I love how that woman reasoned that Inara SERVICES the entire crew by, like, hearing them talk and being a friend.
i don't think she has a fanbase she just delete's any post that disagree with her way of thinking, And actually goes out of her way to delete or abuse any men that post on her page.akwardwhistle said:What makes me sick is how there are people agreeing with her. It's like she has a fan-base or something.
She also does it cause Mal was her commanding officer in the war, doesn't she?Ghostkai said:The bit about calling the "white male sir", even though he's the fucking captain.... she's not too bright is she?
I stopped right around there.I just...I...I want to say it's a troll but...I...I mean,no one can be this dense, can they? Not really? Please someone tell me it's not true. That this is some elaborate hoax.I'm losing my faith in humanity here. So, Joss Whedon refers to rapist/fuckers who buy women as sex, as "eager, inexperienced but pleasingly shaped" who "make love" to women in prostitution. Obviously, "love" to men like Joss Whedon, requires female powerlessness, force and coercion.
Argh! I hate men.
I can't agree more actually, it really annoys me about some feminists that seem to think that the only way to be a "true" feminist is to be like a man, isn't that sort of ... misogynistic? To me that reads "to be strong you have to stop being a woman and try to be a man". Seems to be the opposite to what feminism actually is.VivaciousDeimos said:Yeah, I saw that too, which is just its own brand of frustrating and at the same time makes you want to sigh, because there's no rational argument you can make because it isn't being received by a rational mind, and anything you say will be interpreted as in support of rape or the pro-male agenda. ~Sigh~Necator15 said:I have a feeling more were calling her out on it, but she deleted the posts, simply because trying to refute people from an obviously incorrect and misandrous position is hardVivaciousDeimos said:And that's the scary part; most of the comments are about how wonderful her article is and how they agree with everything she's saying, only a brave few have pointed out the errors or clear bias. Argh...it makes me want to pull my hair out. Women like this make the rest of us look bad.
Still, if I'm wrong then it's even scarier.
YES! I, too, love being a woman; dressing up, buying shoes, hell I even know how to knit. And I also love guns and fishing and video games and four-wheelers and I love the dichotomy of being both. What feminists like her seem to forget is that we don't have to give up our femininity to achieve equality. It's like the annoying women who say that mothers who choose to stay home with their children, or choose to be housewives are setting women back. No. No they are not. Because as long as it is their choice then I applaud them for doing one of the hardest jobs I can think of.PixieFace said:Feminists like her absolutely her infuriate me. I love being a woman - wearing dresses, brushing my hair, taking care of puppies and children, all that shit. That doesn't mean I am subordinate and "know my place". I know how to fucking stand up for myself but I don't feel the need to trample on good, loving men in the process. Yes, there are scumbags like those soldiers who raped those women - but there are also male heroes in that same military! You can't just look at one bad man and take it as some kind of warped evidence that all men are evil sonsabitches.
Remember the "rule of thumb" scene in Boondock Saints? I imagine this woman is probably like 'ol "Unotuched by Man" from the slaughterhouse.mexicola said:*facepalm* I just stopped reading right there.I have to say that now that I have subjected myself to the horror that is Firefly, I really am beyond worried about how much men hate us,
