Trophies that are just stupid, if it enhances the game experience then fine but not one involving you getting through one area unseen or shooting ten guys with one bullet.
Those do get kind of annoying. I mean, 10 guys with one bullet? I can understand 3 guys with one grenade, but for the bullet thing they'd need to be standing in a row.

BTW...love the avatar
If anyone could, It'd be macgyver?

I don't really think anything should stop existing, there is always someone who likes a certain aspect of games that we will not agree with.

Having said that, QTE, regenerative health not consistent with story/world, DRM online activation/hardware-change-lockout and national censorship editions.
I have no doubt that MacGyver could kill 10 guys will one bullet, but he probably wouldn't. During the whole series (all 7 years of it) Mac only used a gun in the conventional way once, and that was during the pilot episode. He never kills except when he absolutly has to, and never uses guns due to a childhood accident that lead to the death of a friend. He did use a gun as a wrench and a hammer, though.

Anyhoo, I agree with the national censorship editions (he said while giving Michael Atkinson the EVil Eye). They really need to go.

Sonic the Hedgehog. And things being represented non-numericly.

For example, BF:BC and MAG display your health as a number, which is good. If they found a proper way to implement regenerating health, then why not.
A large portion of shooters, on the other hand, simply make the screen more red untill you die, which is bad. Same goes for ammo in your current clip and the amount of "sprint" you have at the moment.

I can sum it up in three words: World Of Warcraft. It is a blight on this earth and should go away forever and ever.

Game add on and expansion packs that should have been in the game in the first place. If your going to add something to the game, don't make us pay for it. Then whats worse is a few years down the line or a year later some times a new game of the same kind comes out and oh look, you have to buy the add ons to have it all. Fucking lame...Now I don't buy add ons.

]Escort missions must die. Painfully.
Oh my god yes, and its very close cousin the "follow me missions" I can think of one that is painfully boring, in Oblivion it's during a quest for the Fighter's Guild where that Dark Elf is walking around you are following him to a destroyed temple, been awhile forgot what the temples are called anyway... for this mission you must stay behind him, he will not run, he will only walk slower than a snail, if you get ahead of him he will stop and glare at you as if you're at fault. Get rid of these grr. >.<

Friendly fire on NPCs. AI is not at the point yet where that can be done right.

Escort missions. Why, oh why are these still in games?

Most defiantly the ones released on the same day as the actual game...
Defiantly... deviant? Deviantly? I feel weird now.
Yes... Defiantly.. It defies my will, that was definitely what I was saying... :)

DLC that is required to complete a title (Prince of Persia on PS3/360).

I do not think I've been more annoyed than to find out I just shelled out for a title to learn that I have to now spend ten bucks more to really see the end. Rarrgh Ubisoft, bad.

The same day ones yes, but without us paying for the DLC, we wont get the DLC to begin with, so im fine with paying for my mass effect add ons and what not.

Quick time events and puzzles that solve themselfs on the other hand need to fall in a well and die.

Pointless Gimmicks because of the hardware. (looking at you DS / Wii ¬_¬)
Yawn. There's nothing wrong with quick time events. It's only a problem if a game uses them improperly(or to make up for bad hardware). God of War basically invented QTE's(kind of) and it wouldn't be nearly as fun destroying greek god's without them.

edit:

I can no longer have a nice action hack'n'slash because half of the time I'm not doing anything, PRINCE OF EVENTS, I MEAN PERSIA.
Good example of QTE's done really, really badly.

Defend X from enemies coming from opposite/all sides.

I don't mind defending something if it's backs against the wall sort of thing but when I have to basically stand on whatever I'm supposed to be defending to defend it it becomes overly complicated and boring

Funny you should mention that, I JUST finished doing the defending part in Half-life 2 in Nova Propeckt. You only get 3 turrets for 4 door ways and they throw grenades and sometimes just rambo in and knock over targets, it got boring. I ended up standing in the lockers that house the turrets with a shotgun and blasting anything that ran into my view, it worked. =\

i dont think die but perhaps have the escort in a tank you are driving or atleast make them intelligent e.g hide behind walls and run but not into a mini gun after you etc.
