I made Fawkes do it. The game says he died, but that's utter crap seeing as radiation fucking heals him. Made even better by the fact that Broken Steel pretends that whoever went in to save the day made it out alive. Enough self inflicted amnesia and it works pretty well from there.Carlston said:Yeah the Cliche you have to die for the world crap gets old...thebobmaster said:The vanilla ending for Fallout 3. Thank god for Broken Steel, because that ending, quite honestly, ruined the game for me. What's the point of playing through for...that?
Some of the programmers need to grow up and just think about the people who want to keep wandering the wastes and think of a real creative good ending.
Yeah it did get a tad better after... course the whole "you were not strong enough to slaughter yourself." guilt trip probley appears instead of "you were smart enough to send the mutant in who eats rads like sugar smacks, good pick."Kajin said:I made Fawkes do it. Now now, that seems harsh. I agree with the initial sentiment of your post, though. Mirror's Edge did promise more than it delivered, and it ended up being on the disappointing end of the scale. With that said, there are good things about the game. It's just... well, pretty flawed.Angryman101 said:Mirror's Edge for me. The trailers looked so amazing, the kind of game that I had been looking forward to for so long...and then it just blew. I've never been as excited as I was for that game, and I was so crushed when it turned out to be bad that I've become jaded and bitter, not able to enjoy any of the games that I used to have fun with. It's gotten better, but, still, it was like getting cheated on all over again.
100% agreement here. HMM 5 was truly disappointing. The graphics aren't really better, seeing as the series has always relied on more cartoony styles. They're more advanced, sure. But they're also less visually appealing, and awkward to boot. The cutscenes were painful to watch. As for the gameplay, the game that used to be so easy to operate had suddenly became clunky and fiddly. I hated the camera controls beyond any measure. As for the rest, it's just... well, the same. So, they didn't improve anything, just mess a few things up, slapped a sequel title on it, and called it a day. Son, I am disappoint.DrMetal said:Heroes of Might and Magic 5... 3rd one was amaising, 4th one done things differently and was epic, with only complain is lack of random map generator. 5th one added nothing to the games, and did that pretty badly...
I never said the game was bad i just thought it had a lot more potential and at the time was being fairly hyped to be even greater then the first which i had greatly enjoyed.P.Tsunami said:I'm not gonna argue that it was rushed. What they were thinking was probably "the suits -have- to have this in stores for Christmas", since the release date (North America) is December 6. I'm guessing executive meddling had a lot to do with it. Still, I don't think it was too bad a game. Sure, the ending felt rushed, the HK-47 quest peters out to nothing, and there were bits and pieces that weren't properly done. Yet, I think it's a cool storyline, great characters, and an all around decent RPG experience. I suppose I just think people are being a bit too harsh on poor KotOR II. For me, it was a bigger experience than KotOR I, tell you the truth (and I love that game, too), despite it's flaws. Whenever the Sith Lords Restoration Projects is finished, it'll be epic, I'm positive.Jemurai said:kotor 2 what were they thinking releasing a game half finished
Edit: This gamespy article sheds some more light on the issue.

Alright, then we're actually in agreement. My apologies for being a little *****.Jemurai said:I never said the game was bad i just thought it had a lot more potential and at the time was being fairly hyped to be even greater then the first which i had greatly enjoyed.
It has been a while since i played but my main memories seem to be disappointment. Some bug with the return to Telos academy lost my a few hours which had to be replayed a major annoyance. Also the Peragus level which felt like is was more of a combat than a roleplaying game seemed to drag on for way too long before what i felt was the game really starting
Also i might of just of had a bad play through such as somehow annoying Anton early and missing all his side info. As well it had a bad ending experience.
Overall i rarely buy games with high expectations and i feel it was a letdown and since brought it for xbox i would have to rebuy for the restoration project
Reason i never put DoW 2 on my list, is because i heard enogth people say that it is a terrible game for me to not play it...JS ibanez said:dawn of war 2 giving us a game with less units and a campaign that recycles the same maps and objectives EVERY. That's pretty much the ending the game gave me.Carlston said:Yeah it did get a tad better after... course the whole "you were not strong enough to slaughter yourself." guilt trip probley appears instead of "you were smart enough to send the mutant in who eats rads like sugar smacks, good pick."
I'd like to take the other option and reward you with this:JEBWrench said:There is no conceivable way for me to respond to this thread without being called a troll, but what the Hell.
BioWare games. If I hear one more time about their epic story writing and amazing characters, hidden somewhere in all that dull gameplay...
Okay, everyone flame me.

"Someone has to push that button, NOW! The radiation will kill whoever does it, though. You should go push the button!"
"Wait, I have a better idea! My good friend Fawkes here is healed by radiation! Let's have him do it!"
"Good bye, friend, for I will surely die."
"Wait... Whut?"
Fawkes goes in and dies. Game guilt trips me over killing him
"I'm confused..."
