"Well that was creepy as hell. By the way ..."

Jack raised an eyebrow at the her. What was creepy? Oh well it didn't really matter.

"You met with Seth right? You didn't happen to ask what it is about my powers that's so dangerous to you did you?"

Jack mentally scolded himself for forgetting such an important detail. He sighed before saying. "No it wasn't brought up during our discussion. Though when he calls you in do ask him that for me." He turned away from Sierra and made his way over to the gym's storage closet and brought out a few dummies. He had been refining his techniques even before the club incident happened but in these past 3 days he thought he had figured out something new. Jack set up the dummy about 5 feet in front of him. He began grabbing as many shadows in the room as he could physically control. Which wasn't a huge amount, but it would be enough for what he planned. He channeled the shadows into one long and thing cylinder shape. He then sharpened and elongated the ends into a point. It hovered in the air just in front of his face. He used his makeshift shadow spear and hurled it at quite remarkable speeds. It easily impaled the dummy all the through. Satisfied with his current work he pulled the spear out.

He then separated the singular mass into five smaller pieces. Which he proceeded to shape into much smaller spears, it was more dagger sized now. He hurled the daggers at the dummy successfully impaling it with all five daggers. Jack allowed himself a small smile. Sure while in his natural form this was but a small feet. But this marked a new level of power and control for his human form. He repeated the process going faster in making the spear and daggers each time. Thus honing his control of the shadows.

"w-we can try it slow..at least.."

He really doesn't sound certain, maybe I'm pressuring him too much. Its no fun if he doesn't really want to do it after all, but then I'm not exactly the sort to turn him down. Well I'll go slow, give him time to back out if he wants to. It certainly wasn't her preferred way of going about things, but it wasn't as if she couldn't get a meal somewhere else relatively easily. No having him actually be relaxed and trusting of her was more important. If only slightly.

"Alright then, let's go," she said, leaning in and giving him a kiss on the cheek "And don't worry, we can stop anytime if you want to."

With that she helped him stand up and started leading him slowly to the bedroom by the hand.

Seth

Seth simply nodded as Viktor left, and pulled out his phone. The next in line for the meetings would have to wait till the ball got rolling on why such a critical piece of intel was overlooked. Even if it was a tight security issue and who ever transporting the sword was just being extra careful, he pays to many people to much for a relic of this caliber to go unnoticed and down played.

Sierra

"Sure thing" Sierra said as Jack looked to be setting up for a work out of his own. She didn't hang around and decided to go back to her room and get cleaned up, after that, she wasn't sure. Her mood was better so she guessed she'd just see what struck her as a thing to do.

10 minutes later

After a long talk on the phone with several of his contacts Seth could finally turn his attention back to sorting his team out. One toss of the dice later, he found him self heading out the door to speak to the Nymph of the group. Lenah wasn't difficult to find as there was only a few places on campus a Nymph like her would want to go. "Lady's." Seth said as he approached the pair. Mirabelle being there as well was interesting, and what with him waiting on a report, fortunate. "You won the dice roll this time Lenah, and since Mirabelle is here to, I'll just get you both done at once." Seth coming to a stop before the both of them.

While Sierra, now cleaned up and sitting at her enchanting table was working on one of her projects.

Leaving Seth to immolate whatever poor bastard screwed up, Viktor headed back to the gym to find Sierra; finding she?d left put him in a bit of a bind. Blast it girl, why couldn?t you stay put? He spent a few minutes pacing back and forth, wondering how he was going to track her down, when he stopped cold and smacked himself in the forehead. ?Christ you are think sometimes?? He muttered to himself. Sierra was a half-breed demon, her scent would be very unique, he could just track that.

Spending a few more moments pacing the gym to get a good mental ?image? of her, Viktor set off across the campus; her course requiring him to dart across patches of full sun, though fortunately with no lasting damage. Making his way to the female dorms, his presence caused a few stares?and at least one wolf whistle. Somebody needs to raise their standards. Following the scent trail to a dorm, he stopped in front of the door and knocked, before taking a half pace back.

"...you know, this is the first time i have actually been to this part of the campus. I usually stick to the Library, as you can guess, so i've rarely had a chance to actually come here..."

"That's a shame, we might have met earlier if you had," Lenah said, pondering aloud. "Especially since I love this place, it's very refreshing, and calm. Besides, it's the only place I know of I can be truly alone, even more so in the middle of the night. You should see it, it's filled with moonshine and dark shadows that seem to dance around," she chuckled, removing her shoes and socks so that she could sit in the grass with bare feet.

"Not that the library is a bad place, though, I have to admit studies is not among what I'm good at, but I've heard it's nice."

"So...how long have you come to this place?"

"The gardens? Probably from the day I started attending this college, earlier this year. I was drawn to it, so to speak. Do you like it?"

From the corner of her eye, she noticed someone approaching, and sat up a bit.

"Ladies. You won the dice roll this time Lenah, and since Mirabelle is here to, I'll just get you both done at once."

"Wouldn't you like to sit down, Mr. Guidance Teacher?" Lenah asked, smiling mischievously as she studied him. On one hand, he was pretty good looking. On the other hand, he gave off the feeling of having something more important to do.

Wonder what... he does look a little devious.

"So, what do you want to talk about?"

"Huh...i guess i should...", Mirabelle said, becoming snug inbetween the roots. In truth, she actually did want to see it with no doubt in her mind. She just hesitated for a moment because Lenah had mentioned that it was the only place she could be alone. Mira didn't want to to accidentally take that from her in her effort to get to know her better...still, tonight couldn't be too bad, especially since she had basically invited her. She just needed to limit how much she came here at night, which shouldn't be too hard if she was going to be doing the amount of catch up work and general studying that she suspected that she would.

"The gardens? Probably from the day I started attending this college, earlier this year. I was drawn to it, so to speak. Do you like it?

"Yeah, it's nice." She stated, remembering that she had asked a question. She chastised herself for forgetting so quickly...still, she forgave herself due to it being one of those moments where she was totally relaxed, having a nice conversation with a friend...

"Lady's. You won the dice roll this time Lenah, and since Mirabelle is here to, I'll just get you both done at once."

...and then that ended, as things are wont to do, as Mirabelle sat upright, though still seated, when she heard Seth's voice. True, she knew he would come to get them soon enough, she had just not suspected that it would be this soon...or was it later? It took her a moment but she did realize that she actually didn't know how long these personal interviews went, so she and Lenah could have been near the last on his list. Besides, all she needed to remember was to be careful of what she said, which shouldn't be too hard.

"Uh, okay...so, what did you want to speak with us about?"

Tomas

Tomas walk over to his discarded shoes from earlier and pick them up. Having dealt with the two beta's bullies, mostly beating up the one who was in charge. The other rarely lifted a finger as he listen to Tomas. 'I should watch myself or the next few weeks...don't think they will forget or even learn their lesson..' Tomas thought as he put on his shoes. Having his feet change back to their human appearance.

Standing up right after his shoes were put back on, he wonder what he should do now. He didn't want to leave the Campus as that one demon, Seth, would want to talk to him sooner or later. He rather do it soon and not have Seth tracked him down. Thats one person he does not want to anger. Deciding to head to the cafeteria to eat.

William

Will open his eyes as he stare at the ceiling. Wondering what happen as he sits up and look at the clock. 'its been ten minutes...w-where Juliet?' Will thought as he look around. Spying a note on the desk in his room as he picks it up. Reading it over as he sighs. He passed out again right before anything happen. Embarrassed as couldn't believe he did that again! "Darn it..." He said softly to himself.

Sitting in his room as he thinks over. He needs to take things even more slowly as his body just goes to defensive mode when things overwhelm him. He wonder how he can tackle this and overcome this major problem of his. Until a idea gets in his head. "I know!" he snap his fingers. "I'll ask Viktor for help. He full of confidence! I'm sure he'll make a great teacher!" Smiling at the thought. Maybe he could get over his many problems he has going on.

Seth

"Simple really, to get a better grasp on where you lot are with your over all ability's and what direction training should take to ether close weaknesses and build on what you already have." Seth replied. "Now, I have files with that give a run down of you ability's, and classes, and it would be easy enough to assign something that sounds right training wise. But I prefer to see where you all think training should focus and start there rather then just guess."

"So lady's if you would be so kind, do tell me about your selves."

Sierra

for a few seconds, nothing, then Vik could hear a light rumbling on the other side of the door and then the sound of the door nob turning and the door opened to, nothing, initally, then as the door swung gentally open a little further, there hovering in mid air was a stocky blue [http://www.mahq.net/mecha/gundam/0080/ms-18e.jpg] robot with one bright red eye. The Robot looked up at Vik then elevated it self to eye level with him "Huh, can't say I was expecting you to swing by, whats up? Seth want to see me next or something?" Sierra said, her voice coming from the robot.

Seeing the animated child?s toy floating in front of his face, Viktor nearly shot it out of reflex; the sound of Sierra?s voice coming from it stopped his hand before his gun cleared the holster.

"Huh, can't say I was expecting you to swing by, what?s up? Seth want to see me next or something?"

?No, actually he asked me to?? He said, tapering off as he spoke to the toy. ?Umm?can I come? Maybe speak to you face-to-face? I feel ridiculous standing here talking to a child?s plaything.? Ninety four years?ninety four years on this fucking planet, and THIS is the weirdest thig I?ve seen so far?

"Uh...", Mirabelle said, trying to think. In truth, she thought this would be more...interview-like? At the very least, she thought comments and concerns from her would be saved til later, after one was given the rundown on what the interviewers thought was, and where they thought she could improve. Still, it kind of made sense, it gave her the "opportunity" to reveal something about herself that her file didn't mention..and it gave them the chance to see how observant she was when it came to herself. The only problem was that she wasn't as prepared to talk about the subject as she would have liked...still, she had some battle experience, maybe she could pull some information from there...

Mira thought over on it for a few seconds before speaking up, her voice still a bit unsure and her mind trying not to reveal too much. "Uh, well...i guess the main things i need to improve are my defensive capabilities and combat skills. I mean, i already have a class to help improve my Alchemy skills but...outside of the cultist fight, i have not been in combat before...outside of a few hits that is. Uh...i guess you can already tell from your hologram cards but uh, i have no real strategy in a fight outside of grabbing and hitting someone with something (or someone else). If i could improve that, i think that would be a step in the right direction...

"The only problem i can see with that is...well, i can't decide whether i should first focus on learning techniques that use my strength effectively or learn techniques to counter my fragility, or try to cover both at the risk of not improving fast enough, especially while keeping up with my classes and experimenting with alchemy. Of course, i also want to learn how to effectively counter magic as well...i mean, i could probably ask Sierra to enchant me something but i don't want to just rely in that, just in case whatever item i am using to help me gets lost or taken."

Mirabelle went quiet for a moment more, wondering if she missed something. Soon enough though, she spoke up again, saying, "Uh, i think that is it...unless you have something that i have missed..."

Sierra snickered at Viktor's comment "Follow Kampfer the, and close the door." Sierra said through the Gunpla and turned it around, flying it back to her room, where she landed it on a table with another Gunpla in progress. Sierra her self was surrounded by holographic displays, all with various information about the Gunpla she'd been controlling, and holding on to a set of holographic controls. She was dressed how ever, in just a tank top and boxer shorts, and in her 'natural' form, clearly she'd not been expecting to have visitors. "So, what brings you here?"

"Follow Kampfer, and close the door."

Viktor rolled his eye at being order about by a toy, but complied. Following the plastic robot to where Sierra was, he laughed when he saw her; an Abyssal demon (even just a half-breed one) seemed out of place playing with human toy. He quelled his laughter as Sierra brought him back to his assignment.

"So, what brings you here?"

?Seth sent me.? He said, switching to his ?serious? mode. ?He wants me to work with you, says you?re a bit of a ?lone wolf?.? Holding up a hand, he stopped her before she could object. ?I have a pretty good idea of what you?re going to say. ?I can handle myself?, ?I know what I?m doing?, ?I don?t want to risk other people?, etcetera, etcetera. Believe me, I know all the excuses?I?ve used them myself.? Reaching up he took off his eye patch, showing off the scars on his face and the dark hole where is eye used to be. ?And I also have a pretty good idea of how badly things can go when the universe finally calls your bluff.?

Grabbing a nearby chair, he pulled it over and sat. ?Seth wants me to get you comfortable with the thought of actually working with a team, not just alongside one.? Putting the eye patch back on, he tapped his temple. ?It?s one thing to understand the need for teamwork here,? Moving he hand down, he tapped his chest over his heart. ?But it?s another thing to actually believe it here.? Sitting back he surveyed Sierra. ?Now won?t that be fun?? He added sarcastically.

Lenah listened to Mirabelle as she spoke about her training. In the meanwhile, Lenah tried to think of just what she wanted to train, and what was necessary. She had her magic abilities, her hunting abilities and her combat skills, yet she felt that there had to be a way to get to the root of those powers, enhance them and make them stronger, rather than to focus on something individually.

I do suppose my defence isn't the best.

And, she supposed her main power was a bit slow. As she made sure that Mirabelle was done -taking note of what the other thought would be necessary- she spoke, looking directly at Seth.

"Well, my powers are a little slow yet, and I don't really know how to defend myself. I think the main issue I should tend to is the fact that I don't know the extent of my powers, nor the core of them, if I could figure that out, I think I could deal with the other issues as well." She examined him, waiting for a reply, twirling her hair again.

Sierra

Sierra scratched an imaginary itch on her nose with her middle finger as Viktor laughed at her and her hobby.

She rolled her eyes when he got to why he was here though. "How about no." Sierra started "Firstly, I'm inclined to question how your even qualified to teach anyone about 'teamwork'. Besides," Sierra said as she turn toward Kampfer and brought up the status display for it. "I'm only humoring this thing with Gungnir to get stronger." she paused "Only reason I'm even at this stupid school." Sierra said then pointed to another robot [http://www.mahq.net/mecha/gundam/seed-destiny/zgmf-x20a.jpg] "And once I get that one working, I can scale up one of its weapon systems and use it my self."

"Secondly" Sierra continued, glancing at one of those picture frames that hold two pictures, and open and close like a book. The picture on the right had Sierra and an a woman that looked like an older version of Sierra, the other, had Sierra an dark hair man and a brown haired girl. "I'm the most expendable person on the team, so it doesn't matter if the universe calls my bluff again."

Seth

Seth listened as both of then spoke about the areas they felt they need to improve both stating they could benefit from some form of combat training, with Mirabelle seemingly tore between said combat training and working on her fragility, while Lenah stated that her powers where a bit on the slow side.

Seth pondered this a bit "Getting you lady's up to scratch combat wise is easy, pretty sure choosing a discipline will be the hardest part of that process, the exploration of ones powers though, I'll need to make sure we have some on in Gungnir to help with that, but what is this frailty you speak of Mirabelle?"

"Uh...", Mirabelle said, thinking for a moment. She didn't know how much she thought would be sufficient for Seth's tastes, much less how much she wanted him to know at all...but, unfortunately, if she wanted to improve herself, she was sure she would need to tell him however much he needed.

"...well, i am a steel golem, as you know, which means that i...don't exactly work like you would expect another metallic being, like a robot. On the one hand, i have a near infinite power source, as far as my family was aware, that only needs to be replaced if anything leaks out due to damage. On the other hand...i am not as durable as movies make us metallic beings to be. Mainly, the major problem is that if i receive any significant blunt force trauma, it will likely knock something out of place, like a gear or a wire, or, even worse, it could bend and warp something, like my chassis or a piston. The former i could handle after a fight, but the longer i go on, the more of a chance i have of it moving and blocking something important from happening. The latter however...well, if something like my arm gets warped and twisted in a bad way, i would not be able to fix it until i can get the time and resources to do so."

"Unfortunately, my father never found a way around that, and neither have i...so i, still unable to come up with any practical solutions, will have to focus on other means to not take damage, outside of protecting myself internally. That's why i have narrowed down my possibilities to either using my strength to disable enemies before i am broken, with the obvoius risk that someone may beat me to the maybe not so metaphorical punch in some way and thus become a liability to the team, or focus on countering attacks, at the risk of my enemies being able to overpower my defences and leaving me with little recourse to stop them thus becoming a liability to the team. Then there is the thought of me working on both in tandom at the risk of not progressing enough in either to be effective and...you know. I figured that i would ask you for guidance on this since you know a bit about everyone and could point me down a path based on the skills of everyone else so that i could be of use to the team and help out while others helped to cover for my weak points."

Mirabelle didn't mean to talk that much about the subject...but at least he had all of the relevant information. Whether that would be a good thing in the long run, she didn't know, but she felt that, for now, it could only benefit her currently. Wondering if she should add anything else, she said, "Of course, if your not done with your interviews, i would be happy to wait. After all, we are not starting combat training just yet...right?"

?Well aren?t you a cheery self-centered sack of shit.? Viktor replied, stretching out a bit. ?So, you want to question my abilities? I was leading men in combat before your mother was even a glint in her father?s eye, and while being significantly less durable than I am now, I might add. You don?t survive long in a fight with an enemy that is better equipped and trained than you are is you don?t work very well with your teammates.?

?You say your ?expendable? and you?re only here to get stronger? If that?s the way you want to play it, fine. My recommendation to Seth will be to run your half-breed ass out of here.? His features were an unreadable wall. ?Such a combination of fatalism and self-centeredness will most likely get somebody else killed; if that?s the case, we?re better off leaving your slot empty if we can?t find a replacement rather than let you fuck things up.? Sitting forward, he rested his elbows on his knees, resting his chin on his intertwined fingers. ?On the other hand if you want to pull your head out of your ass, maybe we can make this work.?

Lenah nodded when Seth spoke about exploring her powers, but she didn't speak up. Instead, she listened as Mirabelle described this fragility of hers, wondering what it was like to have been constructed like that. She was a bit surprised that the other was less durable as one would expect someone who was made out of metal -which still was a bit odd to Lenah, but she wasn't going to let that hinder her in becoming friends with people-, but she just listened to the issues at hand, making sure to look out for something like that happening during training or combat.

It's the least I could do... although I couldn't do much to help.

That was something, too. She couldn't help someone who couldn't actually benefit from her purified water, let alone drink it. At least she didn't think Mirabelle could drink it. Still, her eyes wandered as she listened, Lenah had nothing to say on this matter, and she figured the conversation between Seth and Mirabelle would go easier if she was quiet.

And he had fainted, she should have expected that really she was pressuring him far more than she had been with her teasing earlier even without an audience. Sighing she picked him up and deposited him in his bed, pausing to write a short note before turning to leave. Still it wasn't a complete waste, Will seemed to be at least a little more trusting of her, and more comfortable around her now.

Hey Will, you fainted before we got anywhere, hope you feel ok when you wake up. I wasn't sure how long you'd be out for so I decided to head out, sorry. Whenever you're ready to try again just let me know, I'm looking forward to it! <3

Juliet

That still left her with the problem of what to do with the rest of her day though, she did need to report to Val Ruk, as much as she hated talking to him, but that should probably wait until she'd met with Seth. It'd certainly be awkward, among other things, if he showed up in the middle of her reporting in. In fact waiting on Seth made a lot of her ideas somewhat difficult, she'd love to go looking for a 'snack' but again his interruption would be annoying, plus it was a little too early in the day for some of the spots she usually went fishing for that sort of thing. It would have been with Will too, but she honestly hadn't expected that to go as far as it did.

I could go looking for him to try and get it over with, but he's probably more interested in his own order. Ah well, maybe I'll just wander around campus, see who I run into.

Seth

"A good warrior has both Mirabelle" Seth said "If your going to go with 'skill' to cover your relative frailty you will need to have a strong offense and a strong defense, any instructor from the lamest 'Mc Dojo' to the greatest 'Hermit Masters' will tell you that." Seth said in reply to Mirabelle's quandary about what path she should take during combat training, he thought about making it an 'order' but he knew that making it self desirable enough for her to seek out on her own would pay off better in the long run. "As for the issue of your 'frailty' learning how to avoid or lessen damage will go a long way to cover that, but if your more interested in a much more immediate solution, I must ask, have you ever asked Sierra for help? Surely you know the story behind her sword." Seth added then he had a thought "Or maybe Lenah here can help with some kind of living armor. Ether way, you've options you can pursue with in the squad before you even begin with combat training. Which won't start for a couple days yet, and don't worry, I've no intention of allowing your alchemic skills to slip or go to waste."

Sierra

"If your going to hold something over some ones head like 'being fired' you should really make sure they care about the loss first" Sierra said in reply to the threat of being kicked off the team and likely out of Gungnir "The very fact Seth is here, and as a staff member no less makes me want to just walk." Sierra leaned forward a bit "So unless that forked, silver tongued friend of your can provide a good reason for me to not leave, we're done here." And to further punctuate Sierra's disinterest in continuing the conversation, she not only turned away from him to focus on the model behind her, the room started going dark around them.

Despite the serious manner he was trying to project, Viktor couldn?t help but laugh when Sierra called Seth a ?friend? of his. ?Please child,? He smirked. ?I wouldn?t piss on him if he was on fire. That said, it seems he was right about you. He told me to come and try and talk some sense into you, but he didn?t have much hope of it working; he made some comments about your ?half-breed? nature and your parentage.? With a bit of a sigh, he clapped his hands against his thighs and stood. ?I?d say it?s been fun, but we both know that?s bullshit. I?ll go tell Seth your opinion, and I?m sure he?ll get the Admin stuff underway. You should be free of any obligations to Gungnir in a couple of hours.? With that, he headed for the door.
