2 really recent ones.

Final Fantasy XIII - Very pretty? Check! Interesting Battle System? Check! Great story and characters? Hmmm...

I could not stand these people. Any of them. I don't care if the story is supposed to be a kind of multifaceted buldingsroman. I might have been able to handle it if they were at the very least, uninteresting. But they were annoying at best. I can't slog through six hours of annoying just to get to slightly less annoying.

Heavy Rain - Again, very pretty? Yes. But that's about where it ended for me. The story was, eh. It was a bit too Saw-like for me. And a tad on the predictable side. But I could have handled that if they hadn't padded the game out with senseless activities because they were worried they wouldn't be able to fetch $60 for a six hour game. Changing diapers? Starting my car? How many of these mundane things do I have to do before you'll let me back to the real story?

Diablo I & II - click, click, click, click, teleport back to a store to sell your crap because you have such a small inventory, then click, click, click, click, click. I never understood the appeal.

Final Fantasy IX - a lot of people list this as their favorite FF game. My reaction was "meh." The combat system was pretty basic compared to the previous three games, and the art style was downright hideous.

Elder Scrolls Oblivion - the combat system was pretty basic, and I thought most of the missions were really dull. The game had an "open world," but it was populated with boring characters and repetitive environments.

alot of people have said it

i respect some of these games, as they looked fun and seemed like fun stories to follow, but left me asleep...literally

Half life(1 and 2 and the episodes)- i literally fell asleep basically every 45 minutes playing them, it took me about 5 hours to play through 3 hours of the game (so about 10 for both games) before i turned it off and immediately got rid of the games

portal - while the game wasn't bad, it felt like an old flash game, i played it for a few hours, and was extremely bored after that point, like i said, it felt like an old flash game, so i had no reason to continue with all this hype it had been built up to

bioshock- i really thought i'd like this one, as a story plus moral choices plus some shooting and powers, but honestly i hated it, i forced myself through about half the game and just was done, couldn't stand it, and after hearing about 2 i wouldn't like that one either so didn't try it

might get flamed, but personally i liked halo (they were all pretty good, not one better then the other really imo) and love gears of war (love tps and it seems like a decent story for a shooter) and i love all of ff games(all except for 8, good god i hate that game, that was the first game that actually caused fanboy rage inside of me that game had been made by squaresoft/enix)

feel free to argue my opinions if feelin raged, like i said some of these games seemed great with the concept and genre of it, but just could not get into them at all to the point i fell asleep or was falling asleep

It was just... so boring. So very, very dull & boring.
This. I do not want to fucking walk around EMPTY PLANETS FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE! And even if I skip all that shit then I won't feel like I've finished the game unless have done everything. GAH!

I must say, every GTA game I've played has been monotonous. You can only kill people randomly for so long before you get bored...

I was underwhelmed by Indigo Prophecy. The story was ok to start off with, but then about halfway through spiraled downward into an abyss of McGuffins. It got way too paranormal, the black cop was a walking stereotype, and the love story at the end just happens for the sake of a love story.

I was rolling my eyes all through most of the second half of that game.

Dragon Age: Origins. I found it to be a bland pile of meh that Bioware put out to get a bit more money while they were working on Mass Effect 2.

Look, I hope I don't get flamed for this, but I'm just going to come out and say it.

Halo.
Don't worry. Any hate you got will be multiplied tenfold by what I'm about to say:

Street Fighter IV, Heavy Rain, Portal, all Half Lifes, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Team Fortress 2 and every single Final Fantasy.

I have specific reasons for all of these, but suffice to say, I really don't like these games. It's not a hate for popular things. I like Halo just as much as the next guy, I play a bit of MW2 when the feeling takes me and so on and so forth. It's just those, specific, highly rated games that I have no love for. In some cases, I even have hate when I look at them and think "Why is this so well praised?" Obviously, I know the reason is "People have different opinions, jackass", but it's hard to understand people's love for certain games. For instance, all I hear about Half Life is "The storyline is really good!" Well, that's great, but it's no well rounded shooter. Just in the same way people like Batman: AA because "You get to be the goddamn Batman!" Well, gee, thanks, but I still think it's ridiculously repetitive.
wow, i think i found my equal, we basically have a super similar taste, even in the games you like (not everything but very close) and i couldn't have summed up this any better i dont think, so just copy and pasting what you said

Halo 3, it's not a bad game, but I just don't see any reason to play it more than once.

Bioshock-The beginning was awesome. After that, it wasn't so great.

Dragon Age: Origins for me. I can see that it's a pretty damn good game, but... I don't find the characters all that interesting (with an exception or two), the gameplay doesn't do much for me, the writing is highly competent but doesn't quite have that spark to make it truly compelling.

Borderlands... a game based around blatant grinding, no character development or characters to even speak of (RPG, remember?), unfunny "funny" stuff (the Claptrap for example), Millions of guns with no one good one among them (A pink revolver that shoots rainbows and is powered by nukes, and is as loud as a mouse dying a few miles away?), cartoonish atmosphere (of a post apocalyptic world... yay...). It's like every decission the developers have made was made after the game designer drilled his skull to let the good ideas out...

I hate Borderlands with a passion...

Final Fantasys X, XII and XIII... I can't get into them at all. I'm not sure what it is, but they don't seem to be FF games to me.

MW 2 was a BIG disappointment to me, I enjoyed the campaign, but it felt like it was cut short and the multiplayer just infuriates me no end.

WoW just seems like a bit of a pointless waste of time to me, but then so do most grindfests these days.

Fable 2... I hadn't really learned that Mr.Molyneux promises an awful lot, but doesn't really deliver on all fronts... Don't get me wrong, I still liked Fable 2 but it just didn't wow me at all.
