William

After a good while of training with Viktor, William was headed back to his team homeroom. While he did get in a few hits against Viktor, he was mostly knocked around a bit by the more experience Viktor. Rubbing some parts on his body that felt sore as he thought 'darn...going to be bruise tomorrow...'

Though before he made it back he got a message from someone about heading back to the lance barracks. Sighing a bit as he just wanted to rest but know he couldn't yet. He made his way back as he saw Sol there. Doing a small wave as smiles at the others a bit nervous like. Sitting in a chair as he waits for others.

Tomas

Tomas was in the training room still, chatting with his friend and learning more pointers from him. Enjoying his time for once though that came to a end shortly as he got a call to report back to the barracks. Saying good bye to his new friend as he headed to the barracks. Seeing a few of the others teammates were there, he gave a nod to them and sat down. Wondering what this was all about.

Viktor's words still echoed in Jarrahs mind, even as he tried to focus on the coursework infront of him.

"All I'll say is, you need to do what you feel is the right thing."

The buzzing of his phone drew him even further from his history book and, after reading the message, he sighed, packed up his work and made his way back to the dorms. The distance between the library and the dorms wasn't very far, and with Jarrah's long stride he covered the distance even faster, arriving a few minutes later and taking a seat next to Tomas.

"Who are these guys?" He asks Tomas in a low whisper, nodding to the three unfamiliar people in the room.

Sierra

One of the Knights just dodged out of the way, the other swatted the cards out of the way and headed right for Sierra.

The one that dodged out of the way used some magic to turn his Lance into a bow, one that shot energy arrows, and started take shots at Daniel while staying mobile.

The one that went after Sierra was joined by the leader, forcing her to draw the other Beam Saber to defend her self. The Leader switching from a Lance to a zweihander while the other kept his Lances and started double teaming Sierra, who had dropped her glamor and was in her 'natural' state, while parrying blows from her attackers.

Seth

"Much as I'm sure you'd rather not. There is something you need to make crystal clear to your masters." Seth started, sliding a file across the table to Viktor, a folder that contained some information on the Greater Demon Lords in question "You might not get the sword back, ether at all or in one piece. One of my people placed the 'strain' of Gate back to it's source. They originate from the Western Kingdoms, which means, The Queens, Rozalin and Riviera."

Team Quarters

After having Mira put her experiment on hold, and finding Sierra not around those two moved to the center of the meeting area with the woman as as she looked over the group. She waited a few moments before just sighing. "Half Demons..." she muttered, slightly annoyed in tone, then addressed the group proper. "Greetings team 3" The woman started "I am Laura, to my left is Marie, and this is Duncan" Laura said motioning to the man. "We will be your personal trainers. Our job will to get you into 'operational' shape." Duncan giving Laura a nod after getting a message on his phone. "Starting now it seems."

?That is most?unfortunate.? Viktor replied, his over-exaggerated calm underscoring just how he really felt. He?d suspected that whomever had stolen the blade had been a mole; it was too well guarded for it not to be an inside job, but this? This complicated things immensely. ?One question that still bothers me is ?Why the Tepes Sword?? Even for the power needed to summon a Demon Lord into this world, there are other far easier to acquire items one could use. The Tepes Sword?s full potential can only be tapped into by a vampire, and even then, there are very few would could wield that power effectively. In the hands of even a Greater Demon Lord, it would seem unremarkable.?

His first instinct, when Seth threw shit in to that particular fan, was to call home and order an ?Empty Quiver? on as many stockpiles as the could then find a Gate to the Queen?s Realm; nukes might not faze demons as strong as them, but fission and fusion would play merry hell with their vassals?and a Lord only remains on their throne by having the biggest stick on hand. It was a purely emotional response, and certainly not the best one, but it had a satisfying appeal to it. I?ll keep that as a ?Plan B?.

The thoughts of anger and of nuclear fired retribution only stayed Viktor?s hand for a moment, before he reached for the folder. Flipping it open, he began to go through what was there; Background on the two sisters, those they stepped on either on their rise to power, or as a result of them hanging on to it. Most of it, while interesting, wasn?t super helpful?at least until he got to the page of known allies. Most of the names he didn?t know, but one he did. ?? He muttered in his native tongue.

?Okay,? He said after a moment, tapping the paper. ?Here?s a red flag. Lord Tepes is named as an ally of Their Graces. While I know ?loyalty? isn?t a big thing for you lot, Lord Tepes is not someone it would be wise to betray, Greater Lord or not.?

"Greetings team 3. I am Laura, to my left is Marie, and this is Duncan. We will be your personal trainers. Our job will to get you into 'operational' shape. Starting now it seems."

Sol raised an eyebrow. He had been informed of the squad exercises, but had... well, no idea that there would be personal trainers. While he didn't want to assume that they had no idea of how to do their job, it certainly didn't feel as if he was supposed to be here. He hadn't been involved in the planning of the training, nor had be been assessed, why send a message to him?

What could they teach me, after all? They're monster teachers, and I already know how to survive.

Sol doubted there was anything, not in this amount of time. Besides, he remembered training with his master, and he wasn't too eager to repeat that. He took the hat off his head, and ran a hand through his ruffled hair. His eyes were moving between the three trainers as he spoke, calmly and friendly, though there was a bit of sarcasm hidden underneath the rest.

"Right," he said, and got up from the chair. "Well, for starters, it's lovely to meet the three of you, and I'm sure you'll do a good job. I'm Solomon Thorn, you can call me Sol, and I'm here as a replacement for Lenah Spring. You should have some sort of report about it, since you have my number and all." He grinned, though there was a certain lack of eagerness as he spoke.

"However, that said, I'm not meant to be here now. I'm sure texting me was just a misunderstanding, of course, especially since I haven't signed myself up for any training. So, if you don't mind..." He placed the hat back on his head, and pushed it slightly back. Then he adjusted his scarf.

"I'm going to take this chance to get out of your hair before I get the pleasure of doing a thousand push-ups, or something."

Nonchalantly, he stepped towards the door, wondering if he should try to find Luke somewhere. Perhaps ask the guy out for a drink or some food.

Juliet was rather annoyed to receive the text message when she did, having been right about to get into some fun. However it was easy enough for her to make a rain check, almost anyone would be willing to wait on her after all, and she knew she needed to stay close to the team so she took a second to straighten her appearance and reported in.

"Greetings team 3. I am Laura, to my left is Marie, and this is Duncan. We will be your personal trainers. Our job will to get you into 'operational' shape. Starting now it seems."

Ah wonderful, personal trainers. How unnecessary, for me at least I imagine some of the others might benefit from it. I suppose it could be an opportunity, depending on what sort of training they put us through. Smirking she remembered the habit of certain business owners to do trust exercises, and the possibility of dropping someone during such an exercise. A cheap laugh, but amusing nonetheless. She doubted their training here would be something so simple and irrelevant though.

"I'm going to take this chance to get out of your hair before I get the pleasure of doing a thousand push-ups, or something."

"I imagine this isn't just about improving ourselves individually," she said "we'll work better as a team if we train together, and enough people are missing as it is, we won't be much of a team if half of us aren't here to learn how to work together."

Of course she hardly cared about how well the team worked together, but the more people who were here and the more she appeared to care about the team the more they would trust her. Besides keeping everyone here allowed her to observe them more easily, and could create opportunities.

It took longer than expected to start but nonetheless, Mira eventually began experimenting with the bullet, once she had figured out how she would approach such tests. Of course, qt first, she was concerned that her new enchantments would would react to the bullets in a negative way, but, after touching it and holding the bullet for a minute, she was confident that her friends enchantments and the bullet would play nice.

Then there was a knock at the door, interrupting her. She moved to answer it before stopping and hiding the bullet, expecting one of her dormmates but taking precautions nonetheless. Luckily for her, she was right. It was instead three officials who kindly herded her to the commons room where some of her dormmates waited before they explained who they were.

"Greetings team 3. I am Laura, to my left is Marie, and this is Duncan. We will be your personal trainers. Our job will to get you into 'operational' shape."

Operational shape...she wondered if they knew how fitting that term was for her. Nonetheless, she felt excited about finally getting some help with her training. While the school gym was helpful in testing new things and the teachers were on hand to help, generally speaking she found it much easier when the teacher didn't need to help a bunch of other people at the same time as well (that could be said of a lot of things, now that she thought about it).

"I imagine this isn't just about improving ourselves individually, we'll work better as a team if we train together, and enough people are missing as it is, we won't be much of a team if half of us aren't here to learn how to work together."

...Mirabelle hadn't considered that option. She had assumed from Seth's words that they were there to help them individually...maybe they would be doing both? Well, there was only one way to find out...

"Uh...well, Miss Laura, since we seem to have some confusion on the matter, could you clear it up for us? Are you focusing on individual training, team training, or both?"

Whilst the first playing card nearly hit one of the demons, with it being spared by a last minute dodge, the other two quickly swatted away the rest, with the cards quickly returning to Daniel. He watched as the leader turned his lance into some kind of longsword, the other keeping his lances just the way they were as they began to attack the Half Demon, resulting in her using the other energy blade to defend herself. Also worthy of note, it looked as though the form that she appeared in was merely an illusion, now sporting a more devilish design.

"Oh come on now lads! That's just not cricket." Daniel remarked, before immediately having to dodge roll to one side in order to avoid a nasty looking arrow that was aimed at his head; it appeared the other demon had turned his lance into a bow and started taking shots. Seeing as how he had little option to attack at the moment, he was forced to switch to defensive measures, and started throwing up cards to block/deflect in the incoming arrows.

Gotta find some way of getting round this blighter.

Tomas

Tomas was about to respond to Jarrah when the trainers started to introduce themselves. "Well, there you go." He whisper back as he wonder how much of training they were going to do. That or what type of training it is gonna be. Though some already ask the question he wanted to know so he didn't feel like repeating it.

William

William wasn't sure how much he like this idea. Though he wasn't going to voice his concerns just yet. He heard some questions as he nods in approval. Wondering about how they will be trained by these people. "Um...will this training be daily? or do you have a scheduled set up for us?"

Sierra

As the fight continued Sierra had been forced to switch from the Beam Sabers to her Bakuzan. The Beam Sabers ran out of power, and weren't having any noticeable effect on the weapons or armor of her demons she was fighting. Blocking and parrying while getting a counter in with her sword or the sheath.

Daniel was merely being kept on the defensive, for now, it seemed the Demon Knight was only interested in keeping him from helping Sierra. Though there was a vibe hanging in the air, something off about the movements of the Demons.Things like swing or shot speed varied.

This feeling intensified as Bakuzan actually broke and Sierra ended up getting a shallower slash across the chest then she should have had, by rights she should have been killed right then and there, but instead she was just seriously injured.

Seth

"It gets more complicated then that. Vald isn't just an 'ally', if you believe the rumor mill, he helped them get started on the path to where they are now." Seth said. "There may be some truth to it as well, cause there's a similar rumor about the Queens doing the same for Ansoth." Seth leaned back in his chair a bit. "Besides, I don't like the Queens for the theft. They know Vampire Artifacts are near useless in demon hands. No the problem I foresee from them will be if they get involved. If they don't know who's sword it is, they won't give a second thought to breaking it. If they do know, if the rumor is to believe, it's likely they'd seize the sword and return it to Vald them selves."

Seth stopped there a moment, pausing to think. "And the only reason I can think they'd want to get involved is if the swords theft is less about the power it contains, and more an attempt to start something between the Queens and the Tepes clan."

Lance Dorm-room

"If you where not to be included Mr Thorn, you would not have gotten the summons." Duncan said, motioning Sol to re-take his seat. "Ms Juliet is correct. These exercises will be more then simple combat training. Squad building, working as a single unit, will be the primary focus." He continued, then smirked "and lord knows you hunters could stand to learn a thing or two about 'working as a team'." he added, though caught a glare from Laura for the jab.

"Um...will this training be daily? or do you have a scheduled set up for us?" William asked.

"It will be daily drills, and all squad members will be required to attend. Viktor is meeting with Seth at the moment so he will be exempt this time." Laura said as the other two started for the door. "Met up at the Gym in 5, we will begin the first lessons then, and should that 'mut' decide to show her face, drag her sorry ass down to the gym as well." Laura added before leaving her self, her comment clearly referring to Sierra.

"I imagine this isn't just about improving ourselves individually, we'll work better as a team if we train together, and enough people are missing as it is, we won't be much of a team if half of us aren't here to learn how to work together."

Sol sighed. On one hand, he realized that he was being selfish. However, he really didn't like the idea of this. Besides, he was fine with being selfish every now and then.

"You know I like you sweeties, but I'm really not fond of team-work, and even less fond of this kind of training. I do my working out in the field," he started, though he had stopped walking as he spoke, just in case the trainers had something to add. Sadly, they did.

"If you where not to be included Mr Thorn, you would not have gotten the summons."

Duncan was motioning for him to go back to his seat, and Sol shrugged, doing as he was told. It was either that or dashing out the door, and though it was tempting, Sol recognized the need for some sort of team building.

"Ms Juliet is correct. These exercises will be more then simple combat training. Squad building, working as a single unit, will be the primary focus. And lord knows you hunters could stand to learn a thing or two about 'working as a team'."

Sol just grinned at the remark about hunters.

"Regardless of what you might think, hunters aren't meant to be some overwhelming force. There are organizations for that, organizations that could be replaced at a moment's notice by a completely identical one. Traditional hunters, like me, rely on our wits, on stealth and on our instincts. We don't need others getting in the way of that," he explained, his tone as friendly as ever.

I sort of doubt they would know the difference between a traditional hunter and a modern one, though.

Sol wasn't letting this get to him, sure it was a bit of an inconvenience, and sure, he'd rather never have shown up. The remark about the hunters was unnecessary, but he had said what he wanted on it, and shut up for the remainder of the briefing.

"It will be daily drills, and all squad members will be required to attend. Viktor is meeting with Seth at the moment so he will be exempt this time. Meet up at the Gym in 5, we will begin the first lessons then, and should that 'mut' decide to show her face, drag her sorry ass down to the gym as well."

Daily drills? And we're required to attend? Lenah is lucky that she's still at the sick bay.

Sol couldn't help but hide his face behind his scarf for a moment, gathering the will to get back up and find out where this gym was. He closed his eyes. This was definitely not how he had planned his evening. Nope. Not at all. And it was definitely not what he had thought he'd be doing every day.

I'd rather be back with my master right now.

However, he took a deep breath, and stood back up after the trainers had left. Rather, he forced himself up in one quick motion, suddenly and unexpected.

"Okay then!" he said, as eagerly as he could make himself sound. There was a genuine smile on his face, as he tried to be as optimistic about this as he could. Luckily for Sol, he was good at seeing the good in bad things, well, sort of at least. Besides, it could be fun, even if their trainers seemed sour at best.

"Let's get this over with! Someone, lead the way," he told the others, then added; "Because I have no idea where the gym is, and I'd rather not get in trouble. I imagine not showing up now would mean that tomorrow will be worse."

"Ms Juliet is correct. These exercises will be more then simple combat training. Squad building, working as a single unit, will be the primary focus. And lord knows you hunters could stand to learn a thing or two about 'working as a team'."

Well...that stunk. As far as she knew, her group had seemed to work pretty well together so she didn't see the need for specialized training in that area...unless the temple team had run into some of those problems. Still, she would trust the professionals on this, if they felt they needed training then she would train...though, their professionalism was somewhat in question due to Duncan's remark at the end. Thankfully Laura shut him up with a glare so...professionalism maintained?

"It will be daily drills, and all squad members will be required to attend. Viktor is meeting with Seth at the moment so he will be exempt this time. Met up at the Gym in 5, we will begin the first lessons then, and should that 'mut' decide to show her face, drag her sorry ass down to the gym as well."

Nope. Not maintained in the slightest.

She sighed inwardly at this new situation. It would seem that a precious few people knew the meaning of kindness or professionalism at this school, much to her annoyance. Instead, everyone seemed to walk around with a chip on their shoulder and a withering lack of even the most basic decency. To be honest, she found it aggravating, especially since she at least extended the courtesy of being polite dispite that. Still, she guessed that she should be thankful that she found a small group of people whom did seem to know how to be polite...or at least assume a reasonable facsimile of it.

She wouldn't get to hung up on the basic grade namecalling towards her friend, that would be Sierra's to deal with, and instead focused on something that Laura had said. She was pretty sure Viktor hated demons...so, why was he in a meeting with Seth? Did it have to do with their mission? Well...why would they try to hide it then and not discuss it with the other relevant members?

"Okay then! Let's get this over with! Someone, lead the way, Because I have no idea where the gym is, and I'd rather not get in trouble. I imagine not showing up now would mean that tomorrow will be worse."

Mirabelle popped up at that, snapping out of her wanderings. Besides, it was probably best that she not think too hard on what they were doing...it was likely nothing serious anyways.

Getting up from her seat, she turned to Sol and said, "Here, i'll take you there.", before walking to the door, waiting to lead him.

"Um...your name is Solomon, right? ...I just want to make sure that i heard right."

Daniel was busy darting about the placing, summoning up cards to block the unending barrage of arrows that came his way, though something in the air appeared to be altering the speed in which the arrows were being launched from the bow; he couldn't exactly think of a precise reason as to what or why it was happening right this second as he had bigger things to worry about.

What few occasional glances he caught of the Half Demon showed him that she was putting up a valiant effort against her pursuers, though at one point, the head demon's blade managed a deep cut across her chest. By Daniel's reckoning, the demoness should have keeled over now, but whether it was through luck or some over force at work, she still stood.

I'll give her credit where it's due, she is capable of holding her own. Right now though, I've got to get this archer off his game for just a second, then I'll have him.

To that end, Daniel stopped where he stood, kneeling down, he summoned up a large card to act as a shield and began searching through his deck for anything that might give him an advantage, or at the very least, a means to balance the playing field. Meanwhile, with every shot that the card shield took, it progressively got smaller, if Daniel didn't find his ace in the hole soon, he'd be skewered.

Come on, come on, give me something lucky here, don't make me believe in that whole 'heart of the cards' nonsense.

It was then that he pulled two cards at once, a smile appeared on his face. One card was a picture of a mirror, whilst the other was that of a cloud. Good timing as well, as the card shield had almost broken.

Well, what do you know, guess this is my lucky day. With these two cards combined, I got myself a pretty good hand.

Just as the shield broke, Daniel activated the cloud card, summoning a cloud of smoke to obscure the archer's view briefly. Amidst the confusion, a flurry of cards shot out and were scattered across the floor. When the smoke had settled, up stood Daniel, at least that is what the demon knight would think it was, in actuality, it was a card made doppelgänger, whereas the real one was, somewhere else.

Viktor arched an eyebrow at Seth?s mentioned rumour about Lord Tepes; there were persistent ones, of the same vein, from his side of the fence, so to hear it from Seth as well gave it a note of credibility. It?d make sense he?d get involved?he?s been here almost as long as the demons. ?I doubt they?d destroy it.? He said after a moment. ?If Their Graces are as familiar with Lord Tepes as the rumours imply, they?d recognize the Tepes Crest that?s etched into the blade; and frankly, while the clan Elders would be distraught at the massive loss of ?face? of having Their Graces return the blade to House Tepes, I would just be grateful that it?s out of the hands of whomever tried to misuse it.?

?As for your theory about someone trying to play Their Graces against House Tepes, that strikes me as a phenomenally stupid thing to do. Sure both parties have enemies that would love to see them brought down; but given the rumoured closeness between Their Graces and Lord Tepes, any attempt is likely to fail, and when it does, all its going to accomplish is to bring the weight of both parties crashing down on whomever masterminded the whole deal. I have only met Lord Tepes a few times, but he is not someone I?d want after me.?

Tomas

Tomas hoped that everything was going to go well with this training. Though from how some of the teammates acted and as well as the trainers acted, he highly doubt that. Sighing as he wonders how much of a hassle this was going to be before everything actually fucking got along with each other. Getting up and following the others out the door. "Well lets see how well we can work together."

William

William gulped a bit as he heard one of the trainers called the teammates a 'mutt'. The only person he could think was Sierra, since he didn't she would referee Viktor a mutt since he in a meeting with Seth. While Sierra the only one who is missing from the meeting. Hoping nothing trouble comes from this as he knew teamwork as key in future missions.

Seeing the others getting up as he does the same. Following them a few steps behind as he was both looking forward to working with his teammates, and dreading it at the same time.

"Here, i'll take you there."

"Thanks," Sol replied, and started following her. Apparently Lenah hadn't been kidding when she said Mira was nice. Not that Sol had doubted it, Lenah knew how to read people well enough, and she rarely referred to someone as nice. Especially not someone who had broken her ribs, even if it hadn't been intended.

"Um...your name is Solomon, right? ...I just want to make sure that i heard right."

"Yes, but please, call me Sol. I mean..." he trailed off, he had repeated that quite a lot of times, perhaps it was time to actually give a reason.

"You see, when I was a child, it was me, Solomon, and my older brother, Samuel, which are quite similar names. Quite a mouthful if you're calling both too. Of course, he ended up being called Sam and Sammy, but Solomon isn't usually shortened as far as I know, so I spent weeks trying to get my parents to call me Sol instead of Solomon, and... I suppose it just stuck. Besides," he trailed off for a short moment, trying to think of how to say it.

No reason to get more into my past. Might be a real downer.

"I suppose I've not felt like Solomon for quite some time," he settled on, grinning. "And Sol is latin for the Sun, which is pretty cool."

"Well lets see how well we can work together."

Sol chuckled at the clearly not too pleased man. He didn't really know the other's name, yet he briefly turned to look at him. Rather than asking for a name, he could pick it up later.

"Smile, pretty boy," Sol said instead, jokingly. "If they think we're enjoying it, they might be more willing to listen to suggestions, should that be needed."

Having said that, he kept following Mira to the gym, walking inside and wondering if the trainers were already there, prepared, or if they'd be late.

I'm not sure which would be more satisfying.

Seth's Office

"Given how you and I are pretty much the standard for Demon/Vampire relations, I'd wager they think it's a strained 'barely tolerating each-other for our owe ends' kind of alliance. Though, I freely admit I haven't cared enough about this rumor to find out if there's any truth to it, or how relations are between the Queens and Vladamir." Seth said with a verbal shrug at the end.

"Be ready for a 'field trip' Viktor, We're going to take a little trip to the Demon Realm and get in-front of this."

Limbo

The Knight keeping Daniel busy was hardly fooled. He knew it was just a distraction or a trap, or both, but at the same time he couldn't feel Daniels presence like before, even after the smoke cleared and Daniel seemed to be right there.

The Knight however was left no choice but to 'spring' we her figured to be a trap, but he didn't draw an arrow back till after a very clear moment of hesitation, looking around and trying to feel out his preys location. He let the arrow fly and made him self ready to move if need be.

Mean while, Sierra's two on one fight had turned to a one on one fight. The Leader had backed off and let the Knight with the Lance fight her alone, though his mannerisms suggested he was distracted by something, likely some form of communication with others.

Sierra was still struggling, even with only one opponent to deal with now, and the fact she'd been force to bring out her Claymore didn't help, it being bigger and heavier then her now broken Katana.

After a few moments though. "We have been ordered to withdraw. The General has a mission for us." Both Knights nodded and the one fighting Sierra broke her guard, palm slapped the wound on her chest and knocked her down before sprouting his wings and taking off, the Archer like wise broke off, and flew away. The Leader was last to take wing and leave.

Gym

The Trainers where indeed in the gym, and looked to be going over a few final details before they started the drills. Though the lack of obvious equipment probably didn't leave a good first impression.

The Instructors did notice the team coming in though, and waited till they where all present before giving a nod to Marie, who snapped her fingers, which caused the room to distort, having activated a spell of some kind. A dark purple hue fell over the Gym and while the Gym now seemed have the things they'd be using for they're drills, it was different then Limbo, as besides the purple hue over everything the gym hadn't changed at all.

"Be ready for a 'field trip' Viktor, We're going to take a little trip to the Demon Realm and get in-front of this."

He couldn?t help but chuckle at Seth?s all too accurate summarization of the usual Demonic/Vampiric relations, but his mood soured once more at the mention of a trip. ?Oh fantastic.? He deadpanned. ?That?s tied with an Iscariot holding cell as ?Shitty Place I Never Want to Visit.? If he was of House Tepes, it?d be different. Assuming the rumours were true, Their Graces?and their retainers?would hesitate before accosting him; but he wasn?t a member of House Tepes, or even House Bathory, the other surviving Great House. He was just some flunky from one of the Clans, he doubted they?d give a shit who he was allied with. He muttered in his native tongue.

?Well if we?re going to do this, let?s just get it over and done with.? He said a bit louder, a hand automatically slipping under his arm to check his weapon.

"Well lets see how well we can work together."

"I'm looking forward to it," Juliet said with a brief smirk, before she turned to follow their trainers into the gym.

Juliet raised an eyebrow as their training equipment materialized, it seemed a waste of power when they could just use regular equipment. But then again maybe it was special and would aid their training, or maybe they were afraid the equipment might break if it was normal. Not that weightlifting seemed like it would give them much of an advantage, sparring was better training for combat in her opinion.

"Ooh, mood lighting," she said dryly, clearly unimpressed.

Whilst the Archer Demon kept its sights trained on the fake Daniel, the real one was lurking in the shadows behind him, waiting for the exact moment to pounce. Eventually the Demon let loose an arrow that struck the doppelgänger Daniel right in the head, sending it backwards, but as it did, it glowed before turning into a flurry of cards that went seemingly up into the air.

"Heh heh heh. Right into my trap." Daniel snickered, before throwing a card at the demon's feet, which triggered a small, non-damaging blast that knocked the archer down. The demon quickly picked himself up and was ready to let loose another arrow, when the Leader began talking.

"We have been ordered to withdraw. The General has a mission for us." The other two demons nodded in agreement before sprouting their wings and flying away. Meanwhile, the Leader Demon just stood their for a moment watching before taking flight himself. Things started to return to normal, the world losing its reddish hue and the scenery pulling itself back together.

"Well, for me first trip into Limbo, it was certainly an experience." Daniel remarked allowed to no one in particular. He then looked over to see the Half Demon lying on the ground, still with that nasty looking cut across her chest. He pondered for a moment on what to do next.

On one hand, she was a demon, half-breed or not, and he should just let her bleed out. On the other hand, he was generally curious as to why those Demon Knights were after her, and he wouldn't feel right letting someone with serious injuries just perish like that. In the end, his more noble side won out against his more traditional mindset and Daniel rushed over to her aid. When he reached her side, Daniel knelt down beside her.

"We best get you some help, and quick. Do you know of some place where we can get you patched up? And some rest for that matter."
