How about sexual assault and child pornography charges? That mother should be ashamed of herself for not pressing charges.
EDIT: Sexism works both ways. Misdemeanor charges? Please.

If they were trying to do that to me I would have at least tried to throw a punch. Not being allowed to hit girls has reasonable limits, just like everything else should.

The averaged 8th grader is about 95-105 pounds (female). The average 5th grader is 70-77 (Male). By the time the boy thought he was in enough trouble to throw out the 'don't hit girls' rule, he was already scrambling to keep his shorts on.

People need to get it through their heads that females, especially at that age where there isn't much of a physical difference, can be just as horrible and violent as males if given the chance. The mother should absolutely be pressing charges, this is the kind of thing that can scar someone for life.

This is sexual assault no matter who was doing what, and those girls need to be punished to the full extent of the law. At the very least they should be expelled.

Fuck these double standards.
Wahey, finally! A woman on these boards I don't have to get into a protracted fight with! Although you are a self-professed ladette, so perhaps that's why?
I hate double standards in all forms and want everyone to be equel. It'd be hypocritical of me to want women to be treated as equels and not be open to the same punishments as our male counterparts. Misandry is as real an issue as misogyny.

Awesome, you just made it to my friends list. Both for not thinking that misandry is some sort of made up word that male rights activists like to trot out when they're arguing with the really objectified members of society, y'know, people who're under-represented at the top of the corporate ladder. Pah, MRAs, what do they have to complain about? Consistently lower academic achievements of boys, consistently higher criminalisation of boys and men, consistently higher conviction rates and sentencing for men, consistently shittier deals in divorce proceedings... Oh wait.

Anyway, let's be chums!

Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. The kid's going to be scarred for life, and the girls aren't even punished.

This makes me sad. If the Genders were reversed, the boys would be in jail. Sad to see that so few can see blatant misandry. Sad that some people think that the mother is right. The justice system really needs an overhaul. Double standards everywhere.

I'm with the other people on the child pornography thing.

It's illegal to film or take pictures of naked minors. (Above a certain age, I think. Noone has gone to jail over baby pictures as far as I remember).

It's even illegal for a child to have naked pictures of themselves.
Actually, despite what most people think, a nude picture of a child doesn't automatically count as child porn, take the vietnam war girl photo for example. It depends on the context of the photo whether it is judged to be "obsene" or "indecent" in the US and UK respectively, which is why nude baby photos aren't usually illegal.

But this particular video would definitely be against the law and I think these girls should have had charges pressed against them, they're old enough to be responsible for their actions.

This disgustes me I honestly can't believe they would do that and not get charged, I mean come on police you got a fucking video of them doing it, it's an easy conviction. This is basically gender double-standards at its worst and if the genders were reversed the boys would get juvi no questions asked yet these girls are getting off with what their parents punish them with, which I'm gonna call out right now and guess it's going to be no punishment.

Has anyone asked the boy if he would like to press charges? I'd take the fucking pricks to town.

I don't really like the idea that they get off even if the mother/boy don't decide to prosecute anyway. At 14 you know what you're fucking doing.

The boy's eleven, I'm sure he feels emasculated enough without the (ridiculous, mind you) added shame of running to an authority figure. He didn't even tell his parents, his brother did. Masculinity is bullshit.

Whether he would do it or not isn't the point, actually asking him is. I just wonder if that's even been taken into account.

I think the mother is ignorant of what happened.

If you reverse the act (three 14 year old boys stripped an 11 year girl old naked) they would've gone for attempted gang-rape.

Instead...a joke.
Honestly couldn't have put it better than this. It's a piss take to say that the girls face misdemeanor charges when everyone knows for a fact that it would have at the very least been a sexual assault charge on three boys. I guess it just shows the rampant sexism that still goes on today and isn't tackled.

The school shouldn't do anything, nor should the mother. Pressing charges at such a young age would do very little good for either party. What needs to happen is proper discipline from the parents of the children, although with the girls being 14 it may be that the criminal charges would be the only useful option.

14 isn't too young to be brought up on criminal charges. By the time I was 13, I understood that my actions had consequences. So by 14, they no longer have an excuse.

That's the reason why I doubled back on my argument that the mother shouldn't press charges. If after 14 years of parenting they don't know not to strip a kid down and kneel on his neck then the parent's won't be able to punish them sufficiently. By 14 you should know this sort of stuff isn't right, so I think I'd have to agree that pressing charges would be the right course of action.

So what happens if next week this kid gets 5 of his friends together jumps one of these girls, hold her down and strip her naked in public and posts the video to the Internet? Is it still just a prank gone too far?

The link is broken for me.

Anyway judging by what others have said Im pissed that once again when a girl is the offender and she gets off scott free.
There were three girls, They stripped an 11 year old boy useing force. One of witch perceded to record as they did so. The girls in question were 14. After abuseing the child they posted the video on the internet, The boy didn't tell his parents and his brother found out about the video and told the mother who decided to not press charges.

Also, If I forgot to mention dureing they removal of cloths you could hear the girls laughter and mocking of him. Aswell as the fact they could be seen covering his mouth so he couldn't scream.

If they don't all get seriously punished by the law, our justice system is broken (or at least highly biased). Imagine what would be said about this if the genders were reversed.
