?It's just... I know it was the smart move, and doing it any other way would have probably gotten us hurt or worse, but it just didn't feel...."

?Right? Fair? Honourable?? He said, softly. ?Those are things for the sparring ring, and the competition bouts; this is war. That means you kill the other guy as quickly as you can, preferably before he knows there?s going to be a fight; and if there is a fight, you use whatever means you have to win.? Reaching out, he gripped Jarrah lightly by the shoulder. ?Ultimately, whether or not you can to what needs to be done is up to you. I?m not to say anything like ?you need to just man up? or other macho bullshit like that?shit like that?ll either get you killed or turn you into a spectacularly fucked up individual. All I?ll say is, you need to do what you feel is the right thing.?

Letting go of the Yowie, he started to head for his room. ?Well that?s all I wanted to say. I gotta write out that thing for Seth before I forget it; but if you have questions or want some advice, don?t hesitate to ask.? Once in his room, he pulled out a legal pad and began writing out his idea.

"That's probably the best way we can go about it. I'll get started on my side of it after we get you set up and I getta work out in."

"Alright. I'll be in my room when you want to get started.", Mirabelle said as Sierra headed off to hide the bullet. Afterwards, she walked off to her room and closed the door, retrieving the magazine once she did, taking another bullet out before putting the magazine away again. She wondered what Sierra would uncover in her investigation...and what she herself would discover as well. She was still fairly certain that there was more than just enchanting to these bullets, if there was enchanting at all...but still, she found that it was best to keep her opinion open. Besides, it could easily be a mix of both of their ideas, or neither and instead be something that neither of them considered. Either way, they would know in a bit.

Once she had done that, she decided to wander over to her alchemy station and review her work. It had been pretty hectic throughout the past few days, so she figured that she'd look over her work and make sure everything was in order. Checking it all, she remembered that she still hadn't started on an actual final model for the Flexisteel armor, just the prototype, which still remained untested in actual battle conditions. She knew that that fact was a good thing, since it meant that Will would have been in danger, but she still found herself wanting that information. Still, at least she knew where she would go from there...she just needed to ask around and see who would want or need any of her armor.

After that...she had nothing to do. She couldn't start messing with the bullet because, in all honesty, she doubted that it took very long to hide a bullet (extra time added of course if your roommate is a demon and/or liable to go through your things), She didn't have anything alchemeic that she wanted to do, and if she started on a book, she doubted that she would be ready again until the next day or two. So, despite what she had said previously, she decided that the best course of action was to just wait in Sierras room...or at least check to see if she was ready.

Leaving her room, she went up to Sierra's door and knocked, saying, "Hey, it's me. I know i said that i was going to wait in my room...but, ti be honest, there's nothing i can do that won't force us to hold off on those enchantments so...are you ready? Or do you need me to wait a little longer?"

Sierra

Sierra opened the door "Nah, I'm ready, just had to rig up something none magical, and insulated against magic to lock that thing in. Just in case ya know." She said as she let Mira in so they could start.

Seth

Seth stopped, looked at his watch, then pulled out one of those magic cards and waved his hand across it once then and handed it to Sol. "This will show you the rest of the way then. I can not wait for you to get back, I'll call you when for then next meeting, which will be in the the Lance barracks. Other then that, do make sure your ready, squad exercises start soon." Seth said before heading off to his destination.

Gym

"Your punch is off m'boy." a voice said behind Tomas. He find a well kept looking man, tall, and very fit, with some muscular bulk but not an overt amount. "Here, like this" He said before throwing punches into his bag. "Now you try."

"This will show you the rest of the way then. I can not wait for you to get back, I'll call you when for then next meeting, which will be in the the Lance barracks. Other then that, do make sure your ready, squad exercises start soon."

Sol raised an eyebrow, as he examined the card in his hand.

"Hm? I didn't mean it like that, I was just asking so that I could tell them... but fair enough. You have my number, right?" After making sure that Seth could contact him, Sol sent a message back to his buddy.

"Give me ten minutes."

He figured that he might as well get his stuff into the new dorm room before meeting his "friend".

I wonder why it seems so important, though.

Regardless, Sol would soon find out.

There had been no one there when Sol entered his room, using what Seth had given him to find and unlock the correct room. It was, however, good having a room, and it wasn't that long a walk from the Beta block, which meant that he could still make it within 10 minutes. It had been with a careful, almost sneaking pace he had made his way over to the meeting place, and while he hadn't quite gotten there yet, he felt a hand on his shoulder.

"There you are. Ehm, hi-- bro," a voice said, and he turned around to face a blonde with soft blue eyes and a nervous expression that didn't quite seem to belong to the male. Very different from the boisterous guy he had acted as the first ten minutes of meeting Sol, but it was clear that an amount of the confidence was a ruse. Still, a nice fellow, there was a reason Sol had left behind his scarf.

"Hi, had a pleasant morning so far?" Sol hadn't been given too much of a name; Luke, but, from what he remembered, it was short for something else. Not quite Lucas, but sounding similar. Sol grinned.

"I heard you have something of mine?" Luke nodded, and handed him the scarf. Sol brushed his hand across Luke's, playfully, and the other looked slightly startled.

I suppose I should go easy on him. Not every day someone has to come to terms with their sexuality, after all.

For a moment, the two of them were quiet, but then that false confident arose again.

"Yeah, you left it behind, I figured you'd want it. Wouldn't want you to catch a cold," the other replied, and Sol had to keep himself from chuckling. It was hardly cold outside, but he nodded.

"Thanks," Sol smiled. "I didn't tell anyone, by the way."

"Oh, cool, good, it's not that you're... you know, it's just sort of... I don't really know what they'd say, is all." Sol tilted his head.

"What do you think? About it, I mean. A bit too sudden?" He spoke calmly, allowing the other to think it through. Luke shook his head, eventually.

"No. I mean, it was very sudden, but... It's not like I didn't know about it, I just needed a reason to..." The blonde laughed, awkwardly. "Yeah, this isn't going too well. But I liked it, and... I wouldn't mind, you know. Again. Or just getting to know you, that works too, of course." Sol chuckled.

"I'm glad to hear that it wasn't too bad. Come here," Sol embraced the other, and softly kissed his neck. Even though Luke had broader shoulders, Sol still had a bit of height on the other, so he had to lean down slightly. "I'm fine with either, having sex or becoming friends, or both. As long as we're not getting married or something. Not too fond of getting tied down without consideration."

"Yeah, of course not. Besides, I'm still not sure I want... you know, them to know."

"That's fine," Sol replied, ruffling the other's hair. "I can do that. I'm good at sneaking around."

Setting down the pad, he read over his letter a few times; first translating it into English, as he?d written the first draft in Ukrainian, then pouring over it again to fix his spelling?his spoke English was good, but his written was a bit rough. After a few more versions, he was finally happy with what he wrote.

Seth:
In regards to our first mission, and with the information you supplied about the nature of the ?Gates?, I?ve realized Gungir is going to need a significant boost in its offensive capabilities; especially considering the ineffectiveness of both mine and Solomon?s firearms against the demon at the temple. To that end I would recommend we obtain an enchanter to work on enhancing the effectiveness of the gear used by the Gungir field teams. While Sierra?s records do show she is very capable in that area, if you?re going to insist she remains a part of Gungir, having her working on team-wide enchantments as well as field work would be an unnecessary distraction on her part. I can handle in importing of actual munitions through my own contacts, but with an enchanter or two on staff to increase their capabilities, it would greatly increase their effectiveness and reduce the volume needed to be brought in.

Along the same idea, my other proposal is to have a dedicated staff on campus to handle archiving the information we?ve already gathered, and to sift through any information we may gather in the future, as well as data mine answers as the investigations progress. While I understand you have your own resources working on that end of things, the fact that they are off site creates a significant security threat that could be potentially crippling should it be exploited.

I am aware that the faculty as a limited budget to fund this operation, but to do our job effectively, sooner or later we will need this infrastructure.

Folding the letter, he placed it on the desk in Seth?s office before returning to his room to change. Once in the training room he spotted the half-breed dragon working with a fellow he didn?t recognize, and William, who appeared to be just milling about. ?Come on William.? He said, as he approached. ?Let?s see just what you can do; and please, don?t hold back.? Settling into a defensive stance [http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/1237/qqwq.jpg], he waited to see what William would do.

Tomas

Tomas stop punching the bag when he heard someone talking to him from behind. Turning around to see the musclar man before him. Offering him the bag to show how to punch. Watching as the man gave a few punches before letting Tomas try. Tomas try to mimic the man perfectly the first time, but took a few punches to get it down right.

After a few more he turn his head towards the man, "Like this?" He asked as he wanted to get approvement from his 'teacher' so to speak. After getting a nod, Tomas continue punching the bag. Getting a work out as he continue his fury of punches on and off. Stopping for a few minutes as he turn to face the man once more. "Names Tomas."

William

William nearly jumped when he heard Viktor wanting to spar with him. Nodding in a bit of nervousness as he shallow a bit. While his mentor did train him to fight, he never really thought about using it. "D-does that mean..use my powers?" William ask as he got into a stance himself.

Ok, Viktor got experienced, strength, and probably agility over you. Though he probably does not have a fully grasp of your powers. As well as your own size can be used against him. I hope at least. Will thought to himself. While Will was a bit of a nervous wreck, he still try to remain focus.

While it wasn't a fight to the death, he still wanted to impress Viktor and perhaps show the others that he wasn't a weakling at all. Trying to control his breath as he waits for Viktor answer.

"D-does that mean..use my powers?"

Viktor stifled a mental sigh. ?Yes.? He said, shifting his footing slightly. ?I want you to come at me with everything you?ve got. Don?t worry about hurting me, one of the few things movies have gotten right, is that we vampires are very hard to kill.? Without warning Viktor attacked, throwing jabs and crosses at William in quick succession, keeping his own speed to a level that a human could actually respond to. ?But if you?re going to hesitate, I guess I?ll just have to force the issue.?

William

William dodged the jabs that Viktor was throwing at him. Waiting for the right moment to strike as he kept backing up and dodging left and right. William saw a opening as he duck under a right jab and went forward. Turning his hand into solid metal as he upper cut Viktor in the jaw. Sending him a back a bit but not taking him out at all. Viktor would recover and get back into fighting position.
Not wanting to be caught under assault again, William charged at Viktor. Turning his hands into blades this time and open up a fury of assult against Viktor. Putting him on the defensive while William try to think of a plan of attack.

Though it was hard to when his mind was in a state of panic. Worried about not doing anything right in this practice fight as well as hurting Viktor by mistake. Though he kept pushing those thoughts to the side when they arise in his mind. He was told to go all out and that is what he will do.

Though Viktor saw a opening and took it. Doing a quick jab into William gut as he sent William backwards and onto the floor. William was gasping for air, as he heard Viktor say something about not leaving any openings. Nodding as William slowly got back up and fought through the pain.

He charged at Viktor once more as he was running with a plan he was making up as he went. Right before he got to Viktor, William jump into the air with all his might, and at the same time turning his body into the lightest material he could think of. Making him gain more air then he normally would. Once he was high enough, pull his body together and turn himself into a rocky matieral. Falling through the sky and landing right ontop of Viktor.

He transform most of his body back into his normal self besides one hand he transform into a blade. Putting it up against Viktor neck as he ask "Do you yield?"

"Nah, I'm ready, just had to rig up something none magical, and insulated against magic to lock that thing in. Just in case ya know."

"Uh...i guess i do...", Mirabelle said as she stepped in. Taking a good look around, it took a moment before she found a place and sat down.

To be honest, she felt a bit nervous and torn about whether or not she should go through with this. While she acknowledged that it would help to cover her most glaring flaw in the short term, she worried about the long term results, namely how it could cripple her progress with her defensive training and how it could massively delay her from finding a structural solution to the problem (if not for her, then for her still to be finished "brother"). Still...with the threats and groups that were facing the school, she would probably need something like this for now, and so she resolved herself to go through with this.

"Alright, i'm ready if you are...uh, just one question? This is just a temporary, right? Like a few months or something like that? Not that I'm not grateful about it, i just feel that without the threat that my weakness would return, i won't be as properly motivated to build up a proper defensive technique for when someone finds a way around it."

Viktor was impressed at William?s ability to dodge his initial attacks. The boy is pretty fast for a human. He thought as he threw yet another punch, this time he was rewarded William ducking the blow, and connecting with a metallic rising upper cut that knocked him for a loop; if he?d been anything less than a vampire, he was pretty sure he?d?ve been lucky to wake up from that hit.

Recovering from the hit, Viktor found himself on the defensive, blocking a flurry of strikes from William, as the young man?s ?hand-blades? turned Viktor?s forearms in to a stinging mass. In a brief moment William over extending himself, and left his midsection open, and Viktor was quick to capitalize on that, driving a fist into William?s stomach. ?You put too much follow through into that last punch.? Viktor said, as William got back up. ?That left you off balance, with your whole right side open.?

He couldn?t help but smile when William leapt at him; he was getting ready to punish the boy for such an inefficient attack when he realized, William was hanging in the air longer than any human had any right to. ?What the-? He was interrupted by the impact of a William now weighing several times more than he did, and in a instant he felt a wickedly sharp blade against his throat.

"Do you yield?"

Finding a now ?normal? weight William kneeling on his chest, Viktor smiled, showing of his pointed and very sharp teeth. ?Before you enter into a fight, especially in ?this? world, try your hardest to find out who?or what you are fighting.? With that he sat up sharply. The blade dug deep into his neck, and he could feel blood beginning to flow down the front of his shirt, but at the same time, his sudden movement and greater natural strength topped William off of him. Rolling clear, Viktor stood once more in a fighting stance, the wound on his neck already rapidly closing. ?Again.?

"Daughtry, 'handler' of Lance 7" the man said, extending his hand for a shake. Daughtry then started an impromptu training session in Boxing, showing Tomas the basics, as well as making sure Tomas knew what he'd take away from this little session would be applicable in what ever else Tomas would be learning.

Sierra

"Wasn't gonna be. I build my enchantments to last, especially when lives are on the line if they fail, but if that's what you want, I can make that change." Sierra said as spell circle materialized around Mira, then broke in to five separate circles stacked on top of each other while smaller copy's appeared in front of Sierra, on which she made adjustments to the spell runes, which also changed the ones around Mira. All told it took ten minutes for Sierra to finalize all the changes and make sure there where no compatibility errors in her work, after which she simply confirmed Mira was ready, and once she confirmed she was, Sierra activated each spell circle from top to bottom and one at a time in case she needed to make an 'on the fly change'. All told it took about an hour for Sierra to finish enchanting Mira, and another ten minutes to make sure everything was as it should be.

Late After Noon

With Mira 'enchanted' and her room flooded with Aether from the process, not the best conditions to begin examining and poking something that turns 'magic' inside out, Sierra decided to grab a couple of her prototypes for a bit of a field test. So after getting them ready to go, and storing them in a stone for easy transport she headed out to find a decent spot to dive into Limbo and pick a fight with some trash demons.

After getting settled into the safe-house that The Order had provided for him, Daniel had spent the last couple of hours walking around the streets of Tokyo getting familiarized with his surroundings. He kept his sword back at the safe-house, mostly to not look out of place, but also to make sure that he didn't get arrested in quick succession; as it became tricky for The Order to get its agents out of police matters, especially in countries where they had little jurisdiction over.

Along the way, he stopped at a local convenience store and bought a newspaper to see if any of the stories featured in it could be related in anyway to the supposed cultist activity. Most of it was trivial local affairs of no real significance and the usual gossip/advice columns, but there was two stories that caught his interest, mainly due to the unusual circumstances that surrounded them.

The first one read that a terrorist group had attacked a local nightclub, leaving many patrons injured and the nightclub itself having to be closed for a couple of months whilst renovations were under way.

"This makes for an odd target to attack, normally when you read stories like these, its because of rival streets gangs in some kind of territory dispute. Can't of been the club itself that was of interest, there must have been some extraordinary people in there that day. Perhaps if I get in contact with the right people, I might be able to snag the guest list. Moving on though."

Whereas the second story was definitely more Daniel's cup of tea. According to The Tokyo Times, an ancient and long abandoned Shinto shrine had disappeared into a sink-hole under what was labelled as 'mysterious circumstances' despite local geologists claiming that the ground that the shrine sat on was physically sound, and that there had been no reports on sink-holes in region before.

"Bullshit did it just disappear on its own accord, something or rather, someone didn't want people nosing about, so it or they created a sink-hole to cover up what business they was getting into. The shrine itself isn't far from here, might see if there is any refuse still floating about that could point as to whom was living there."

Whilst reading through the rest of the paper, something caught the attention out of Daniel's eye. Across the street from him was a roughly 6ft tall woman with long black hair which ended in dark purple coloured tips. Whilst she looked rather pretty, and if he was a few years younger he'd possibly try asking her out, it was the aura that she gave off that made Daniel cautious.

A Half Demon. What are you doing here?

This was something that Daniel had to immediately had to investigate on. Who knows, maybe he would get lucky and it would somehow connect back to the cultists. Dispensing the newspaper into the nearest trash bin, he began to follow the half demon, all the while keeping his hand near one of his decks of cards, in case things got nasty.

Sierra kept walking for a little bit, then stopped, turned, and headed into an alley, and started looking around a bit, quickly back toward the opening then around the alley again. The alley it self was a suitable place to jump 'down' to Limbo but her main concern with the tail she seemed to have acquired. Oddly though, she couldn't tell if it was a demon or not, just that it was an odd aura.

"Any reason your stalking me, or you just a creeper." Sierra said, turning toward the alleys opening, what ever was following her. She stood ready to summon her sword though, just in-case things got nasty/

Daniel kept following the Half Demon as she made her way towards wherever her destination was, quickly stepping into a nearby alcoves whenever she turned to look behind her, a couple times which had some odd looks comes his way from passers-by. Something about this particular hell-spawn seemed off though to Daniel, her aura was different compared to most demons, but couldn't exactly put his finger on it.

Eventually though, the Half Demon arrived at an alleyway and seemed to examine it for a moment before turning to face the opening.

"Any reason your stalking me, or you just a creeper?" She asked Daniel, obviously noticing his presence. Daniel raised a half smile in response, a slight gust of wind made his trench-coat gently billow in the breeze as he stood just at the mouth of the alley.

"Depends on who you ask. Right now though, curious as to why a pretty young thing like yourself would be skulking around the back alleys, not exactly a safe place to be, unless of course, you're looking for trouble."

She gave him a 'really ... we're gonna play dumb' look. "Uh huh ... look ... who ever you are, I got things to do so ether get to the point." she said, summoning one of her prototypes, a pair of 'flash light' looking devices on that looked to be floating behind her, but where really just fixed to her lower wings. "I do assume you, being ... what ever you are, has a reason for following some one like me around." Sierra added, dropping all pretense as to whether or not she could tell he was human or not.

"Uh huh ... look ... whoever you are, I got things to do so ether get to the point." The Half Demon retorted back with as she gave him a look. As she spoke, a pair of what could be described as glorified flash lights appeared behind her. "I do assume you, being ... whatever you are, has a reason for following someone like me around."

"Well for the most part what I said was true, I was generally curious as to why a Half Demon would be wondering around here, so curiosity got the better of me, and I followed. And yes, I know what you are, it's kind of in my job to know. Speaking of which, here have my card." With a snap of his fingers, Daniel produced a playing card from seemingly out of nowhere and then handed it to the lady in front of him. The back made it appear like a standard playing card, but on the front it was a plain white backing with black text on it.

She read the card. "This only adds more questions then answers. What is a British PI doing in Japan." she asked, but before he could answer the landscape seemed to rip and pull it self apart and a red tint coated the area as the alleyway gave way to floating streets and twisted scenery.

Sierra just looked annoyed by this. "Fantastic ... who's the idiot this time ..." she said as three armored demons approached them. "That's her alright" one of them said "Kill the male and take the mut's head" the 'leader' said, pointing a lance at Sierra and Daniel.

Sierra just sighed and grabbed one of the 'flash lights' and started toward them "You should have brought more then three..." she said as she 'turned it on' revealing it to actually be some kind of Light or Beam Saber

Seth

Seth after several meetings, some with Gungnir some with his own people made his way back to his office, where he found Viktor's note. He read it and then put it back down, Viktor didn't seem to think that an infrastructure like he suggested was 'under construction'. Seth could hardly fualt him for thinking that given how slip shod and under funded it looked currently, still, Seth whipped out his phone and sent Viktor a short text saying they needed to talk and that he was in his office.

Seth's teams quarters

A group of three people entered the dorm room One male, two female, and didn't immediately see anyone there. Unsurprising as the team was on 'they're time' at present. The man and one of the women knocked on the doors to Mirabelle and Sierra's rooms, just to check if they where in there and just not paying attention, while the other woman, using the Gungnir coms send a text message to the team as a whole to report back to the Lance Barracks

Sol's conversation with his master had been... interesting. Yeah, interesting was probably the best word for it. She obviously didn't approve of that he was in Japan, and urged him to come back to the US as soon as he was done. Sol wasn't too sure if she had meant it as "simply" an order, or if she was as worried as she had seemed. Likely the former, though.

So, after he had called her, he went back to his new dorm room, introducing himself to those he shared dorms with, though he was hesitant to start befriending them as well, as he doubted he would see them much at all. Spending most of the day getting comfortable in his room and going through his stuff, he hadn't noticed how late it had gotten before he got a text message, telling him to get back to the Lance barracks.

Well, I did know it was happening, so I suppose I've got no one but myself to blame.

Making his way over to the barracks, he greeted those in the room and sat down in what he now considered to be his usual chair, waiting for the rest to arrive.

"This only adds more questions then answers. What is a British PI doing in Japan." The Half Demon asked, Daniel was about to respond, but both of them were interrupted by the sudden change in their surroundings, the landscape was literally tearing itself apart and changing before their eyes as the environment took on a red tint.

So this is Limbo eh? Classy.

"Fantastic ... who's the idiot this time ..." Clearly this wasn't the first time that the Half Demon had been down the rabbit hole, and judging from her tone of voice, it must have been recently. They weren't alone for long, as three demons in armour wielding lances quickly approached them.

"That's her alright, kill the male and take the mut's head." Spoke the demon who clearly marked himself as the leader. The Half Demon merely sighed and started an approach to the demons after grabbing one of her flash lights. As for Daniel, it would appear as though he was merely performing a few flourishing techniques.

"You should have brought more then three..." The Half Demon then activated the flash light she was holding, it generating a beam of energy. Daniel was thrilled at what was about to happen.

"She's right though, you three stooges ain't got a chance. Now then, let's play a game shall we. I was thinking along the lines of 52 CUT UP!!" Daniel announced as the playing cards floated in the air mid flourish before he launched them at the demon knights.

Wrapping up the report he was writing to the Elders, Viktor secured his gear then headed to Seth?s office. Knocking on the office door as he entered, Viktor made his way towards an empty chair without waiting for an invitation from Seth. Slumping his bulky frame down in the seat, he kicked his feet up on another chair and looked at the demon. ?So?you wanted to talk??
