War games and sports games. No other genres make me rage when I see them. Except maybe party games. But they'd be the third genre I hate, then.

That's incredibly flawed logic. You could say that about ANY game. Like FPS games? Join the Army.
The Army is nothing like most FPS games, something AA3 is trying to explain, plus you can die.

Like JRPGs? Move to fucking Japan, buy some bright colored clothes, and get a stupid haircut.
That doesn't do it at all, that's just a stupid idea.

Like flight sims? Buy a plane. Get my point?
That costs a lot of money. Playing basketball or soccer is entirely free. Playing hockey costs a few bucks for ice and skate rental.
I was being incredibly facetious. I was actually in the Army for a while.

I hate sports-games, console-FPS:s, RTS:s, Puzzle-games, JRPG:s, Casino-games, most horror-games,
racing-games, Schmups, Simulation Games, MMORPG:s, Flash-games, platformers and console-RPG:s.
I hate alot of things because I´m a proud member of the PC-gamer master-race, only play RPG:s and FPS:s and am afraid to give anything a second chance because I might like it. Oh and did I mention indie-games, innovation makes me rage.

JRPGs. Not because of the games, you see. I've played a fair few great JRPGs (SNES emulator on my mobile with a copy of Front Mission and Tales of Phantasia. Hells yes), but what puts me off are the fans. We get a few of them on this forum.

Every thing from "If you don't like JRPG music, you can't possibly have any taste in music at all", to "JRPGS are SUPERIOR to other RPGs and I'm right."

And I hate them all.

I've tried so many FPSs and only one I ever really enjoyed was Portal (barely counts as a shooter) as perspective messes with my head.

First Person Shooters. They're everywhere and they're tedious.

Not really a genre, but Football (Soccer) games. It baffles me just how popular they are.

Rythm games. I don't get them, don't think they're fun either. You're trying to press the buttons when they reach the end of a bar. Alternatively I'd say jRPGs. I used to like them (on the SNES), I just don't like these days' jRPGs.

PC FPS games. They just don't work if you ask me, it shouldn't be a continuing market. FPS should be limited to console.
=/ Why not? I mean I can understand the easyness of consoles, put the disc in, start up matchmaking etc. But I rather like my mods, mouse, custom games, dedicated servers and very few 12yo's shouting through my mic.

Wow, you're the first person i've heard say FPS should be console-only. Most people say the opposite. You should play the Source FPS's (Counter Strike, HL2, L4D etc), great FPS's for PC.

I agree that RTS should be limited to PC too, there's too much micromanagement for them to work with a game-pad.

Never been a big fan of RTS games, i'm too much of a perfectionist and hate putting effort into a base and having it destroyed. Makes me feel really scrappy and unorganized. Though if you saw my bedroom you'd see that doesn't reflect me at all in real life xD

RTS - real time takes the strategy out of it, particularly given the way time is accelerated. I'll take a TBS any day.

Sports games - they're pointless, play the real thing.

Casual sports games - doubly pointless, there isn't even the fantasy football/hockey/etc league aspect to them.

(Golf gets excluded since it's bloody expensive, so it's not like it's something you can play on the weekend with friends).

Wrestling games - I dislike watching pro wrestling, so this isn't surprising.

"Realistic" first person shooters - give me gonzo

Sports and wrestling games i agree with you on mainly because we can pretty much do sports in the outdoors while with a game such as command and conquer or final fantasy we pretty much cannot attempt to try in the real world.

I hate MMORPGs, racing games, and sports games. Also I like JRPGs, but it depends on the game.

Racing games are something of a pet peeve of mine. Just the "serious" ones though, like Gran Turismo(sp?). They just seem really, really boring, and they very obviously rely on multiplayer, which is never a good sign of any game.
I also dislike arcade fighting games, but only cuz I can never pull off the crazy combos. When I can, I love em.

The only decent racing game i still like at this point is still Burnout Paradise mainly because its quite crazy but then again the multiplayer got ruined when they put the knight rider "god" car as DLC.

Everything was fine when it was just the Dalorean.

I am fucking sick of Bioware RPGs. All these choices and dialogue options...not enough combat.

Bioware games have a lower gameplay/dialogue ratio than even some of the wordiest of JRPGs.

I'm not the twitch gamer who needs to kill one enemy every 10 seconds or his head explodes, but CHRIST! I enter a new town, and proceed to spend the next 2 hours talking to people, gathering sidequests, making deliveries for sidequests, and then moving onto the section of areas that progress the main story. And they're not even GOOD sidequests. Especially in Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2. Jade Empire had some fun ones, though.

Sure, they have "role playing", but that doesn't fix the fact that the conversations outside of your main squad are boring as hell. And that the dialogue options all flow into the same conversation towards the end.

Also, RTSes...

Any game where I can play a match for over an hour, win or lose, and then have NOTHING to show for it afterword when the next match starts with a clean slate, can go fuck off!

None. There is no genre that I absolutely hate. There are those I don't generally enjoy as a rule like Fighting, Sports, Rhythm/Music, MMO, and to a lesser extent RTS & FPS.

EDIT: Oops, I forgot Racing, never really been much into those either.

I can see your point here. One of the reasons I loved Fallout 3 was that if you were sick of all the talking, you could just say "fuck it" and wipe out a whole town if you wanted. Same with Oblivion (though in that it was a bit harder).
