"A good warrior has both Mirabelle. If your going to go with 'skill' to cover your relative frailty you will need to have a strong offense and a strong defense, any instructor from the lamest 'Mc Dojo' to the greatest 'Hermit Masters' will tell you that."
Mirabelle internally sighed at Seth's answer, though she made sure to not show it outwardly. She already knew she should have both, it was just the question of focusing one one first, the other first, or try both and risk falling behind...which she guessed he answered in an annoyingly roundabout way. Still, he did answer it, so at least she could be grateful at that.
"As for the issue of your 'frailty' learning how to avoid or lessen damage will go a long way to cover that, but if your more interested in a much more immediate solution, I must ask, have you ever asked Sierra for help? Surely you know the story behind her sword. Or maybe Lenah here can help with some kind of living armor."
'...huh, why didn't i think of that?', she thought to herself. Maybe it was because she wanted to rely on herself and what she would always had access to instead of something only someone else could provide. Maybe she was just too scared before. Still, at least that peice of advice was good. She would have to look into that later today...
"Ether way, you've options you can pursue with in the squad before you even begin with combat training. Which won't start for a couple days yet, and don't worry, I've no intention of allowing your alchemic skills to slip or go to waste."
"Well, that is good to know. Thank you." Mirabelle said, nodding in affirmation. She was pretty sure he wouldn't try to hinder her alchemical learning, especially after he had brought it up after their introductions, but it was nice to know that they weren't doing combat training for a couple more days. It gave her the chance to focus on a few other things first, not least of which was a way to armor herself.
