Gaming is truly a waste of time

Same with watching TV and reading a book. And hanging out with friends. Pretty much everything in life that is fun is a waste of time.

I dont see how gaming is anymore of a waste of time than anything else, Life for example, Theres no real POINT of living but everyone does it, Some may argue that we live to mske future generations lives easier, but what happens when they die?! This is pretty much my thoughts. If everything is a waste of time... Might as well enjoy time while the clock goes by... Were all dying, eventually were all going to be dead and it's only a matter of time until it happens... So while I'm on this sweet planet I'm going to have as much fun as I can... Video games, movies and for of escapism is fun to me... So let me enjoy my life.

Heck you know what I think a waste of time is?. Working all your life at the same job every day until your 60 only to retire knowing you've done nothing but work all your life. Go to work at 5 in the morning, get back at 5 in the evening, put The Simpsons and Hollyoaks on, watch some other boring programs, go to bed at 9 to get up in the morning, rinse and repeat. That for 60 years.

Life's short, enjoy it while you can.

Sorry, I don't want to insult you, but it's true. Art is absolutely vital to a culture for many reasons, and video games are art. Thus, they are far from a waste of time.

While I only believe one of the above statements the other 2 are opinions I have heard more than once in my life.

The point? Opinions are simply that. Our view on matters one way or the other and EVERYONE has an opinion on EVERYTHING.

My view? There are far bigger wastes of time in the world though I've certainly never considered gaming to be a waste of my time because if I enjoy it, then it's not a waste of my time.
