Sure you can. It's called paintball. Of course there are differences between FPS games and paintball, but to say there's no difference between playing, say, MLB 10: The Show and playing in real life is outright ignorant.Crypticonic said:I dont like sports games that much.........I mean if you want to play tennis or soccer go to a freaken park AND PLAY!!!. You cant say that for FPS though
Just go to a park and play soccer? It'd need to not be raining outside, and there'd have to be an available field, and I'd need to find a few friends to play it with at the drop of a hat (let alone the 21 I'd need for a full two teams).
Just go outside and play... hockey? It's summer, and indoor rink time costs money. No, roller/floor hockey is not quite the same.
In a baseball game I can control pitchers with a wide range of pitches to outwit batters with. One game I have a four-seam fastball, a slider and a circle change, another I'll have a cutter, curveball, splitter and a palmball. Do you want to try learning all those pitches in real life?
To say nothing of the fact that there's a limit to how much one can play real life sports over a given time because of fatigue.
As for genres I hate, I hate none. I've got better things to do than that.
