
3 copies of Thief, The Dark Project.
3 copies of Splinter Cell.
2 copies of SC Chaos Theory.
2 copies of SC Conviction
3 copies of Deus Ex
... and none of those copies were bargain purchases. Well, except one Deus Ex off STEAM. The rest was purchased while the games were still new or at least relatively new.

Why? I don't rightly know. Some are Collectors Eds that I bought later. Some (the Thief purchases) were just made to get my hands on the boxes which are still sitting on my bookshelves...

i bought puzzle quest for psp, xbla, and ipod touch. Thats the only one i bought 3 times. Its very addicting.

I also bought cod4 and mw2 twice, one of each on xbox and ps3.

I got 4 copies of Diablo 2... what can I say it's just THAT good!

Same here 3 copies of the origional, and 2 copies of the expansion.

I also currently own 4 copies of FF6. 2 for the Snes (both still work), FF anthology for PS and FF6 Advance for the GBA.

I've never bought a game more than once. Partly because I take very good care of my discs, but also because I don't exactly have alot of cash to throw around to buy a game twice.

Ocarina of Time. i had the N64 version, the ones that comes with Wind Waker (which also has the Master Wuest) and the collectors edition which had the original LoZ, Link's Adventure, OoT and MM.

Huh. Well this is going to make me feel really old... but...

When I bought Doom II the first time, it was on five 3.5' disks.

Then I bought it again when it came out on CD.

When I lost that CD, I got the CD version again.

I then bought the Windows 95 version some years later.

I then learned about source ports and since it was cheap, got it again.

Then finally, steam had it and I was feeling nostalgic and during a Christmas super-sale I got it again.

Six times buying Doom II.
