Sierra nodded and when Viktor gave the signal, she silently glided into the the room, hand on the grip of both swords, and with one draw cut, left two to sleep forever, with the near by third getting stabbed through the heart with the spade on her tail.

She didn't like it though. Killing people while they slept just sat ill with her, even if they'd attacked them on sight if they'd woken up. She'd no intention of telling Viktor though, on a tactical level she understood the need for such tactics, but 'understanding the need' and 'liking doing the thing' are two very different things.

"Not a lot, care to fill us in?"

Mirabelle sighed inwardly for a moment as her theory was proven true. She would have hoped that word of mouth would have gotten around, or at the very least some of the Gungnir officials would have seen fit to inform them on the threats they were facing, but alas, it seems not. She breifly wondered if the group's attempts to stop students from panicking were the cause of this withholding of info and if it would end up biting them in the ass...but she quickly forced that question out. She could wonder about that later. Currently, she had to focus on getting out as much information as she knew before anyone tried splitting up or forced them too.

"Uh, where do i start...well...i guess their name is as good a start as we can get. The group that we are currently getting information on is called Regalia. They seem to be some Pro-humanity group that has tried to harass Gato before, though from what i gathered at the attack, their previous attempts were quickly stopped. Anyways, their new eapon changed that. From what me and Sierra have seen, it appears to be some sort of anti-paranormal weapon that specifically reacts to peoples magical energy, turning their own power against them. Of course, how it works is up in the air; Sierra seems to think of it as some sort of enchantment, though i have serious doubts about that. Either way, the results are obvious, undoubtedly they use your very own power against you if you try to defend against it and if you don't...it's still a supernatural bullet. I've already seen one girl torn apart and nearly liquified by the bullet NOT hitting her, just because she stopped it with her power. Another got charred from the inside out by his own abilities along with roasting alive anyone near him and another had her body collapse inwards, crushing her. Yet another...do i really need to continue? The point is, i think we all should stay on high alert from now on. These guys didn't seem like the type to sneakily try and eliminate us. I believe that if, given reason, they suspect we're from Gato, they won't hesitate to try and gun us down on the spot and while I'm certain that i would only be moderately injured from an assault and Will could survive as long as he doesn't use his ability, I'm worried about what it may do to you and Tomas. We still don't know the extent of damage these things could do, after all, those observations were made when we were getting a friend to safety, and it's quite possible that they could still have an adverse effect on you two even if you don't use any magical abilities. Oh lord, please don't let that happen. That's what we're risking running into out here and that's why I'm on edge."

She stated all of that in a low voice, almost whispering so as to not let anyone else that could overhear them hear. Hopefully she had gotten everything across that she needed to, that she hadn't let something slip through the cracks in her mind. Of course, that reminded her of something else.

"I'm sorry about not informing all of you beforehand but with such a large event, i assumed that you all knew more than you did...my apologies. Oh, and, hopefully we won't but...if we do run into some of them and defeat them, please grab their guns and ammo and bring them along with you. I hope to know how they work, and lord knows the school would be interested in them, if not just to find a way to counter them."

Tomas

Tomas sigh as he listen to Mira explaining what happen that one day when the school attack. He heard some things from word of mouth from the other students. Though he took that as a grain of salt due to the fact how distorted things get when told by people. Shaking his head as he remembers having to stay inside most of the day. "Ah yeah...heard a few rumors about that but nothing much. Though I do not think it will effect me much...I am a dragon after all and it seem it effects magical beings." He looks over at Will and wonders. "Maybe someone like Will since he can transform his body into a living weapon..."

Tomas saw Will wince when he said this. "Though good things you gave him that armor. It should help protect him..hopefully.." Though he turn his focus on Juliet and didn't know about her. "Demons on the other hand...I have no clue if that will effect them..So might want to watch out Juliet."

Will

Will shivered after Mira told about what happen on that day. He didn't hear a thing due to being inside anyways and rarely leaving the house. Even his mentor was worried about him after all that went down. Though when Tomas mention about him and his powers Will shivered even more. Was he right about that? His...dad did try to infuse him with magic to make him into a living weapon. Now he was really grateful for Mira giving him this armor she made.

Hoping it works as he let Tomas continue talking. Not sure if they were up for the mission if the enemy was using anti-magic bullets. He hope they didn't run into any problems as they continue walking. "Perhaps we should..come up with a way to talk to each other..if we separate from each other. That way we help each other if one team gets ambush."

Jack ? Night, Temple

It?s not that the sleeping people upstairs didn?t interest him. It was that these supposed ?Gatekeepers? were important to the cultists. That made them his business. At first, he had the urge to reach out and attempt to possess them, after thinking about it he decided not to. Not only could it have ?not so great? results without study. Jack doubted he could really pull anything from their minds. Besides he didn?t need a repeat of what happened not five minutes ago.

It was interesting that the creatures were still awake, simply staring at him. It didn?t bother him. He knew he could most likely get away if they tried something. It was the fact they had some level of sentience and awareness in said tubes. He decided to start with something simple, simply reaching out with his sense and trying to see their ?aura? as some would call it.

I wonder if they?ll kill the sleeping beings upstairs.

He ponders casually as he reaches out with his senses towards the Gatekeeper nearest to him.

"Demons on the other hand...I have no clue if that will effect them..So might want to watch out Juliet."

"Hopefully we won't find out," she said as they approached the first ward. As far as she could tell it was unguarded, and she didn't even see anyone watching. Too easy.

Summoning up some of her supernatural strength she smashed the column with her fist, then turned to the others. Lets see, yeah we can split up. If something is guarded well we can call for the other group to rejoin us.

"Alright, this should be easy," she said "Tomas you and Will go take the eastern side, Mira and I will cover the west, if you spot trouble call it in and we'll move to assist."

This should be over quickly if everything goes smoothly. Of course it won't, but you can always hope.

Jarrah nearly out of his skin when Viktor appeared beside him, and luckily, the yowie managed not to knock any of the nearby cult equipment to the ground as the vampire whispered in his ear.

"If he wakes up, keep his silent and restrained." Jarrah barely had time to follow Viktor's finger to the nearest cultist before the vampire moved to the two nearby, and Sierra took up position with over the three opposite. He saw Viktor's mouth moving, then in a flash his hands were around the necks of the two cultists beneath him. Both of cultist's expressions transformed from sleeping serenity to abject terror in a moment, their eyes shooting open as they tried and failed to force breath past Viktor's crushing hold.

Neither blinked until the one furthest from Jarrah received a light splatter of blood as Sierra dispatched the other three cultists, and it only took a few seconds after that for the two to stop struggling, and it was a further few seconds after that before Viktor removed his vice grip.

A tired yawn drew Jarrah's attention downwards, as the final remaining cultist stirred in his sleep and opened his eyes. Upon seeing Jarrah he abruptly jerked upright, and only had a second to comprehend the carnage before his eyes before Jarrah grabbed in a headlock and clamped a hand over his face, the size of his extremity not only blocking his mouth but his eyes as well.

The cultist's frantic hands flailed against his own, pulling at the fur on his arms and hitting him with futile punches. Slowly, his struggles grew weaker and weaker as his own supply of oxygen dwindled, though unlike his companions, Jarrah's grip on his windpipe was comparatively gentler.

Eventually he fell limp, and Jarrah released him, causing the cultist to slump to the ground.

"So, what now?" He ask Viktor.

"Ah yeah...heard a few rumors about that but nothing much. Though I do not think it will effect me much...I am a dragon after all and it seem it effects magical beings."

Mirabelle sighed outright this time, even if she didn't have lungs or the means to take in air. There were certainly people who would argue that dragons were magical beings...but she figured that now wasn't a time to debate that. Instead she decided to correct a misunderstanding and try a different angle. "I apologize if this sounds rude but i never said that they were anti-magic. According to what I've seen, they are anti-paranormal, i.e. they may be able to affect beings that would be considered 'non-magical' by the supernatural community. Still, even if you are resistant to them, do be careful. Remember that these weapons were made by a pro-human terrorist group, i wouldn't be surprised if they caused a few nasty side effects for those who prove unaffected by their main use."

"Maybe someone like Will since he can transform his body into a living weapon...Though good things you gave him that armor. It should help protect him..hopefully..."

"Will should hopefully be fine as long as he doesn't use his abilities. After all, i've only seen them affect people who used their abilities to defend themselves i.e. letting their powers and transformed states come into contact with the bullets. I saw no examples of people who didn't use their abilities suffering in the same way...though i will secede the fact that i may just have missed those examples. Still, Will, i'd watch out for those side effects i was talking about..."

"Alright, this should be easy, Tomas you and Will go take the eastern side, Mira and I will cover the west, if you spot trouble call it in and we'll move to assist."

Mirabelle nodded at Juliet, who had taken out one of the wards by herself, before turning back to the other two. "Alright then...well, good luck. Hopefully we don't run into Regalia, but please be careful anyways."

She turned around and faced Juliet, saying, "I'm ready. Shall we go?"

"So, what now?"

With the other five dead, Viktor turned back to Jarrah and his unconscious charge. ?Alpha Two and Alpha Three, head down and re-connect with Alpha Four. Alpha Five search the books; we?re looking for grimoires, amulets, stuff like that; I?ll join you after I?ve had a chat with our new friend.?

Moving the captive away from the bodies, he propped the man against a wall. As the man began to stir, Viktor grabbed him by the cheeks with one hand, forcing him to look Viktor in the face. With that, Viktor began to ?cast? his aura, his remaining eye glowing like a hot coal. "
Code:
You see only me. You hear only me.
" He said, his voice seeming to echo in the cultists mind. "
Code:
You serve only me.
" He repeated the mantra several times, growing more insistent with each repetition. Finally, he released the cultist. "
Code:
Whom do you serve?
" He asked. ?You, Master.? Came the reply. ?Now and always.? ?Good.? Viktor said, the weird echo gone from his voice. ?Now tell me, what were you and the others trying to do here??

Sierra rolled her eyes and walked over to Sol, grabbed a book off the top of the stack and headed down stairs to see what was keeping Jack. She found him, doing ... something ... with one of the strange creatures in the tubes. Sierra just kinda stared, there was this feeling of familiarity to these creatures, like she'd been around them before.

"Making a new friend?" She joked as she got closer to Jack, though kept walking slowly, examining the creatures, and opened the book to see what, if anything she could glean from it.

Jack

Jack would be feeling, not much. The creatures hand limited intelligence but where in possession of a great deal of ethereal energys, that seeme dto be sleeping at the moment.

Upstairs

As the cultist began to open his mouth, his Rune to triggered and his head exploded, when this happened though, a laugh could be heard from out side. Outside, on top of the wall sat a 'knight' of sorts. the armor was basic 'metal' coloring and was decidedly 'western' in design, though with a bit more 'style' to go with the function, he had a shield on is left arm, and a mean looking axe propped against him on the right and what looked to be a sword shield on his left hip.

The more 'night vision inclined' of the group would be able to pick out a damaged set of horns and a tail, that like the rest of him, was armored.

Tomas

While Tomas was still sure he wouldn't need to worry, he would still heed her warning. Only fools believe to be immortal when going to fight. "Will do, come along Will. I rather get this done before trouble finds us." Heading off in the opposite direction for the wards. Keeping a eye out with his dragon like eyes, trying to catch the tiniest of changes within his surroundings. He would not end up like his poor classmates. No way in hell would he die like that.

"So..um..T-Tomas...do you think..anyone is here?" He heard Will ask. Shaking his head no as he spoke back.

"I have no idea myself...While it is likely they will have a few thugs to hang around to make sure everything is fine..I do believe Mira is being paranoid. If you are guarding something out in the open, you don't have a army protecting it. It would raise to much of a stink to the right people."

He waited a few moments before adding, "You either have a few low level thugs to protect it and report on any suspicious people..or have your elite doing so to make sure it fully protected. Though she could be right and these clowns are just stupid in how they deal with things..."

Will

Will nodded at Mira and Tomas as they separate into their groups. Will trying to keep a eye out for his surroundings and to see if he could see any wards nearby. Though from what Mira said, was nagging in the back of his head. Would the people who attack the school have a full force located nearby? How many men would be here hiding? Would he and Tomas be able to hold them off until the others came back, or vice versa?

Deciding to ask Tomas about it, he manage to speak up to him. Listening to his answer gave him some peace as it does seem odd they would put a majority of their forces here. While he nodded and accpted the answer Tomas gave him, he still felt a bit of unease around this area.

"Alpha Two and Alpha Three, head down and re-connect with Alpha Four. Alpha Five search the books; we're looking for grimoires, amulets, stuff like that; I'll join you after I've had a chat with our new friend."

"I thought I was supposed to be in charge of that," Sol replied, though his words went ignored as Viktor started speaking to the man he assumed to be a cultist by now. He felt like he has his strengths underestimated, or perhaps more correctly, misunderstood, as he looked down at the books.

I'll look through them, but I don't expect to find much right now. Perhaps if I had time...

Not soon after, Sierra grabbed one of them, a thicker one. He let her, more people looking through the books would mean less time wasted. As he was about to look through one of the books himself, he realized that Viktor wasn't just trying to convince the other to talk, but using some sort of vampire mind-trick.

Is he going to make him into a thrall too?

Considering what Viktor had threatened Sol with a couple of years ago, Sol wouldn't be surprised. He raised his voice.

"I don't mean to be rude, but is that really necessary? You're---" he trailed off as he noticed the rune activating, and stepped even further away, making sure he didn't get more brain-goo on himself. Before he had the chance to voice what was a growing suspicion of that it'd be better to just ask them, he noticed the laugher from outside. A more than a little suspicious guy could be seen on top of a wall, laughing.

What even...

He could see more because of the night-vision goggles. Making himself invisible again -he only had a little more than three minutes left now- he moved closer, making note of the weapons, the horns, and the tail. Quietly, he raised his gun, and fired off several rounds, moving around after each shot so that it would be impossible to tell where he was, trying to give the others a chance to plan their attacks, knowing that he'd have the advantage of being undetectable for a while longer.

"?rude, but is that really necessary? You're---"

He?d been giving his full concentration to the task, and on partially heard Solomon speak. ?Sorry, what wa--? Because he?d been turning his head towards the hunter, he?d been looking the wrong way when the cultist?s head exploded. Mmm, A positive. He thought as he absentmindedly tasted some of the blood that?d splattered on him. The laughter outside brought him back to reality.

Stepping outside just behind Solomon, he spotted an obviously demonic figure in what looked like Medieval European armour, sitting on a low wall. ?All Alphas, Alpha One. Single contact outside, presumed hostile. Target may not be alone, use caution.? He said softly into his mic. As Solomon opened fire, Viktor stepped outside and unleashed a buzzing cloud of flechettes from both barrels before easily jumping up onto the roof of the temple. Reloading, he dropped two slugs into the gun before sending them at the figure one after the other.

"Alpha Two and Alpha Three, head down and re-connect with Alpha Four."

Jarrah nodded and followed Sierra as she descended to the temple's lower level. The ease that she and Viktor had cut down the cultists troubled him. Even if they were 'the enemy', executing them while they were sleeping just felt wrong. For now though, Jarrah kept his thoughts to himself, at least as far as vocalizing them. For anyone looking, the Yowies feelings would have been clearly painted by aggrieved expression.

"Making a new friend?"

He stepped over the threshold of the doorway and into what looked like some twisted laboratory, with centerpiece being eight tubes in which floated heads that uncomfortably reminded Jarrah of the creature that had attacked them at the karaoke bar, the same one that he had ended up killing with his bare hands.

Just as the question of what the creatures were found itself to Jarrahs tongue, the crack of gunshots sounded from above, and his radio crackled in his ear.

"All Alphas, Alpha One. Single contact outside, presumed hostile. Target may not be alone, use caution."

Jarrah turned on his heel and made his way back down the hallway, the rapid sound of his footfalls following him as he climbed the stone stairs back to the temple's main room. The sight of the remaining cultist with his head splattered over a better part of the wall threw him for a moment, before the vague sight of the figure on the wall outside forced him to push the jumble of questions to the back of his mind.

For the moment, Jarrah held his ground near the basement entrance, waiting to see what the figure would do next.

Jack wasn?t surprised by his findings. The creatures didn?t appear to be sentient although they did have a limited grasp of it. From the way the cultist and the notes mentioned the Gatekeepers. They were most like tools to defend themselves, an area, or an item, maybe all of the above. It would make sense in that case. It didn?t really matter at the moment. He needed to secure the area first and then he could most likely begin earnest research into this. He sensed Jarrah and Sierra walk into the room but didn?t bother to face them for now. It wasn?t necessary.

"Making a new friend?"

?A friend, a tool, a slave, we?ll see soon enough.? He replies monotonously before turning to look at the doorway where he could hear gunshots. He could sense a new presence in the room above. He simply phased through earth and stone before appearing in the room. The darkness in the room would be an advantage if this being proved to be dangerous enough for his three companions. He?d sit back however and wait for it to make a move. Keeping himself hidden and waiting for an opportunity.

Temple Team

The armored demon just let Sols gunfire bounce off his armor, with little to nothing in the way of interest in where the shots where coming from. Viktor's flechettes, got his attention and got him to move, alarmingly quickly, out of the way, then swatted the slugs away with his shield.

"Is hat it vampire? Have you any real power or do you hide behind the toys of men like the rest of your limp wristed race." The demon taunted as his axe 'grew' a bunch of spikes, and with a single swing of his axe, threw those spikes at Viktor. The spikes them selves where small, but numerous, and looked to be obsidian, and buzzed through the air like Viktors flechettes rounds.

Sierra waited only long enough for the spikes to form before she moved to intercept the demon, attacking him with both swords from his right in a 'scissor' kind of attack, and attack the demon readily blocked "And now the 'mut' slinks out of the shadows. Good, now if the other two hiding would grow a pair that'd be great." he said as he shoved Sierra's blades way and made an attempt to bash her with his shield.

A move that to his surprise didn't work quite like he'd hoped, Sierra rolled around the attack, and brought her claymore around, and thrusted at his side, the demons reflexes proved to quick for the attack, and swatted it away, but still backed off, a move Sierra was ready for as she brought Bakuzan around and threw a blade of demon energy at the demon knight, an attack he swatted away with his axe. "Heh, the mut has some inkling of teeth ... good."

Park Team

The now split team moved from one 'seal' to the next, breaking them as they went, with little issue, and only the minor hassle of having to wait for some one to move on before they broke the seal and moved on. Both groups however noticed signs of something having happened recently, something that was being hidden from the view of the 'normal people', but soon enough the last seal was broken and they groups linked up again before heading back to where the voice had spoken to them.

"Is that it vampire? Have you any real power or do you hide behind the toys of men like the rest of your limp wristed race."

He likes to talk?good, the dumb ones always run their mouths rather than pay attention. Re-loading, and holstering, his gun, he easily dodged the spikes. Leaping from the roof, he hit the ground just as Sierra lashed out with a wave of energy; tensing his legs as he hit the ground, he exploded towards the demon at a full sprint. Juking at the last moment, he went low, driving a car-crushing punch to the back of the demon?s unarmoured knee.

"And now the 'mut' slinks out of the shadows. Good, now if the other two hiding would grow a pair that'd be great."

Sol noticed that his bullets were ignored, and put his gun away.

So much for nothing, I suppose. I find it difficult to believe that a medieval armor would repel bullets that well, though.

Although, he wasn't exactly a gun expert, perhaps the plate was thicker than he had expected.

What do I do now? Do I withdraw?

Sierra didn't seem to be as much of an overwhelming force as she had given the impression of being, perhaps this guy was really that strong, or she had overestimated her own abilities. However, with no heat on him -how could there be?- he took a brief moment to just think, consider just what he could do.

Anything... Oh, that might be it.

If Viktor's punch hit true, Sol would have an opening, a great opportunity to slide his blade through the opening in around the neck, and he aimed for that. He grabbed his knife, ready to strike. If nothing else, Viktor and Sierra together might be enough to force the demon into an awkward position, leaving him open for an invisible Sol to act. If none of this worked, Sol would be forced to withdraw, as he was currently on his last minute.

This isn't that likely to be successful.

However, for now, he kept himself ready for for that little opening, tracking the slit between the armor and the helmet with his eyes.

It's not that Jack didn't really care about his teammates. It's just that in his eyes they were all more expendable than himself. So when the being had made fun of him and Sol, he was only mildly annoyed. He had never considered himself brave nor cowardly. Either of the two could kill you in the long run. Besides, surprise could be the number one thing to win many fights. That didn't matter now however as he watched Viktor deliver a blow to the creature.

Well... Maybe I can lend a shadow or two.

He uses the numerous shadows in the room to wrap around the beings limbs. His power being amplified by his natural state he tries his utmost to hold the being down. Trying his best to drag the beings limbs down to the ground and hold it there. Hoping that his teammates attacks combined with his natural form could hold it down long enough for one of them to deliver the finishing blow.

Mirabelle and Juliet moved through their half of the seal "hexagon" in silence mostly, with little to no disturbances from either them or their surroundings outside of one of them breaking a seal. To be honest, it unnerved Mira, especially since she still suspected an attack to happen...It seemed that what they say was true, waiting is the worst part. Still, it gave her time to notice that there were strange...signs, clues...preludes to problems. It seemed that something had happened here recently, something someone didn't want people to notice, something that would take someone actually intently looking around for such signs to notice.

This new development both unnerved her even more and sparked her curiosity. She wasn't as magical adept as some of the people in her group, either the large one or team b, so she couldn't tell if they were magically hidden or not, but the fact that she saw no evidence that the normal, everyday people had take notice of them, she believed that it was an ever increasing possibility. If so, that made her question if it was Regalia who had left these signs or not, or if they had something to do with the sealing of this spirit, due to it's apparent knowledge of them. Maybe there was another party involved, maybe these were the signs of the seals being maintained...or, maybe Regalia had gotten clever and gotten (or worse, recruited) some preists to keep this place bound. Whatever it was, she was certain that they would soon find out what the signs were for soon after they broke the last seal.

Destroying the last one on their side, the two of them headed over and soon regrouped with Will and Tomas. She guessed that they hadn't ran into anything either, but she was curious if they had seen any disturbances on their path too. As they were headed back, she asked, in the lowest volume outside of a whisper that she could manage, "So...have you guys seen any disturbances on your path as well?"

Both Tomas and Will work in silence as they went from seal to seal destroying them. Will was to worried that he might offend Tomas in someway to speak, while Tomas was to busy focusing on the task. Both picked up on the oddity that seem to be when they were walking around looking for seals. It felt like something has happen here, but it was all cover up.

Though none of them question much of it due to the fact they had no leads on what could have happen. Finishing up their job as they headed back to the regrouping spot. Will smiling once the group was back together as he would rather have a full team together if something bad happens from all this.

Tomas heard Mira as he nodded, "Yeah..though not sure what. Perhaps this was a bit to easy..I at least expected something guarding this place.." Tomas sort of mumble to himself the last part. Looking around as he wonders if this was a trap of some sort.
