I've heard all the troll comments before. It's sad that none of you people can state a simple case, you have to resort to childish insults and attacks.
Well if you want a proper answer then please, ask away. I just want to know why you hate me?

This was something posted on 4chan about the topic, "We are not our IPs. We are not our Computers. We are not our fucking porn folders.
We are not real consumers, and we never watch commercials. We don't want to be rock gods, and movie stars because we know what shallow hollow fucked lives they truly have.
We do have a great depression. We do have a great war. It is the information war and our fight is the fight of trying to get the corporations dicks out of our ears. We want to get the movie business balls out of our eyes and not cringe when we see a ridiculous price tag for something that should be free.
Our enemies are people who live abnormal lifestyles due to the abnormal paychecks they receive for something they love. Loving art should not be condemnable, and rebellion has pushed history forward. Sometimes in darkness, sometimes in light, but whenever it's in the name of knowledge, it can never be toward the dark.
So fuck you Tyler Durden, Fuck you that guy from kiss with the tongue, fuck you MPA, fuck you labels, fuck you studios.
You do NOT have the right to fuck up lives because they wanted music and art. You do NOT have the right to fuck up lives because they did something when they didn't disagree, instead of just whining and being raped.
You CANNOT fuck up people when they DO NO HARM except delay your deluxe swimming pool filled with jello and sharks with lazers a few more months.
WHAT YOU DO, IS NOT WORTH WHAT YOU MAKE.
Michelangelo wasn't wealthy. Beethoven was poor. Mozart was poor. Leo Da Vinci was rich by birth not by his art. Most artists lived in poverty and they were gods who shaped the world.
YOU ARE NONE OF THESE YET YOU EXPECT TO LIVE BETTER THAN THEM.
We are not anon, because you know us. We're your fucking FANS. And we don't take kindly to your kind."

and i believe it 100%, gene Simmons cant win, even with the FBI with him he cant stop piracy only hinder it. this makes me proud to be anonymous

"stands..." "claps" kinda made me crap with joy not gunna lie...i applaude you good sir

Yes, fuck yes, this all this, every single scrap of this, personally I think someone needs to teach these million dollar an hour making rich fucks a god damn lesson in humility. I officially like Anon in this fight.
in spite of previous efforts to maintain a true neutral stance on the topic... I find myself applauding as well... well played, gentlemen. I present to you the thought of an owl with a top hat and monocle. Someone put a picture to my words!
I fully agree as well!

Plus, like other people have said, anon is all over the world. Wake up Gene Simmons, the FBI does not have jurisdiction over the entire world! You know how difficult it is to trial someone from another country, especially if that country doesn't have an organisation like MPAA or whatever it's called? There are plenty of countries that don't even have proper antipiracy laws. So you can't possibly take out all the anons. Sure, maybe you could catch some in the US. But the rest will remain. And, even if they would all be caught, it would still not stop piracy.

Trying to catch members of anonymous will be like catching wet soap in a tub of lubricant. On the other hand its always fun to see people try so I encourage both sides to go at it like angry dogs.

Can I quote you in an ED Article?

Well I have no idea what an ED article is but by all means. Dont feel you have to ask somebody for permission to quote them, unless you are saying it in some sort of sarcastic gesture. Please explain what an ED article is.

It was a statement he made, probably mostly as a joke.
It's the record companies that are the money grubbers here, I wish Gene would realize that but I wouldn't attack him for being ignorant.
Your attacking the guy who has nothing to do with the real problem. If anon is so big and bad, why are they picking on him and not the RIAA? I mean I haven't heard about them getting hacked, maybe anon is too scared to go after anything except an easy target.
Quote fight club all you want, at least Tyler Dudren wasn't beating up celebrities because they disagreed with him. These guys are not revolutionaries, they're cowards.

You seem to be defending this group simply because you disagree with Gene. He is not the head of the FBI, he is not running the RIAA, why does he need to be shut up?
Why is he not allowed to spread his ignorant opinion like anon and every other person online is? Because he didn't hide behind a screen name?
If it was a joke or not, that remains to be seen. It's not that i love anonymous so much, it's that i don't like Simmons' aproach here. And i don't mean him stating his opinion. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but there is quite a large differrence between stating your opinion and threatening to sue people for everything they have.

Well if you want a proper answer then please, ask away. I just want to know why you hate me?
You? Like I said, are you even a part of that group or are you just latching on?

I hate any group that has to attack somebody because they decided to say something that is disagreed with. I disagree with him, but I don't feel the need to attack people based on their beliefs.
I hate you because you are incapable of explaining why you do the things you do. You just repeat the standard troll catchphrases when somebody challenges your beliefs.

So why do you support this group? Can you answer with anything other than a lame joke? I mean an original joke is at least amusing but a troll can't even produce that. It's just the same boring one liners, like an annoying video game character.
Lets start from the beginning. I am Anonymus. I have never passed a membership test because all one needs to do to become Anonymus (or a member of the group known as Anonymus, it all depends on your interpretation) is to declare themselves Anonymus (or an "anon" if you follow the group philosophy). Anonymus has no set reason to exist. This does not mean that Anonymus has no reason to exist. On the contrary, that reason to exist can be anything. My own interpretation of Anonymus (one that is dieing out as "the cancer" spreads) is that on a persona. We are Anonymus. Many take the same identity in-order to act as one. Anonymus is not an entity by it self as it is sometimes made out to be. Anonymus is a vehicle for ideas and movements. It is around these ideas that Anonymus builds it existence on. Let me explain. This thread is about Gene Simmons, a man known for his aggressive stance on file sharing. Last month Anonymus began participating in something called "Operation Payback" this I am sure you are aware of and I will not go into its details here. The origin of Operation Payback is knowledge I do not have at hand. Its however origin is irrelevant in this case as all that matters was that Anonymus decided to take part. A call was sent out to anyone that was listening advising the users of the internet about this. Many responded and took up the mantle of Anonymus. I for one did not take part in any of the attacks that have taken place as of yet but this does not mean I do not wish to take part. Why you ask? Why do I wish to DoS websites? Because. Just because. I agree with the ideals of Operation Payback. All we may be doing is throwing small pebbles, nay, handfuls of dirt at a great castle. But it is the spirit in which we through these handfuls of dirt that is important to me. I'm not a martyr for some cause here. I just one of many people who together wished to voice their opinions. And that is why I am Anonymus. We are at it loosest from, a community. One who's numbers shift and flow like mountains of sand. We have no core values and ideals save the notion of working together as one. But yet as individuals. As for why we do what we do? How would I know! Depends on whatever Anonymus is doing. Sometimes Anonymus wants to organize birthdays for WWII veterans, sometimes it wants to close pools. There is but one thing that is common through all of Anonymus though. Give us a reason to and we will do it. People have tried to to everything from free hugs campaigns for autistic children to the ordering of millions of pizzas for someone ("the cancer" means that the latter is most common). As for myself Anonymus I tend to support political efforts or the occasional humanitarian movement. I am human after all. And I get a lot of flak from Anonymus for that.

Right....except it wasn't really a threat.
But ok, I'll play ball. So anon has never made any threats?
Anybody that says anything that can be interpreted as a threat has to be attacked now? Your justifying an irrational act. There is no reason to do this, nothing is gained. It's simply a childish expression of anger. It's like if a kid's mom tells him he needs to get off the phone and go to bed and he stays on but his brother tells him he should listen to mommy, then the kid hits the brother.
RIAA and these other anti pirating groups try to stop us from letting information flow freely. Gene agrees with them, and he's the easier target. We attacked gene.
Do you not see the problem with this logic? If these guys were really fighting for freedom on the internet, they would be attacking RIAA for suppressing it.
You said it yourself, Gene doesn't have that power. Why does he need to be attacked?
"Our legal team and the FBI have been on the case and we have found a few, shall we say 'adventurous' young people, who feel they are above the law. And, as stated in my MIPCOM speech, we will sue their pants off. First, they will be punished. Second, they might find their little butts in jail, right next to someone who's been there for years and is looking for a new girl friend."

That sounds like a threat to me. Perhaps i am misinterpreting it though.

That sounds like a threat to me. Perhaps i am misinterpreting it though.
Wasn't that what he said after the attack?

If so, can you tell me what he said to justify a personal attack on him?
I mean quoting what he said after his website was attacked is really bias. That's like keying a guys car (another act considered "rebellious" by another annoying group, except that one likes to paint up as clowns) and then justifying it by the threats he made to you after you did this.

Even if he did threaten to sue them, why does this justify an attack?
What we say is nothing. Everyone has the right to let stupid things slip. The only reason he is paying for this is because he's a figure that the media takes interest in.
I really hate to quote the deep talking batman, but....don't make me say it please....It's not what we say, but our actions that define us.

So Gene gets attacked for saying something while the RIAA is just fine even though they actually do much worse than what gene has done.
Sorry, i copied the wrong part.
"Make sure your brand is protected, be litigious, sue anybody - take their homes, their cars, don't let anybody cross that line," he said at the time. "The music industry was asleep at the wheel and didn't have the balls to go and sue every fresh-faced, freckle-faced college kid who downloaded a clip, so now we're left with hundreds of people without jobs."
This is what he said before his site was attacked, aparently.

And, as far as i can understand from the article, those organizations like the RIAA have been targeted too. I don't know that much about this whole thing, so as to determin if what they did to Simmons is worse then what they did to the RIAA or the other groups.

And i don't agree that what we say is nothing. I do believe sometimes people take what is said to heart too much, but that is the world we live in. You really can suffer for your own words, not just for your actions.

ALso, i don't really know that much about batman, to know what's with that quote. :)

http://pandalabs.pandasecurity.com/4chan-users-organize-ddos-against-mpaa/

Theres a war between Anon and corporations happening behind the media's back. Gene basicly just stepped right in middle of it all and spouted the most corrupted and hypocritic line of bs he could come up with while defending the corporations.

Anon said:
A long time ago, copyright was meant to stimulate creativity. Now, copyright is abused to assure a steady flow of income. Andrew Crossley was one of the lawyers that found a way to turn piracy into money. We pirates, as so dubbed by the media, have been claiming that the entertainment industries have been unable to come up with new business models. We could not have been more wrong. From the leaked ACS:Law emails, we learned that it was not the artists, not the people actually working for their money, but the lawyers that found a way to exploit a lucrative business model based on copyright. Since copyright protects intellectual property for more than 70 years, everything made after 1935 can be exploited by pay-up-or-else letters. Money can be made by exploiting a law to prevent other people from exploiting your work.

The piracy witch-hunt is not to stop piracy. It is not to secure the artist?s income; it is just another business model allowing a group of lawyers to do what they do best: defend their statements with law. They found a way to make it legit to financially rape exploit children. And the entertainment industry associations even openly stated that they don?t intend to share the money from this exploitation with the artists. Instead, they intend to use it to start even more lawsuits. This is the extreme opposite of what copyright was intended for. Judge and jury must be brought to understanding that the entertainment industries are not interested in stopping piracy, but exploiting it. This is what kills creativity. This is what discourages the real artists.

...

Operation Payback is the movement, the protest itself, the moving force that tries, where we uncover how deep the copyright exploitation goes nowadays. That movement cannot be turned away, stopped, concluded. As long as anybody continues to fight for this cause, the operation will exist.

The operation, in the least, is a success. The operation is not lead by a core group anymore. It is decentralizing and spreading. It?s gaining strength and momentum. At this point in time, the future of the operation is unknown.

It was in batman begins. Decent movie, a little slow but decent with the right drugs.

Yes people are attacked for what they say, but they shouldn't be.
Yes it could sound like a threat if you want it too, it could also sound like the angry rants of a man that doesn't know what group is fucking him over. He's ignorant, educate him then. Don't attack him.

I'm sure a few hackers have tried attacking the RIAA but why doesn't anon invest all of it's resources in this? Wouldn't all of them agree on this cause?
Of course not, because attacking some barely famous celebrity gets you more publicity and it's safer.
I'm not sure he or anyone would listen to what a bunch of random people on the internet have to say. So, i'm not sure how to go about educating him.
And, again, anon does attack the big organizations as well. But i'm not sure they can "invest all of it's resources", because they are a group of random people. It's hard to get everyone on bord. It's not like they're an organization or anything like that. It's hard to organize everyone that's part of that group.
I don't know if they'll get more publicity out of this than out of attacking the RIAA or MPAA... Gene Simmons is not as big a star as he used to be in his younger days. He is still famous, granted.

Can't beat anonymous. It's not an individual nor a company.
The more he goes after "them" the more will join their "cause" (trolling).

Other than that, that guy sounds like a pretty big dick. Probably deserved whatever happens to him.
